I came here for a friend’s birthday party yesterday, and I’m definitely a fan! With an everyday happy hour between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., I was able to take advantage of a couple of $ 8 glasses of Riesling, which I paired with a plate of salami picante and cheese. Everything was delicious. Too bad that it is slated to close come fall.

Food was mediocre for the price, and the wine selection is above average.

What a great chill spot just a short walk away from our place. Service was attentive, drink menu extensive with a lot of great options, and food was unique and tasty. We will definitely be adding this to our top fav places in the neighborhood and would bring guests and friends here for a chill dinner or drinks night.

I like this Wine bar because it looks fancy yet its not too pretentious. The bartenders are always willing to recommend a good wine based on your liking and they have usually been spot on with my tastes(im a sweet wine kinda gal!). I love that all the wine glasses bare the logo of the place which is cool. They have small plates which compliment any wine. I especially love their bruschetta with cottage cheese and honey! Wines can be a bit pricey but I guess thats what you pay for quality wines!

I cannot stop thinking about Terroir, I am determined to try all 4 locations. And cannot wait for the High Line location to open. I went for a glass or two of wine and fell in love with their food. Our waiter was great, he brought three different types of sparkling wine and they just got better and better as the night went on. They serve Mediterranean inspired foods, the calamari salad is unlike any calamari salad I have ever had, instead of greasy, rubbery calamari you get fresh, seasoned calamari that just melts in your mouth. My co-worker had a ricotta, honey, rosemary toast that looked out of this world. Great wine, food and service, unfortunately despite how saturated NY is with restaurants those three things are very hard to find now a days. I am glad I stumbled upon Terroir!

Came for happy hour, which seemed like a good deal, but was let down by the food big time. Nothing tasted good. And everything was kinda pricey. Ordered several small dishes, and while nothing stuck out as awful, there was generally no flavor to any of the dishes. Under seasoned and tasteless. Wine was fine and so was the service, however. But definitely wouldn’t rush back.

Clearly wine bars and I get along, and I’m happy to add Terrior Park Slope to my list. I came on a Thursday night with a large group of co-workers – we were greeted with a smile and sat in the back, where the tables are a little larger for bigger groups. This is a great place to come for a variety of reasons: friends catching up, date night, after work wine session. The menu is a bit overwhelming, but our server was more than friendly, and let us taste different wines to find the best ones for the night. I know some places make you feel like a jerk for not knowing all they know about wine, but I did not get that vibe here. We arrived at the tail end of happy hour and our server let us know and pointed out the happy hour wines to us. The pours were very nice as well – no skimping here! The food was good for soaking up wine and keeping us full – we shared orders of a few things, including the mozzarella balls, the ricotta on toast, and the yoshi fried chicken, which was my favorite dish. Long story short: I had a great time here and drank some great wine. Come here if you want the same!

Came here for brunch today with a friend of mine. I enjoyed the meal, which was a rapini, bacon fritatta and a mimosa. The service, overall, was good. The only thing I wasn’t happy about was the look that our waiter gave me when I asked for some salt and pepper at the table. It wasn’t a nice look and once he put the condiments on the table, he said«normally we don’t put it on the table because the chef should season the food well…» Okay… I understand but taste is subjective and MAYBE I like a little extra pepper on my fritatta. But that was a small part of my overall experience. I was satisfied with the food and service.

This place has such potential. Great wine selection, perfect atmosphere, awesome location. Too bad the guy at the door with an accent is a dick.

I really can’t say enough about how great this place is. I’m a HUGE fan of all the Terroirs and the one in Park Slope is roomy! which is the only drawback of the LES one(tinyness and crowded factor) so this place is pretty much perfection. The best element of this place is the wine list. Inventive, well researched, and so many wines by the glass that are the same price as ¼ bottle, that is, you don’t save money by buying a bottle so it encourages you to be adventurous. And that is the fun of this place; these guys know their stuff and make it so approachable — smartypants winos who are APPROACHABLE. Table for two, please. What’s more is it seems like every staff member is a somm or somm lite because even those clearing plates could answer wine-related questions, in that down to earth, approachable manner that makes you want to come back for more. AND they have a happy hour before 7pm, where select wines(and some foods) are almost half off. These small plates are delicious, too, and if you get enough of them, you can call it dinner. There are actually quite a few saucy mozzarella balls for $ 6; a nice little terrine full of them!(I wanted to order another they were so good but KToy wouldn’t let me) I’m a little obsessed with farro, so their farro salad could not go wrong in my book — brussels sprouts, dried cherry, apple. The pastas were my least favorites, but still solid, with the pork ragu/ricotta one being a touch too salty and the spaetzle being a bit too mustardy. Consider this a love letter to all the Terroirs, but the one in Park Slope is just calling your name — or yours and five friends’!

The food and wine selection are excellent. The service? Not so much. Might I start by saying that I do not need hand-holding. If I don’t need anything, I don’t mind that you don’t check in. I am happy eating and drinking and conversing. That said, we didn’t know we were to seat ourselves, so we waited what seemed a little too long until one of the two un-busy employees motioned that we take our pick of seats. The specials were stated in such a rushed fashion that I didn’t know what the answer to my question was. After enjoying a nice bottle of Barbera d’Alba with an appetizer and entrée course we waited for either of the two employees to ask if we wanted anything else, because we did. We wanted two more glasses of wine and dessert. I had to go up to the bar and ask for those items. Again, there were maybe eight patrons in the place, half of which were at the bar. After enjoying our dessert, we waited around for someone to offer us anything: another drink, or perhaps even a check. Again, after waiting a good ten minutes, I got up and asked for the check. It’s funny, because after we left, mind you at a reasonable hour just before 10:00 p.m., the two employees were at our table cleaning up after us in less than a minute. Ten minutes is not too long to wait when you are in a busy place that is mindful of your experience. It’s not too long to wait in most situations. However, when the staff is polishing glasses and chatting with their friends at the bar and trying to close up, and their guests are made to wait over and over again, it feels likes negligence.

I’ve long been a fan of Terroir Tribeca and couldn’t be more pleased about the addition of a Park Slope outpost. I love the gut renovation of the space formerly occupied by the not so great dive, Great Lakes, and the dark, sleek décor, with a variety of seating, accommodating large groups, parties of two, and singletons at the bar. Happy hour is a great deal and not to be missed – I tried an excellent glass of French bubbly at half price. Later, my group shared a reasonably priced bottle of a crisp, dry white wine, A.O.C. Gaillic, «Les Greilles,» produced biodynamically by Causse Marines. The bartender was very knowledgeable and accommodating, offering us tastes of everything before we committed to it. Although I didn’t try any food on this visit, my friend was very impressed with the eggplant panini. This is the wine bar that Park Slope needed.

Love the food and the wine and that the staff is always attentive and knowledgeable about both. Although, I was disappointed when I arrived an hour before closing hours to be told that the kitchen was already closed. I work in the service industry so I am sensitive about these things. I would never show up 5 minutes before closing and expect to be served but an hour… I wasn’t impressed by that. I think they may have updated the website to indicate that the kitchen closes an hour before the bar closes. It really is a great restaurant. You know it is when you have a craving and you’re well on your way to having it and then you can’t? The faro salad and is amazing. Very flavorful.

Loved the place. It’s comfortable and very chilled out. A place where you can sit and have a good conversation with your friends. Not too loud and rowdy! The server does a great job at recommending wines based on your taste and preference. They let you taste the wine before ordering it and are very generous about it. So if you don’t like the taste of one you can ask for another wine. They are patient and want you to enjoy your selection. They don’t have a full kitchen so the food options are limited to finger-snack food. We tried the risotto balls, the chicken and tomato basil brushetta. All were delicious. It’s certainly not a dinner place. It’s just perfect for tasting a variety of wines and having a relaxed pre-dinner session with friends.

I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s a great place to meet friends for a drink and a bite. Not a huge meal, fyi. But the mezze/tapas they offer are amazing. Roasted cauliflower and farro salad – delicious! The saucy mozzarella balls are also wonderful. The olives were great. Can’t remember what else we tried but there are ample options, and a decent selection for vegetarians. The wines are delicious and they have quite a selection, but they are pricey, and there’s no price discount if you get a glass or a bottle. But, still, great around-the-world selection. The ambiance is great. They have done a nice job renovating. Stools and tall tables at the front and a long table in back that is great for a large group. Good acoustics. Friendly staff.

Same greatness as all the other Terroirs(EASILY my favorite wine bar in the city), except the happy hour is TWO hours! Even better(except I don’t live in Park Slope). Why does everything good happen in Park Slope? Y’all know about the happy hour right — $ 6 wines(GOOD ones too), free sherry, bar snack specials. Get on it. I’m not even mad about the overexpansion. Just don’t start crossing state lines, Terroir, or it’s over.

This corner wine bar caught my attention when I was passing through on 5th Ave, but I am not so sure if it hit out of the ballpark for me. The wine list overly extensive. A binder for your menu is a bit overwhelming. I didn’t know where to begin or end. I felt like I was in college again, skimming a book before finals, but not retaining any information. The waitstaff are knowledgeable and are pleasant. A nice sexy vibe. I would say come here for a nice glass of wine before a night out or a night cap before you head to bed. The food is all right, but you get model sized portions when you pay a decent amount to feed a normal person’s appetite. My calamari salad was yummy, but I searched the bottom of my napkin and under my glass for the rest of my salad. This side bowl is all I get for $ 11? Really? But I have to say the calamari was cooked to the right tenderness where it was not gummy. I liked the sourness of the dressing. The chickpeas and the celery added a nice mix. Get a drink, but go somewhere else for more economical grub.

Terroir was our fav wine bar in the EV, and so it was sad to leave it behind when we moved to Brooklyn. But now they’ve followed us out here so life is good once more. I’m not much of a wine drinker. All I know is that I like Rieslings, so god bless any wine bar that has over 12 on the menu, and also on tap. The food isn’t all that spectacular, but hey, it’s a wine bar. The win for that and for the décor. Great spot and we’re glad to have them in our hood once more.

My GF lives next door to this new spot and was anxious to check out what she was sure would become her new go-to neighborhood spot for a glass of wine. The interior was dark and sexy, the menu looked promising, and expectations were high. We decided to go balls to the wall and split a bottle of rosé. We’re not into white and we didn’t want wine-teeth stains to impede our seduction of attractive strangers later that eve. I cracked open the large wine binder and perused the first page: Riesling. I turned to the second page: Riesling. The third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh: Riesling. Ummm, what? We asked the waitress if there was a mistake with our list, she said no. We asked if they had any bottles of rosé and she said she had to check. A manager came over and we asked again if they had a good bottle of the pink stuff, he said, «I’m embarrassed to say that we do not.» I know that some wine enthusiasts see rosé as unfashionable, but that is a pretty pretentious, throwback attitude. Sommeliers around the city now embrace blush in their wine programs. Indeed, the bottle list was ENTIRELYRIESLING, though he let us know that we could order any of the wines-by-the glass(which consisted of sparkling, a few reds, and some more Rieslings), as a bottle. We gave up and just ordered beer. We split the beet-risotto balls(very tasty, but in need of dipping sauce, why no dipping sauce?!), the Bahn Mi Italiano(a panini with pâté and pickeled veggies, very rich and tasty), and the farrow salad(fresh tasting with great texture.) I have years of professional experience working with fine dining restaurants and I’ve never encountered a wine list so narrow. Opening a wine bar that offers only one varietal is just Crazytown. Terroir needs to develop a more extensive list that has a bottle to suit every taste, and THEN develop an additional Riesling-focused program. It could become both a solid wine bar and destination for Riesling enthusiasts. We went on their second day of business, so I would definitely be willing to try again, but they need to seriously rethink their wine list and step up their service game if they are going to make this work. There is a lot of potential here, but seriously guys, ease up on the Riesling!!!

Had a great experience with my girlfriend on opening night of Terroir Park Slope. Looking to have a glass of wine and a nice meal as a study break, we decided to check out Terroir after hearing it had recently been opened in the Slope. Turns out, tonight was its opening night. We were seated right away without a wait, although the place was full and lively the entire time we were there. We should have done a little more research as we then found it they had a free glass of sherry as a happy hour special before 7:00PM! We already decided we were going to head back for that. Our server was very attentive even though he was incredibly busy. He even helped us pair our wine, charcuterie and cheese selections, all of which were excellent(Finochietti & Caciotta di Capra con peep). We split the Duck ham panini, though we didn’t know what Duck ham was at first(our server explained it to us as duck prosciutto). We didn’t think our palets were developed enough for this meal, but I still think everything tasted GREAT! Still a little pricey for my student budget, but I am definitely coming back for the happy hour!
