Taim’s falafels are FANTASTIC gluten-free nuggets of heaven. I am in LOVE with this place. The meal is more than a generous amount of food, so I had a snack to munch on throughout the next day at work! We ordered on Caviar, and the food was delivered about 10 mins past the estimated delivery time. I was hangry, so I just went at it after snapping a few pics. I have never inhaled falafels before until this faithful day. The crisp texture, evidence of fresh oil for cooking(not the reused disgusting garbage some other places use), matched with the perfect soft green awesome core, and with quick dip of it in the hummus and some spice… BAM! My eye were rolling deep into my head, I almost saw my brain. The salads and pickles on the side were awesome add-ons. I shall return soon. It’s the only fried food I will eat!

When I used to INTERN in Soho this was my go to lunch spot. Their service is quick, easy and they are afforadable! Becarefull when you go for lunch because there lunch can get really long. Be sure to try there falafel sandwich with their hot sauces. Trust me it made a world of difference when you’re eating.

This is my FAVORITE Mediterranean food and such a great value for the money. We order delivery from Taim at least once a week. Their Mediterranean platter is fantastic – hummus and pita with 3 vegetables– I usually get tabouli, babaganoush and beets salad and add feta cheese. Delivery is always fast and quality is always consistent. The falafel is also fantastic as well!

Excellent falafel and at a reasonable price. This place is clean and chic unlike the roadside food trucks of NYC. I loved the Fallafel sandwich I had and I still need to go there the next time to order the other dishes. So many vegetarian options that I need to think beforehand as I might just stand and stare when it’s my turn to order. Loved the food.

Fresh, tasty, healthy and authentic Sabich(eggplant) sandwich is as satisfying as a cheeseburger. Bravo. Hummus and tahini have aromas that linger. Addictive. Today’s tabbouleh had a touch too much lemon. Otherwise everything was delicious. Will return again.

I dream about the falafel at Taim. When I worked in Manhattan(UWS) my co-worker and I would trek all the way downtown when we got the kick for some good falafel. I highly recommend a falafel sandwich, and make sure you order it «with everything». Current mood: salivating just thinking about it. I also really enjoy the fried eggplant on the side, and if you’re really hungry(or have a friend with you) order a side of fries with the saffron aioli. Yum yum! This location is a bit bigger than their West Village location and offers some seating, but it’s still pretty tight. If it’s nice out you’re better off getting your food to go, and finding a park to sit down and eat. It can get a little pricey here, but trust me it’s worth it. If you’re in the area, or always searching for the next yummy falafel then you MUST make it a point to get to Taim.

Great food! The falafel is one of the best I ever had, and I have falafel at many different places around the world. This a perfect place to get delicious and healthy food. The Unique falafel flavors are very special! The place is nice and clean and everything was very fresh and made to order. They were quite willing to substitute the hummus for a different salad from the salad bar at no extra charge. The portions are very nicely sized and we all left quite full. I think I have found my new favorite falafel place.

You can’t go wrong with a Taim falafel! For a quick dinner, Taim is one of my local neighborhood favorites. Food is delicious, service is quick and prices are reasonable(if you steer clear of the extras i.e. soup/smoothies/etc). I wasn’t a huge fan of their full platter but their falafel sandwiches hit the spot! Perfect balance between hummus, sauce, falafel, salad and pickled cabbage! my only tiny complaint with the falafel sandwiches stems from the quantity — I wish it had a little more food but if I get one of the extras i. e soup/smoothies then the meal in my opinion is too pricey. Not to mention their black bean soup was on the bland side. ps I wish they were open an hour or two later(currently they close at 9 and I’d really appreciate if I could get their falafel’s late night).

I can eat the za’atar pita bread daily. It’s so mindblowing delicious. Sure, the falafels and the cold salads in the mixed platter plate are well worth the money($ 13). Also, it’s a lot of food for one person. I’m still full even though I had it 6 hours ago But the winner is definitely the pita bread. I wonder if I can buy the baked pita bread with za’atar spread nicely on top.

Taim has the best falafel I’ve ever had. It’s cooked absolutely perfectly which a nice crunch on the outside and beautifully green and moist on the inside. The service and prices are great, but there is limited to no seating depending on the crowd(that doesn’t take away from how good the food is here). Every time I’m in the area, I make it a priority to go here for a quick lunch. I now use this falafel as a baseline for all falafel’s I try. I have yet to find better.

Came here with a friend for dinner. This place is tiny and packed. I know it was the dinner rush but it’s way too crowded in here. When you come in you order and get a ticket number and you can try and grab a seat by the counter. Unfortunately this is Soho so it’s not like you can go outside and get a seat on a bench. There’s 3 types of falafels: regular, spicy and roasted red peppers. You can get hummus on the side or get a falafel platter and they have sides like french fries. They had a good looking selection of smoothies I’d try when I come back here. I got a spicy falafel with a side of eggplants. The falafel was good but it could have spicier. The roasted eggplants were really good too. Portions here are pretty good, I had leftovers for lunch the next day. There’s an island type of thing where you can get your silverware and napkins. Now my only complaint about this place is the silverware because there’s a lot of water stains on them which means they don’t dry them after they wash them. Not only is this unattractive and a tad gross lots of people go through the silverware looking for the cleanest fork and god knows where their hands have been.

Taim is one of the best falafel platters that we’ve ever had, in any city, in any country. No exaggeration. You get a huge platter of food for the price, though it’s often a long line to wait, but it’s definitely well worth it. We usually get the mixed platter, not being able to choose which of the three falafel flavors we want most. I love the original, and the contrast of the mild sweetness of the roasted red pepper. The hummus is always a good texture and has the right amount of tangy fresh lemon flavor. The Israeli salad is fresh and bright, the tabouli is tender and also so bright, and everything just goes so well together. We love the individual dishes of sauce, mixing and matching combination bites with the different options and the fresh hot pita. I’ve recommended this place out to a few falafel lovers, and even received a holiday card as a specific thank you for this recommendation — again, no exaggeration. If you’re craving falafel, this is a great option in NYC.

High quality falafel spot in the heart of SoHo. Clean, menu is easy to navigate and pleasing to the eye. I like to try a little bit of everything whenever I check out a new spot so the platter was a perfect choice for me since it included all 3 of the falafels that they offer. All were tasty and didn’t prefer one over the other. Also comes with your own personal sauce dish which included tahini sauce, spicy oil, and mint sauce which looked(and tasted!) fresh. Although a bit pricey($ 13 for the platter!), I will definitely return if I’m in the area or to try one of their sandwiches.

Some of the best falafel I’ve had in NYC! I’ve eaten at few places serving falafel and Mediterranean specialties but most weren’t impressive enough to write about. This one was so flavorfully seasoned and came with all my favorite topping for 6.95. Many places I’ve been charge extra for hummus in my sandwich. I also got the fried eggplant which was good up to certain point. They didn’t give the eggplant enough time to drain the oil so after a while it was a oil and eggplant soup. But the stuff on top(forgot what it is, I think tahini sauce) was great. I suggest draining it longer and or breading it so it won’t turn into mush.

If you’re going to charge a ridiculous $ 6.75 for a falafel sandwich, when you can get one for less than half of that elsewhere(Mamoun’s, EVERYWHEREELSE), it better be damn good. Well, it is. Take my money! There are a few flavors to choose from. Yay options! I stick with the harissa, which is mildly spicy. You can’t go wrong with either of the other two though — the traditional or the red(mixed with roasted red peppers). The sandwich is slathered with some excellent creamy hummus, israeli salad, pickled cabbage and tahini sauce. The falafel balls are just so crisp yet moist, mm. I also really love that the they’re tucked evenly throughout the sandwich, so you’re not stuck eating the latter half of it with just salad. I’ve tried one of their signature smoothies too — date, lime banana. I expected it to be sweeter but it wasn’t so, perfect. Creamy and refreshing. Good stuff, Taim.

Taim(«tah-eem») is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Far from fancy, there’s really no ambiance and no meat on the menu. Meals are prepared to order which may mean you wait 20 minutes on a busy day. Both the Nolita and West Village locations churn incredible volumes out of small kitchens and never seem to have enough seating to dine in comfortably. I am one of those people you see smushed against the windows stuffing their face here. And this is why: That sabich platter! It makes me swoon. This comes with 4 – 6 slices of fried eggplant(fried in canola oil, not covered in batter), tahini and a sliced hard boiled egg spread across a heap of hummus. About 4 oz each of tasty Moroccan carrots and light Israeli salad(diced tomato, cucumber and parsley) are included as well alongside a warm zataar-coated pita. On the side they provide three sauces: spicy cilantro, sweet brown, and MORE tahini for your topping pleasure. This sounds like a lot because it IS a lot of food and every bite is fantastic. I order an extra pita on the side and can easily split this with a friend for dinner. The falafel is also as wonderful as other reviewers here rave, the freshness and superior ingredients vs. your standard falafel joint make any comparisons a waste of time. Try them yourself and you’ll see. Also both the white and wheat pitas are consistently fresh and served warm. My only less-than-stellar experiences here were the sabich and babaganoosh sandwiches. The filling was just too sloppy to be contained in a pita and eating this tasty stuff in a mushy mess gave me a sad. Their smoothies are definitely worth saving some room for — the date & banana and the pear, mint lemon are perfect for summer. If you like this type of food Taim is worth going out of your way. I’d recommend coming here hungry and trying as much as you can.

This store is muchhh bigger than the one on Waverly. Newer, more seats, and just much more comfortable overall. Now when it comes to the falalfels, not sure why everyone loves the falafels so much =X I think it’s cool that they have 3 flavors of falalfels, so I can’t help but wonder maybe people love this place so much because there are more flavors available to them as opposed to just 1. I got the mixed falafel platter to try all three of the falafel flavors, and I like Harissa — the mild spicy one — the most as I tend to like spicy stuff. The hummus is okay. I did however like the whole wheat pita. That was pretty good. I’d say this place is okay. I’d most likely not have this again as there are so many other falafel, and good falafel, places in NYC that I’d want to check out and hit up. However, A+ for being a vegetarian restaurant. :)

Huge fan of the cantaloupe ginger smoothie. The amount of ginger was a nice touch that complimented the overall flavor of the smoothie instead of overpowering it. Also ordered the Sabich sandwich, which was so delicious. The eggplant, hard-boiled egg, toppings, hummus, and sauce worked really well together. Space is tiny, but definitely worth a visit!
