Awesome ambiance and atmosphere. Kind of Moroccan feel to it. The lounge area is good for hanging out and having drinks. Didn’t eat there but I did get the peppers and peach drink. It was not at all my taste. I love spicy food and I can handle a lot of spicy and hot but I’ve never drank something spicy before, like I was expecting the spiciness to be subtle and the peach to be strong but that was not the case. I downed it quick just to get rid of it haha. But now I know! Honestly glad I tried it. Really cool place though. Just very expensive for someone who’s not used to paying the NYC price for drinks.

My girlfriends and I came here to celebrate an engagement. I was a little wary since they are always open reservations on OpenTable, but I was postitively surprised with our experience. They have a nice bar scene if you are looking for that but also have reservations for tables– so you know you can sit and eat. The drinks aren’t cheap but they are delicious. The food was really good as well. We had some flatbreads and other apps. I would love to return for tea!

I have to say I was overall disappointed by this evenings service. The food was delicious and I cannot argue that. However, I thought the hostess and the bartender were rude and arrogant. The waiter was friendly when present, but was rarely present and often ignored us. As a fairly large group we spent well over $ 600… Nonetheless, our service was subpar and extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant in the future – especially in an area surrounded by so many wonderful establishments.

Amazing food and atmosphere, but really disappointed by the server and hostess. I came with a group of 8 friends and we were disrespected by the hostess when some members of our party were late(delayed flight to NYC, out of their control). The hostess finally told us she could seat us as long as we «ordered food as soon as we sat down.» When we did finally sit down, our server was distant at best. It took him an hour to come around to take our appetizer orders. We later learned that 20% gratuity was included, so why should he have been attentive? Just disappointed. We came to celebrate a friend’s graduate school graduation and we left with a sour taste in our mouths.

This hotel is beautiful and the restaurant matches with eclectic design and oversized pieces. The menu is great with fresh and healthy options and great espresso as well. I had the salmon which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I would definitely come back for lunch or dinner without hesitation.

This rating is based solely on the bar and the atmosphere. The bar service was friendly and great mixologists. They served me a delicious drink which I cannot think of the name. However all of the people I was with agreed that their drinks are delicious and well made. The décor is so pretty and so is the bathrooms. I had to stop myself from wanting to take several selfies in their bathroom because it is just so nice. Great place to stop by, for either food and drinks or tea time.

I always trust Unilocal and it’s always very accurate but the reviews on this place does not do it justice! The food was above average and the service was very good ! I really liked the place!

Beautiful bar and hotel! Loved the muddled mojito($ 16.50) and chips with guacamole($ 10). They also bring free smoked almonds with your cocktail. But make no mistake — it’s expensive, but when in the Soho area, there aren’t a whole lotta bar options and it was a fun location to catch up with friends. Service was good!

Thoroughly enjoyed having afternoon tea in this beautiful establishment! There were a number of tea options and the little finger foods and pastries were incredible. Everything was super flavorful and well thought out. We even had a visit from the pasty chef and a few other people who worked at the establishment. I would definitely be back! The establishment was beautiful, the food was great, and the service was wonderful. Highly reccomend, it’s such an experience!

Came here for Sunday breakfast buffet. For $ 24 all you get is fruits, muffins, yogurt and granola. They don’t even serve milk with granola. No drinks included in the buffet. Nothing savory. We ordered 2 glasses of freshly squeezed orange juice, which I saw them pour from store-sold plastic containers and each cost $ 8. If you want to order eggs with your buffet, it’s $ 17 for 2 eggs. The prices are ridiculous here. And they automatically add 20% tip to all orders. I’m leaving hungry and disappointed.

Friends and I came here for tea time. They have a lovely assortment of teas. I ended up choosing the hibiscus because it has vitamin C(not really, mostly because it was hibiscus). Their scones were definitely delicious. I believe there was a hint of cinnamon in them. The preserves were also quite wonderful(raspberry and orange). Next time, I might just order a basket of scones instead of tasting all of the other items. Service was excellent and the restrooms have soap and lotion. Yea. Love when bathrooms provide fancy lotion.

It’s a cool spot with great food, creative drinks, and great décor. The clientele I’d upscale, well dressed. Service is good. Very good actually. I had the mixed vegetable salad which was delicious, extremely fresh with nice hints like tropical onions and very fresh veggies with a light dressing. The sea bass was great again with a delicious, but light sauce. Cauliflower grilled side was decadent(with cheese) and yum. The place has good lounge music and not too loud so you can talk. Prices are average for New York and this neighborhood is great.

Swanky… lovely…pretty…are those all words to describe a bar? Yes, if it’s this bar. great hotel and better bar with a very nice patio(if it’s not snowing) Good selection of wines and little bites. Staff is spot on and very nice. Good pour(always important) and god private spots to have a convo with that someone special or just a friend. The bar has a tea service that looked great. Best of all is the light. It is beautifully lit and with huge windows, it is truly a gem. Right off the main shopping street in oh so trendy Spring, this is a great mid afternoon sip of the anything. Maybe a bit pricy, but hell… you get smokehouse almonds so go already!

Very stylish décor + mediocre drinks + slow service… I think 3 out of 5 stars is a more than generous rating for the bar. The drinks were strong so they get the job done, but they weren’t enjoyable to imbibe. The Crosby Bar attracts a diverse mix with hipsters sitting next to an older more respectable looking crew, a fat silent couple, well dressed young professionals making loud jokes, and me observing them all. It was easy to get a table, but then again it was Sunday during MLK weekend. I give the Film Club 5⁄5 stars. What a fantastic experience!!! We watched Boyhood(side note: definitely watch this if you haven’t already). If you’re tired of going to see movies in bed bug infested theaters where the people next to you are chowing down on some disgusting orange blob masquerading as nachos and cheese… join the film club. It’s pricier, but worth it.

Usually better. Went for afternoon tea but service was pretty much non existent. Had to ask to order, had to ask which cakes were which. Food and tea was good however. Believe today was just an exception from the usual good service there.

Came here a long time ago with my best friend and a group of mutual friends for after-dinner cocktails to celebrate her birthday. Cocktails here are $ 20 and beer will set you back $ 10…even with a very limited beer menu… which I totally understand since this a hotel cocktail bar. The cocktail bar does look pretty fantastic and the overall ambience of this place is very chic and elegant, but after a pricey dinner(which was a disappointingly lackluster cheese burgher at a nearby restaurant) I couldn’t bring myself to have anything else but a glass of water on the rocks. There are too many equally as chic places in NYC where you can get better cocktails for like $ 10 – 15. 3 stars.

Fabulous lunch spot in SoHo! The food was delicious and the staff were very accommodating with menu item changes/substitutions on the salads. The tuna tartare was fresh and flavorful. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely place to eat on a warm day, BUT the service was horribly slow! My sister and I wanted to order more wine but the server never returned. Plus, I’d asked for the dressing to be changed on my salad, and it was not changed. Despite the slow service and order mistake, I’d go back as it’s a nice, quiet place to grab a bite to eat while shopping in SoHo. If you’re in a rush, you’re probably better off eating inside vs. outside. Also, the prices were fairly steep, but somewhat expected for hotel dinning.

What a remarkable failure this place is. Clearly this place was conceived by someone who fancies themselves a real chic trail-blazer because no one with taste or awareness for how enjoyable, rare and unique New York soul is would think they can operate such an abjectly ordinary establishment unless their mind was clouded with delusions of grandeur. Moreover they would never expect to get away with such a sedative, boring place and expect these asinine prices to be justified unless they were truly delusional. I’ve never seen such a low bar set for what some people writing reviews here have called«luxury.» Only people who don’t understand their options would consider this worth any of what they pay. Before you make the bad decision to come here for a couple casual drinks or any food in their exceedingly bland space with out-of-style décor and music, make sure you take a tour of the neighborhood and go absolutely anywhere else. Crosby puts me in the unfortunate position of having no choice but to think that the people who have gone about establishing it have not only not been anywhere nearby, but they also don’t expect their patrons to have been or ever go because there’s simply no reason to be here. Free wifi is not a saving grace in 2014, I’m sorry. If you happen to order a gin and tonic here you should know that it will cost you $ 20, just about twice what you’ll pay anywhere else. That’s not rounding. That’s just what they charge for a gin drink. It doesn’t say it on the menu, either, so hopefully this makes it around to people who might mistake this place to be operating along the lines of any planetary norm. To give you some perspective, a 750ml bottle of Hendrick’s gin can be purchased for $ 26.99 and they’re charging $ 20 for a single serving. Clearly they’re aiming beyond the upper echelons of the assholes who’ve come before them. They have other cocktails with all kinds of complex ingredients on their list that involve top shelf gin along with egg whites and all manner of other notable liquors, but those cocktails are less expensive than ordering gin alone.(You explain that one because I sure can’t.) You should certainly not hold them to justifying their prices with speed of delivery, either. Expect nothing extra, impressive or even standard. you will pay twice for your ordinary drink and get meandering service that’s faster in a dive where you’ll have much more interesting music, décor and people around you. For comparison’s sake, if you go to Fig 19 just a couple blocks away you can get the exact same drink for precisely half the price and it’s delivered in seconds. I was there just last night and the drink was stronger, delivered faster, and done in a setting that actually reflects the culture of the city(the culture that Crosby Bar actively kills with their ridiculously out-of-place vortex of bad taste). At the Crosby it took a solid 5 minutes to get my drink tonight and there was barely a soul in the place. Five whole minutes plus for a gin and tonic. What is the other $ 10 going toward? Even if the price was exactly the same as Fig 19 you’d have to search for an excuse for that and you’d get basically the same review from me. In the places with any expertise(take PDT, Pegu just to name a couple) there’s a sense of pride in what they do. They charge high(yet still cheaper) prices because they know they’re delivering the best you can get anywhere. You get hand-squeezed juice, top shelf ingredients(right down to even the tiny drop of bitters you may have in a cocktail), and PROMPT, friendly service. If you can’t do what I ask you to right, and you charge twice for exactly the same quality of drink you can get in your average college bar, you can take your smiles and politesse and shove them right up your ass. Let’s not forget to mention that the server tried to clear our drinks before we were even finished with them. It would be a minor detail anywhere else, but when your patrons are paying twice the standard price of even the most expensive city in the nation you’d better leave the fucking drinks on the table until they’re out the door and down the block. I would have preferred a crackhouse to you opening this numbingly boring, overpriced shithole downtown. But!!! This place might be perfect for you under certain circumstances. If you’re one of these people who thinks that a higher price alone means that there must therefore be something better about what you purchase, this is the place for you. If you came to New York and don’t want to have an experience that reflects anything about where you are, stay here and you’ll be uncontaminated by anything having to do with your locale. You have found the cultural vacuum your heart desires in the Crosby. If this is you I should add that you and the Crosby can go straight to hell. And have fun on that nine mile walk to the restroom in the basement through a maze of hallways and doors. Expert planning there, guys.

4 stars even though any other day i may give it a 3.5. Open space with beautiful courtyard. Nice people. No chip on the shoulder. They leave you alone(in fact maybe a bit inattentive) to just chill. Visited with a friend today. Had a good time. Loved the server with«afro.» More of an ambiance, and relax/chat type of place than a stop to have real good food.

I love this place… yes I may be a bit bias because I’m British but how can you not love the décor here . Let me ask a question .do you spend 5 bucks at star bucks for a cup of tea in a cardboard cup and no seating and a dirty bathroom with a long line or 5 bucks on a pot of tea served in china with real loose teas and beautiful restrooms. No brainer !! In fact lets order a slice of cake at the cake bar together with a large pot of tea(serves 2 easily) for 10 usd, all served in chic boutique surroundings and brought to your large comfy seat . For another 2.5 usd you can have any specialty tea you want on the menu I come here whenever I am in Soho and want to escape the crowds, take a break have a drink and relax for an hour . High tea is amazing for that special occasion, go on take your mum she will love you forever . English breakfast here is amazing, its definitely not cheap but quality comes at a price . I would also suggest trying the Sunday night film club, they do an appetizer, cocktail and film for 25 usd. Did I mention the orange leather seats . All in all whether you want alcohol, tea, brunch or macaroons, this is your place ! Tip; make sure you have a little wander round, don’t miss the cinema, drawing room and garden.
