Taroo

A lovely little boutique with lots of charm. I came across this place while I walking on Amsterdam and took a peek in. While the clothes were reasonably priced, I found the jewelry to be a bit pricey but the quality is good.
I bought a beautiful and sparkly bracelet for my mom which she loved by the way. Hope they get more cute stuff and maybe reduce the price a bit.
Last point, the lady at the counter was friendly and not pushy, helpful and honest.

Was in this part of the city for brunch. This store is tiny but sooo cute. The clothes are pretty, but the jewelry is amazing! So many beautiful pieces! The girl at the store was soo nice and helpful. I just wish it was a little cheaper, but will definitely be back :)

With the economy, shopping has become more budgeted and less frequent than ever. I stumbled into this fabulous, affordable botique and have been enjoying fashionable and fun fall clothing. Not to mention an amazing saleswoman who had great taste and helped me did just the right clothes for my style and physique.

I discovered this little boutique purely by accident. And it just so happened to be a great find. The day that i happened to find taro, they were having a sale, where everything in the stroe was $ 50.
I ended up buying a originally $ 125 dress, for $ 50. The overall style of the clothes in Taroo were pretty trendy. But you really have to look around, cause it can be a it or miss. If i went in there on a regular non-​sale day i probably wouldnt have been as impressed, because the clothes were slightly overpriced for the quality, but that is to expected in new york city.

While walking around on a a Saturday afternoon, I saw this place had some sale items and decided to check it out.
It turned out to be a very positive shopping experience.
The young girl working there was very helpful, (maybe a slight bit pushy, but she was also really nice, so I can overlook it.)
I found an awesome pair of skinny jeans. I have NEVER been able to find skinny jeans that fit right, and don’t make me feel like a fat ass, but I was in luck at this store.
They even offered to call another store if I wanted another color that they didn’t have in my size there.
They were a little expensive, but it’s a Manhattan boutique, so it’s to be expected.
The jeans I bought here were cheaper than some, but more expensive than others… If I lived in the neighborhood, I’d probably shop here for certain items.

The window displays always make me go in there and then I’m usually disappointed. This place is small in size, the dressing rooms are SO cramped I could barely get out of my clothes never mind getting into the others.
That being said I have gotten a couple of gems from this store, really unique items that people always ask, «where did you get that?»
If you have one of these in your hood, stop in from time to time, you might find something awesome, or you might just get claustrophobia.

This cute little store was just a stone’s throw away from where Christina and I stayed when we visited New York, and we found it completely by accident while walking aimlessly around the vicinity of our apartment.
The clothes in Taroo are pretty trendy. There are lots of basic blacks and whites, and the occasional bright-​colored fun outfit. There weren’t many outlandish dresses or strange outfits, and their stuff is generally very wearable for casual days out.
I got a black muslin tunic top for about $ 70. I don’t think I overpaid for it because it was pretty well made; Christina, however, did spot a couple of items that were pretty close to what she’d seen earlier at Forever 21, and they weren’t particularly well made. She didn’t buy anything.
There were some cute shoes that looked like the classic Chanel quilted ballet flats and cost only about $ 30. I walked all round the store in them and they were pretty soft and comfortable.
I recommend this store to those who like simple, no-​frills designs. But do look carefully because not all their items are of fantastic quality.
