This is a very cozy, friendly Irish pub. Their staff mixes a good drink. I can’t speak to the food, since I didn’t eat anything, but the atmosphere is great — not so cleaned-up you feel like you can’t relax, but not so grubby or dirty that you’re concerned about picking up an STD from sitting on a barstool.

Christmas decorations are amazing. The upside down tree is awesome. Cute spot, good for a quick drink after work.

Love it here! You walk in and it is really a nice place, and whoever did the Christmas decorations is talented. I have now come here 2 Monday’s and I can say that the food is fantastic. The bartender Adrienne is a sweetheart and so friendly it just makes me want to visit every week! Which is exactly why I came back today! I recommend this place for food and just to enjoy a night at the bar! See ya next Monday! Ok I have to add to this since I am here on a Thursday, the bartender Rosh is also a sweetie and friendly! Props to the bartenders!

This is my favorite happy hour spot. I work a block away– the holiday decorations are on point. Happy hour specials are legit but the crowd is even better. The servers are amazing. Marie is my fave!

I love coming to junction! I work up the block and come here often for lunch or happy hour. Great happy hour, good beer, good food. Always a decent sized crowd but marie(waitress always on when I’m there) is wonderful and always on her A game!

I come here all the time with my coworkers for happy hour. Marie is the best server, she remembers everyone and their ‘usual’ drink. Drinks are good and very inexpensive, especially for Midtown. I recommend this place to everyone. Come for Halloween — they go all out! Also the jalapeño poppers are to die for

I went on football Sunday about a month ago and the waitress was amazing. She made sure that all the different fans got a good view of their favorite different teams, very attentive and alway checking up without being annoying and making us feel uncomfortable that we were there for 4 hours and pacing ourselves. The food was great. I ordered a grilled cheese, but got a panini(stuffed with cheese, tomatoes, bell peppers and bacon) by mistake(also delicious). The wings were amazing as well. Good prices for Manhattan. It was $ 45(including tip and tax) for a coffee, the best tequila sunrise, 2 Guinness beers, a plate of hot wings(big portion), a burger with fries, and a panini with fries.

I’d rather not give this place a star at all. It really felt as if the bartender actually wanted us to leave. Was this prejudice, or just very poor service? We were walking down Lexington Ave on our way to have dinner. We had some time to kill and decided to grab a drink. It was Saturday evening at about 4:30pm and The Junction had all open tables and several seats open at the bar. Tables seemed to be for those ordering food, so we sat at the bar. We ordered two Junction Ales and were asked for our IDs(unexpected, and actually a bit flattering at our age). We got out our IDs and then were completely ignored. The bartender went right to the other end of the bar and started taking orders from other guests. She never came back to look at our IDs and never poured our beers. When another woman came out of the kitchen with food for the guys sitting next to us we thought she might take over, but she just went to the end of the bar(right in front of us) and began looking at her phone. The bartender then took a phone call and walked out of sight. My wife and I waited a few minutes(yes, we actually counted three minutes) for the bartender to return but she didn’t, so we left feeling relieved we had not spent our money at The Junction. I would hate to think we were denied service because of bigotry, but it certainly felt that way.

For a place that doesn’t look like much from the outside, the atmosphere and time to be had on the inside just go to show that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. The bright, yellow front intrigued me on many occasions as I passed by, enough to eventually draw me in. As stated by many other Unilocalers, the staff were excellent. I threw back a couple of pints of suds and went about my business, all in all happy that I decided to stop in. I found the following to be a personal bonus: there are a pile of Buffalo Bills things in this bar.

I shouldn’t be a fan, but I am. You never know what kind of people you will meet at junction. A lot of hotel guests from THEPOD hotel find their way here and business men who work near Grand Central. A lot of creepy business men, but still I love it. The bartenders are great and there are always cabs to catch on lex. Noise level is medium, I feel like I could come to this bar dressed in sweats and still be treated with respect. Sports bar for sure, but I’ve never seen anyone actually pay attention to the sports on the screen… ahhaha GREATHOLIDAYDECOR.

Fun happy hour spot. Well drinks are $ 4 for happy hour and a few beers are also half price I think. However they should have top shelf specials like many of the Lower East side bars do. I haven’t tried a lot of their food but I love the mozzarella sticks, they are great.

These days, restaurants/bars deserve an extra star for holding a reservation they promised to hold. The Junction does one better… they officially«don’t take» reservations, but they held a nice table for us in the back. It took a personal visit to make everything smooth… but smooth it was. The service was also nice, with frequent checks on «how’s everybody doing.» The beer list was good, with a lot of variety in bottled beer. On tap was a nice Session beer and I stuck with it all night. Others moved from genuine indy beers to fake craft beers like SHOCKTOP(I think it’s made by Budweiser.) The food was bar food. We didn’t order any main dishes, just nachos, wings, chicken fingers, you get the idea. It wasn’t awful, but also not spectacular. Inside, it was spacious, a bit loud, but converseable. All-in-all a good experience. –Drink Club NYC is a roving group of NYC drinkers, a different bar every week.

Very mediocre bar. Came here for lunch with a friend and we were seated at a table where our legs would collide if we sat right in front of each other, thats how small the table was, and it was a absurdly long rectangle for the minimal amount of width this table had. Onto the food: We were here for taco tuesday and we got both chicken and beef. The beef taco 3⁄5 is just ground beef, and actually alright tasting, and they give a little lettuce, tomato and a white dressing thats not really ranch(slightly thicker) but I couldn’t really tell what it was as it was not cheese either. Anyway the chicken was bleh 2/5, just don’t get it. And we had jalepeno poppers app and it was actually decent tasting 3.5÷5. They use cheddar. Service here was really bad, no attention at all to our table except to come over to take the order. No water refills or checkups of any kinds. We had to rush the check because we had to get back to work.

This is a very solid sports bar in Midtown East/Murray Hill neighborhood. My boyfriend lives in the apartment building above this bar, and when I found out he was moving here I was SO pumped when he told me he had a bar in his«basement.» Scenes of How I Met Your Mother floated into my head. However, I know in this city a bar is not hard to come by, so I was reluctant to get excited too quickly. Turns out, though, that the Junction is pretty damn legit and definitely has the neighborhood sports bar type atmosphere that I was hoping for. Being so close to Midtown/Times Square/Penn Station, it’s nice to get to this area and regain that neighborhood feeling. The bar is pretty minimal but still a good size and there are just the basics for beer and food options, but everything is solid. They actually have a house brew, Junction Ale, which is just ok… but it’s definitely a step up from getting a pitcher of Bud Light. There are some bottle options that are appealing to me. And of course, any of the bartenders can make a solid cocktail. They have a ton of TVs and a little«back» area that I could see being ideal if you have a large group and want to have your own space. Not sure if they reserve that area, but I’d be surprised if they didn’t. Sports are always on, but don’t be surprised to not find any«local» sports fans. Thought I guess that is kind of the MO for the entire city. Just always disappointed when I wear my NY Giants jersey around this city and I am the one being heckled. But, I guess that is a review of the city in general, and therefore irrelevant to this one. Cheers, Junction-I am happy you are the How I Met Your Mother Bar of my guy’s apartment building.

I ended up here because we needed to finds a place to watch the game near Grand Central and the Junction is a sports bar… sort of. First, they would not let us turn on the volume for the game. How can you be a sports bar and try to get customers in to watch games if you aren’t going to give them volume. Bad call. We ordered some overpriced food that was not bad per se, but wasn’t great either. They only have 3 flavors of wings and they cost 10 bucks for 9. I got hot which wasn’t spicy at all, and my friend got the old bay rubbed flavor. The Old Bay rub totally dried out the chicken making it not very good at all. I ordered their signature beer and wasn’t impressed or disappointed . Overall, the Junction is solidly average for a Midtown bar, but underperforming as a sports bar.

Nothing special. OK spot to sneak out of work to in the middle of the day to catch a game, a bite to eat, and maybe even a beer. They actually did have some interesting beers. Burger was OK. Not great. $ 11 with fries, but no cheese. You decide if that is a good value for an average-sized average burger. Place was exactly what you would imagine, as was the service. ;)
