The tacos are good here but the delivery drivers often try to overcharge you and orders often have items wrong or missing. I assume this is because I order from an English menu and no one there can read English. This is also a problem when one calls to complain about the drivers’ overcharge as nobody can speak english to discuss it with you.

Really good Mexican food, I always get the chicken quesadilla and its one of the best I’ve had around because its so simple. Everything is seasoned perfectly nothing to complain about, this is authentic Mexican food. This place has been here since forever and I hope it stays. It does get a little busy on weekend specially at night.

If you come here during the week you’ll get the short end of the stick. Do you like tamales? You can only get it on weekends. Do you like horchata? You can only get it on Saturdays. Do you like your chips and salsa when dining-in and waiting for your order to arrive at the table? Sorry they don’t do that here. If you expect this here go elsewhere. For some this means nothing but this is a huge deal for me.

The customer service is horrible, when i called the lady wasn’t polite and when i asked the the total, she spoke so low I couldn’t hear and she just hug up. i called back to ask and she seemed annoyed that i would call back to ask the total. Never ordering from here again

Authentic, delicious, and affordable tacos. We got the pollo and al pastor because they were out of our first two choices lengua(beef tongue) and barbacoa(goat). We also ordered the tostones con chorizo, again authentic and so so tasty. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone in in Washington and Hudson Heights to add this to the regular rotation of diverse culinary finds in the city!

For most of my life, this has been my favorite Mexican joint. So far, nothing compares to how well the food is made. From seasoning to preparation, the food is filled with so much flavor, I promise you there is no disappointment. My favorites are Tacos Dorados. They’re made so well. The closest thing to a disappointment that I may have is the wait time but it is understandable. Other than that, this is my favorite go to Mexican spot. MUCHBETTERTHANGRITO’S BADLYSEASONEDFOOD.

For all the Argentine fellows out there, if you miss eating lomitos, these mexican tortas are close enough. Also, the guacamole is delicious, though I am no expert.

I will admit that I really LIKED this place until I watched the cook. They don’t use gloves at all and will they are making tacos or what ever else, they’ll reach into the fridge and touch raw meat and then flipped the tortillas without washing their hands. Sorry but I walked out. I ain’t getting sick no matter how good it taste!

I ordered delivery. The«steak burrito» looked and smelled like dog food and I couldn’t bring myself to touch it! I would give this less than 1 star if I could.

Anyone who thinks this is amazing is crazy or has never had good mexican food idk. I ordered here from seamless bc its cheap. My order never came and they hung up on me when i called. I ordered from here knowing that they store their cooked food in dirty looking plastic chinese containers and recook it to order. But i was hungry and desperate. Plus the workers are a litte slow i saw them hosing down the side walk on the coldest winter day not knowing it turns to ice and i saw someone slip right after carrying bags. These good reviews MUST be an inside job. Just sayin. Gross people.

Love these tacos! Best authentic tacos in my area! I order at least once a week! I always order the steak tacos with extra lime and cheese. Two do the job!

Great Mexican Food. Very delicious and enjoyable food. Try and order your food ahead of the time because they are extremely under staffed and you will sit there for hours waiting for your order. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Highly recommend this restaurant Pros: great food, great prices Cons: long wait, under staffed

Was really craving decent Mexican food, which is virtually impossible to find in NY. Decided to try my luck with this place because of the good reviews. Because I knew from previous reviews that the staff spoke absolutely no English, I ended up ordering online via their website, printed the confirmation(with the order highlighted), and showed it to the cashier when I arrived to pick up my food. It worked like a charm. Atmosphere: Total hole in the wall. Barely any seats. Just pick your food up and go home. Service: N/A. Only said two words to the cashier due to the language barrier, paid my food and bounced. Food: Pretty decent. I had the chicken torta, which was basically a sandwich with lettuce, tomato and pickled jalapenos. Nice and filling. Next day I had the chilaquiles rojos with spicy pork, and rice w/black beans. This dish was quite flavourful, with the right amount of kick and filled you up nicely. This place will satisfy your Mexican food cravings if you can’t jump on the plane to Cali anytime soon. Will be back… and hopefully, I’ll be able to order in Spanish!

This was my favorite go-to spot for Mexican food in the Heights. Until today that is. I’ve ordered from them via Grubhub in the past and always had a speedy delivery. Today was different. I placed the order at 4:11pm, was charged on my card, and received my standard«Your order was received by the kitchen at 4:25» email. Fast forward, it’s 5:46(more than an hour and 20 min later) and I still haven’t gotten my food. I called the restaurant and the young woman on the phone tells me my order left. Okay. I wait until 6:05, call again and she finally tells me that she never received my order and that I should place it again. What? Why should I order again if I already paid? And why did she lie to me in the first place? Terrible service. Never ordering from here again. Still hungry

Everything here is really good! I was very surprised at the quality of this Mexican Food in Washington Heights. Reasonably priced and lots of options besides tacos and burritos. They even have some Dominican/Mexican fusion like their Tostones a la Mexicana. Think Nachos but with Fried Plantains and your choice of meat. Delicious! Favorite Meats here, Al Pastor, Chorizo, Carnitas, Steak. Give this hidden gem a try!

Horrible customer service. I ordered via seamless because the restaurant is only spanish speaking and i had no one available to translate for me. I waited over an hour and the food never came. I called the restaurant numerous times, and finally when someone picked up, I had a coworker of mine who speaks spanish to speak to them regarding my order. They told her that they never received the order and that they normally get a fax when an order on seamless comes up. My coworker then asked how the customer is supposed to know if they get a fax when on the customers end it says the order has been placed. The lady said that after you order online, you have to call the restaurant to confirm the order… then the lady hung up on my coworker. Never ended up getting the food, and now there’s a pending charge on my credit card.

Amazing. Try anything with verde in it, such as Chilaquiles Verdes, or rojo, Enchiladas Rojos. The sauces are tasty because they are homemade. Pretty hot and spicy. The chips are fried in house. I have no complaints. We are lucky to have this place in this neighborhood. Otherwise we would have to go to Queens. To put into context how good this is: I was in San Francisco recently and was underwhelmed by the Mexican food being served in the Tenderloin area. I was thinking of El Paisa and how superior it is. It is a take out and delivery place primarily. There aren’t many seats. The people working there are really nice, too.

The food here is really fresh and delicious. There are three different contenders for«Best Mexican Food» in the nearby neighborhood, and I believe this place ranks third, following Mi Ranchito(formerly La Villita One) in second, and Los Jarritos in first. But it’s a really tough distinction, as they each have their own strengths and traditions. What Tacos El Paisa does head-and-shoulders better than anybody else is their Fried Tortilla Chips(which are thick and fried to perfection) and their Guacamole(which is remarkably chunky, tangy, and spicy). Seriously, I would(and have) come here just to order these. Seriously, I would(and have) come here and order two orders of these and nothing else, they’re that good. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, enchiladas, nachos — all are incredible. Their delivery is fast, which is nice, but one thing that slightly gets on my nerves is that they never seem to have specialty menu items available. But I’ll keep coming back, hoping.
