We came there for dinner. We sat on the corner spot of the second floor. I had Korean Miso(Doe jang JJi gea). This Miso soup comes in the boiling hot clay pot. It is prepared with squash, onion, seafood. The Korean miso is richer than Japanese. They My friend introduce this restaurant as her favorite one. It is located in the busy street of K town brought many side dishes like Gimchi and vegetable dishes. Then, they offered a steamed egg soup served in a hot pot. This was excellent. My friend had seafood pancakes which was so large enough to share. That was Ok. This restaurant was very generous considering its location. The service was prompt and professional. My friend talked to the owner who was very kind.

Kunjip SUCKED service tonight. Waited 20 minutes to be noticed by the receptionist who kept greeting everybody even the people outside than me. Obviously you can’t miss me but deliberately did not even ask me how many people… Food was great but we were even forced to pay right away. We stayed there Atleast 1 hour and 45 minutes and no one is even on line outside. They were rushing us to leave. Since I’m not still gave them 20% tip and they sure did not Deserve it! B b

We came here as an alternative when Kang Ho Dong down the street was a long wait. The staff here seated us immediately and the service was very good given how busy they were. Our server was running all over the place managing at least 5 – 6 tables on her own but we never waited more than 60 seconds for anything we asked for. The seafood stew was great and chock full of seafood flavor. Well balanced and tasty, everyone was happy with that. The spicy rice cakes were also well received. As for bbq selections, we ordered kalbi, chicken and pork belly. The chicken was a bit bland and dry and the pork belly was just so so. The kalbi was fantastic as to be expected. On a side note my brother in law got food poisoning but he was the only one so maybe just a bad bite? Prices are about what you expect in K-Town. Food was good but not great. A decent choice if you’re in the area but there’s a lot to choose from.

This place has good ambience, and it’s great for large groups since they have two floors. Their orders come out quickly and they have purple rice! Four stars for good setting and quick orders, but their food is just okay.

Good late night spot to visit after the club. We ordered a bunch of items to share, but nothing really stood out to me. My friends also ordered in Korean so that also did not help. The only thing I really remembered was that the tofu soup was a little bland, and it’s so hard to mess up on that. But then again, everything tastes better after drinking!

Came here with my girlfriend the other night because we were craving Korean food. Pros: Service is fast, we got seated as soon as we walked in(granted we didn’t do BBQ, just regular dining). Pricing is alright, not expensive but not cheap. Cons: Food quality was okay. The spicy pork do boki was dry and came with a lot of rice and not a lot of meat. I would absolutely stay away from the peach soju here, it tastes like Robitussin, unless you like that… The shu mai we ordered did not taste good. We didn’t have a terrible time, just wished the our dishes didn’t taste so dry and had more meat in it. Don’t think this place will be my top choice next time I’m in K-town but I’ll keep my eyes open and may come back to try some other dishes again.

This is a great place for Korean food. I’m surprised by the negative reviews. I think it’s because a lot of tourists come in and order the wrong things. My advice: get the bo-ssam or jokbal. Great ways to try Korean ways of cooking pork. They also have BBQ. Also please please order one of the stews. Just something as simple as soy bean stew or kimchi jjigae will be worth it. They have a giant menu but DONOT order any of the Chines dishes. No shumai or anything like that. You have to stick with the authentic Korean food. If you really wanna try something new: raw crab in soy sauce. Koreas best creation. Put some white rice in the body of the crab. Mix the sauce in and scrape out the crab eggs in the body. It is unreal. So good. There’s so much to try! Take full advantage of this place But yes, most nights there will be a wait.

Came here w a friend because he recommended it for drinks and appetizer. But it’s more of a Korean restaurant vs a Korean bar. They just have your typical soju, beer and makgoli. We got the following: 1) Do Ga Ni Mu Chim 5⁄5: This is a Korean dish which is like boiled Ox Knee Bone w Meat with spicy salad on the side. Surprisingly the meat was very soft and the accompanying salad was really good. It was a very good appetizer with the soju we had. 2) Al Tang 4⁄5: aka Fish Roe Soup. The soup was good and there was plenty of fish roe(fish egg) and clams. I wish it was a tad bit spicier but it definitely hit the spot and went really well with the soju. The wait was ridiculous but my friend said everywhere in ktown is min 30min-1hr wait for dinner on a Friday night. The place was crowded and the service slightly on the slow side but overall it was a good place to grab a couple drinks and have delicious Korean food.

Good food, fast serving but don’t come here if you want a leisurely meal– they will hustle you out! Make sure to check in, Unilocalers! You will get a free appetizer of the boiled beef slices with veggies, drizzled with dressing(I’m not sure what the name is, will edit once I find out) Wait for a table of 4 around 7pm on a weekday was about 20~30 minutes– the servers will ask if you would like to order ahead so that the food would be ready once you’re seated. We ordered two bowls of nengmyun(cold chewy buckwheat noodles in chilled broth), seafood soondoobu(spicy tofu soup), oxtail bone soup, and a seafood pajun. Food was all delicious, but nothing special. $ 77 including tip for all that food, not bad. My one gripe was that they gave us the bill while we were still eating– I understand they need to hustle tables but service is important too.

It’s disappointing to read these reviews here! But let me tell you something new. You look for a decent place for a decent Korean food that you’ve been craving for, and you get it HERE at the Kun Jip(Definition: «the house of eldest son,» Direct translation: «big house») In case you were wondering the reason why Koreans would call the house of the eldest son of a family the«big house,» it is because that’s just how it is :) And NO, we do not call the house for the youngest son the small house, because that’s just messed up. The food is pretty high quality compared to average tip and the population they are serving, majority of teens and young adults. You can calculate the average tip yourself, refer to menu for average price. In Korea, there’s no concept of tip. Therefore, no tip-expected service. And as you all already know, the average age of the servers here are guaranteed, more than you(or even you and your significant other combined). It’s just the way it’s supposed to be in our culture, so don’t be sad when they kick you out. It means all means(of eating and serving) are done. Looks like they are just juggling the intakes, and it really looks like they are very, familiar with the concept. Their customers, tips, amount of tables are just being balanced by having you order ahead, serve your faster, and have you leave after your meal. I guess these are just the results of maintaining business in Manhattan. Love them like your aunt and uncles. We’d make happier K-Town.

«The Big House» was always a favorite of mine, back when it was on the other side of the street(now 5 Senses). Unfortunately, times have changed for the worse. Sure the space was larger and cleaner but the waitress was ornery. She looked at me as if I was the one who kicked her in the shins, right before placing my order. What did I do wrong? Should I go to another restaurant? Geez. Yukgaejang was bland and ordinary. Spicy? Yeah right. Galbi jjim was tender yet super sweet. The fried mandoo dumplings were tasty. The complimentary steamed egg was(sadly) the best thing I ate. After the food delivery, service on Monday night suffered drastically. I asked for the check and waited. And waited. I waved my hands in the air. Then waved them like I just didn’t care. I stood up and started heading out and finally got one waitress’ attention. I paid and left. They really deserved zero tip. A «Just the Tip» joke was not appropriate here. The Kunjip failed to deliver quality Korean cuisine. I am not coming back even if my friends beg and pay for me. If I ever win the powerball lottery, I will buy this restaurant and shut it down.

This is my favorite korean food spot in ktown. I love how they serve very traditional korean dishes and despite the reviews that say they have bad service, I would say otherwise. They’re slightly aggressive in how they would have you wait in line and look at the menu while you’re waiting, but a lot of people come to eat so that would be their fastest way to serve. However, their food is delicious and so is their banchan(side dishes). They’re super authentic compared to my experience in Seoul(but definitely not the same and not as good) but I think this is probably the best you can get in NYC and not at someone’s home. My personal favorite is the galbi tang(short rib soup) that is full of umani and hearty. Their bone marrow soup also deserves a honorable mention. If you’re ever in the area, you should give this restaurant a chance. I definitely recommend this place.

I told my Korean buddy of mine that I wanted to experience real authentic Korean food. 30 min later we ended up here. The line for this place is ridiculous as it went up a staircase and out the restaurant door. The wait took about 45 minutes. The food ordered… I have no idea because I was at the mercy of my friend choosing since he was the expert. All I can say is the experience was good and the food tasted amazing. The only down side, and everyone points it out here, is that the service is not that great. Since it is busy, they are trying to get the highest turnover rate possible. You literally have to yell at them to get their attention. Trying to speak to a busboy(the ones dressed in black) is useless because they only bus tables and do not seem to be allowed to do anything else. This place also seems terrible at committing to reservations as one party was essentially screaming at the hostess about it and ruining her plans. That’s all I got for ya. Digest it, decide wisely. FYI: They only take two credit cards if you’re trying to split your bill.

This place offers authentic Korean food, and seems to be operated by Korean. They have BBQ section upstairs and non BBQ section on the ground floor, which is good because I don’t have to worry my clothes will smell like BBQ even if I don’t eat one. First, the side dishes are promptly served. They are alright. We were given a free Sukuk which is sliced beef with vegetable in tangy sauce because I checked in Unilocal.Yay! The beef is a bit chewy but the overall dish is pretty tasty. For main entrée, I had Sukuh Chigae, a spicy soup bowl with mixed seafood and vegetables, served with ancient rice. The soup is delicious. I like the clams and the squid but it’s impossible to eat the shelled prawns and the crab with chopsticks or spoon. They probably put those in just to make the soup tastes richer. There is a slice of fish too but the fish bones make eating a bit trickier. I almost got a piece stuck in my throat, so be careful of the bones. My other problem with this dish is it is served with burning fire at the bottom, so the soup stays consistently too hot I almost burn my tongue. I had to ask them to put the fire out. When we were done, we were given a cup of sweet cinnamon tea, which is very delicious and refreshing. Very nice touch! I came in a party of two and we were seated in a table for four but with a separator in the middle of the table. This makes us to be too close with strangers at the same table, it’s almost weird. Especially because the couple beside us are obviously on a first date. The service is just alright. The shop lady ran after us to complain about the tips given, but then realized we gave 15% tips and she said that’s actually enough. Is that not an acceptable amount in Manhattan Koreatown?

(Somehow, my review at their previous location didn’t port over — so — I’m doing that now. This is from November 2014. Same operation). Ok. I’m non-Korean. Let’s start there, because if I were Korean then I’d have a much deeper understanding of the dishes — as well as experience with qualities. Just walked the wife to her NYC Marathon pick-up bus on 51st and bee-lined it to here — Kunjip. I’ve walked by this restaurant a ½ dozen times over the past few years but never had the chance to sit down and experience its 24⁄7 nature. For today’s breakfast(it’s 6:50AM right now) I ordered Gobdol Bibimbob. A flavor/texture parade swiftly ensued(see exhibits A-C). Unlike expected, the egg arrived along with the kimchee — perfectly soufléed in its own micro-hotpot. The hotpot itself arrived with a perfect mix of ground beef, rice and vegetables. I won’t wax gastronomic — just let me say that this is a refreshing breakfast fare — and the barley tea tied it all together.

The service is LOUSY. I had a waiter spill water in me. This has never happened to me at any restaurant, ever. It’s hard to get the waiters attention. During peak times they kind everyone up against the stairway. I ordered something extra after ordering and they never put in my order. If you can put the LOUSY service aside, the food is good. If you’re Korean, they’re sit you first. This is plain discrimination. Your wait longer unless you’re vocal. I was wary of the bad reviews and now understand why. Frankly I’m not sure why people like this place. The POOR service and blatant discrimination would warrant a 1star, but the food was decent so I’m giving it a 2star.

Always craving Korean food while in NYC, I have been to Kunjip a few times and it is always good, but not always great. First off, the service typically eyes you out if you are not Korean. I was standing in line for like 5 minutes one time, a couple walks in and waits, the hostess ignores us and goes to them after having seen us a few times. The couple had to point out that we were first, so she felt bad and sat us down. Prices are average and typically reasonable if you know what you want. I have been with different people and we always order different things. They play classical music or weird show tunes in the background. They offer seating downstairs, but upstairs overlooking K-Town is definitely the way to go. Dukkbokki is my all time favorite Korean dish, so this is spot on here. I love the spices, rice cake cooked nicely(not too firm), add noodles, and spicy fish cakes all is good. The bibimbap here is decently average. Jap Che is alright, could use a bit more flavor. All of the soups looked and sound flavorful. I do love the Man Doo Gui here! Dipped in sauces or I even mix it into the Dukkbokki sauce. Kunjip offers a fair amount of Banchan for you to try while enjoying your meals. I order my soju or Hite when I come and have a nice time. For a 24⁄7 craving of Korean Food, Kunjip is an option.

New location, same great food and smiles. I used to come here for lunch many times at the old location for soondae gook, the only restaurant in Ktown I know of that served this dish. Ever since the restaurant moved down the block, I had yet to go back until this past week. I came for dinner at 7pm when the wait was less than 5 minutes and we were seated in the second seat from the front door, quite chilly even with the secondary entrance that blocks the cold air, so I left my jacket on. First tip: CHECK-IN! You will get a free goodie, Suyuk — a salad and cold beef mix. Second tip: Unsure of what to order? Soondae good is a great choice! Blood sausage soup with tendons in rich mildly spicy broth. Sounds disgusting, but absolutely delicious! The service was 5/5, servers were very attentive to requests for napkins and the check, and smiled sincerely. By the time we left, the line expanded up the stairs to the second floor. Come early to avoid the wait and remember to check-in for the goodie!

I came here for dinner on Saturday night and the line stretched down the stairs, through the door. Luckily the line moved quickly and the wait for 2 only ended up being 20 minutes(I later found out why). Our server brought out banchan/small dishes and water right when we were seated. We ordered the BBQ Combo 2(for 2), Rabboki(rice cakes and ramen), Suyuk(beef and veggies), and watermelon flavored soju. The Suyuk is free when you check in on Unilocal. The food came out very quickly and all of the meat in the BBQ Combo tasted delicious. We received a satisfactory amount of food for 2 people. I am not an expert when it comes to KBBQ, so I thought the meat here was comparable to other KBBQ spots in the area(i.e. miss KOREA). However, I don’t think I will be ordering the Rabboki again. It was too heavy and the ramen noodles were quite soggy. I much prefer the rice cakes on their own in ddukboki. Before we were finished with the food on our plates, a group of 6 people were seated next to us(there were 8 total seats at the long table). They audibly told the server that there wasn’t enough room because there were 2 more people coming in a bit. The server told them it’ll be fine/there will be seats by then. The next few minutes felt extremely awkward because it became clear that the people at The Kunjip expected us to finish our dinner quickly so they could make room for new customers. Needless to say, we got our check and got out of there to avoid any additional awkward moments. Even though the food here is comparable to that of other KBBQ places, I will not be coming back. I would rather wait an extra 10 – 15 minutes to get seated at another good KBBQ in the area to avoid feeling rushed to leave.

I used to frequent the original location ALLTHETIME during my college days and have some fond memories of their delicious food. As time went by, kunjip became more and more popular which led to long lines and long wait times. However, the food always had me coming back — it was that delicious! Fast forward a couple of years and now kunjip has moved to a new location. The new space is much larger than the original and has several floors. There is this one guy who I used to always see at the original location and guess what? He was here! It was nice to see an old face(although he has no idea who I am so I definitely seem like a major creep). After getting a table, there was a speedy process of setting out all the banchan and our food arriving even before I could grab a piece of my favorite radish kimchi. A few minutes after we got our food, they removed the divider that separated us from another party. No biggie. I continued to eat. But then the familiar face from earlier came over and said«excuse me» and I knew he wanted us to scarf down all the food, pay and get out of there. It’s kind of impossible to scarf down hot stew without internal injury so I just glared at him and he disappeared for a while. In his place, the check suddenly arrived at our table and at this point I had no desire to keep eating. Basically to sum things up, the wonderful memories I had of kunjip have been crushed. It’s not like they had better service at the original location. However, their persistence to get customers out within 20 minutes has reached new heights! I don’t think I will return — this goodbye is bitter but probably for the best.

I usually come here for their KBBQ for 2 for $ 63, but I feel like it is so expensive! I know KBBQ is expensive, but I really feel like if you come to Ktown there has to be something better. It has been hard finding the perfect place and I still have yet to find it. I came here today and I tried their spicy rice cake with ramen and I could barely finish it. It was so spicy that I had to take majority of it home. Overall, its not a bad place to eat. Its just very expensive!

I get the fact that it’s Friday night, dinner time and we have party of seven. The wait alone was about 30 – 40 minutes, but whatever… we’re not in a hurry so it’s al good. We were seated on second floor and as we were waiting we were forced to order ahead of time to save time on their end, which was not a big deal. We were ordering a bunch of stuff, knowing that the portions were big. The old lady who helped us, kept saying not enough… until to the point we felt somewhat forced to order. We sat down, and sure enough our table were covered with plethora of food to the point we ran out of room. The food was average and service since it was so damn busy, it’s hard to give an accurate perspective. I can tell you that the next time you go to this place don’t feel pressured to over order. Also, try to avoid dinner rush any day of the week. It gets crazy… and to be candid, the food was just okay. I’ve had better korean food and all around experience…

My go-to for Korean food. The new location is much more clean and comfortable than their old space. But the food is still on point and quite delicious. The food comes out fast and you can always ask for more banchan. You can check-in on Unilocal and get a free dish. The only drawbacks are that there is usually a line, but it moves fairly quick and the service is lacking. They used to chase after you to demand a 15% tip which is quite distasteful because tip is optional and according to your service. But because of the food, they get four stars.

I’ve been to Kunjip many times over the years since my college days. 2 weeks ago may very well be the last time. It’s the first time I’ve been to the newer, bigger location. With the hours, it’s a staple in the neighborhood for drunks to go «hae-jang»(hangover remedy) after a pretttyyyy crooked evening in K-town. We ordered some pork and al jigae(fish egg spicy broth soup), along with soju(yes. more. drinks.). The service is whack in most Korean places, so I’m not going to say that this place was any better than the average. In general, Korean waiters rush you to leave, are unapologetic, stressed & stressful, and may ignore you. This place was par with that standard bs. The banchans(side dishes) were subpar in quality and most certainly lacked flavor. I’m double guessing the power of msg. The move in location to a bigger spot didn’t improve anything. Nuff said.

Serious? Had the rabokki– which was ramen dduck bbokki. And sullungtang. The rabokki tasted like burnt chili sauce. The rice cake was tasteless and mushy– sauce was horrible. Sullungtang had literally less than 15 pieces of thin beef chunks– all soup. Won’t be surprised if its from a packaged soup. This place use to be okay when it was in its original location, but i think the quality went down with expanding. NOT to mention also they almost force you to leave almost in the end if your meal! You’re not done eating but they give you the dessert tea and the check. Um. Okay why don’t you just say«you have five minutes to finish your food thank you.» ?? Yeah. Unless majority of my friends want to go here i’ll rather not.

I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed Kunjip yet. It’s been around for years, though the former location shut and this newer one opened. It’s like the Denny’s of Korean food, quick, fast, open 24 hours. The food is not bad, and the staff tries to provide the best service. However, the whole place is rather hectic so that it’s difficult to truly enjoy the food. My friends and I had to wait by the staircase for our table. The moment we arrived, we’re asked to look at the menu and order while we’re waiting. Despite our reservation, we still had to wait about 30 minutes; so in that case, I guess ordering while waiting was time efficient. Nonetheless, they came to us only 10 minutes after handing us the menu – we felt as if we were under a lot pressure. During our meal, we ordered some drinks. We kept asking about it every couple of minutes, and were told that it was coming from the storage room. However, when we had almost finished our meal and asked once again, it turned out they had completely forgotten about our order. Overall, its food is not amazing but not bad. But even so, as abovementioned, it was difficult to truly enjoy our food with the chaos surrounding us.

Not a big fan of their system when waiting for a table. You wait in line on the stairway against the wall(hazard much?) you need to make sure you’re literally hugging the wall then really close to the person in front so they can fit more people in line. They take your order while in your line too, talk about pressure! Service: they really want to get you in and out here, I get it you have a line of people waiting on the stairs, but let me enjoy my food! Food: nothing really special as there are better places on ktown to eat All in all I don’t think I’d be back soon as mentioned there’s other places to eat in ktown that are much better and more patient.

We always come here for company lunch, they know us so well that they serve extra side dishes each time. My boss particularly love their hotpot dishes, so far I tried all of their rice cake dishes, a few days ago I ordered a non-spicy clam soup with veggies, it’s by far my favorite in Ktown, I think that’s what I will have whenever I don’t want anything spicy. The soup was so clear but so hot and tasty, you could smell the freshness of the clams, they serve this on top of a candle thing on fire, so it was boiling at my face the entire time, and it was 40 degrees out, I loved it. I had this soup paired with their red bean rice, I don’t usually eat much rice anymore but I had half a bowl because it’s cooked so well that it’s so soft warm. Their kimchi is also very good.

New location. The space right outside of the bathroom smells funny. But the bathroom itself is spaceous and clean. The tables were not thoroughly wiped. I still see some drops of rice and vegies from what the people ate before us. One great service they provided was the restocking of appetizers. They restock their appetizer even before we were done which I thought was quite awesome. We order the seafood pancakes and fried rice cake. Bulgogi bibimbap and the spicy ox bone soup. The fried rice cakes were gooey and sweet and super delicious.

You get seated really quickly, and the waiters seem to be very efficient at getting people in and out. Our entire table got the same bimbimbap+ soondoboo order, since it seemed like the best deal. The portions were great – really loved the small pickles you get too, although I prefer ones offered at BCD tofu house more. The soondoboo is a side dish when you order the combo, so it really seemed lacking after not having an egg to pop in. Bimbimbap was tasty, but nothing that blew me out of the water. We also ordered the seafood pancake, and when the waitress said that they could make it without shrimp as one of my friends was allergic, still came out with shrimp anyway… on top of that, they didn’t live up to the hype and I thought the entire pastry was pretty bland and the sauce didn’t even help that much. Overall – fast service, lots of food, leave feeling really full. Taste leaves something to be desired.

So based on the little that I remember of the night, I think Kunjip was pretty good. Plus, 2 of my friends kept asking for the name of this place since they liked it so much. 2 other friends(korean) said this was their favorite after drinking eating spot. Service was pretty quick and we didn’t feel rushed. Shortest review ever! Guess I killed more brain cells than I thought Saturday night.

We got out of work late, very hungry(no lunch you see) and it was unanimous, we all wanted Korean food! We headed to Korean Town and while we hurried, the two options we chose closed on us. Since Kunjip was only a few doors away and it happened to be opened 24/7, it gave us no other option but to make it work! We were skeptical what to expect(considering our experiences with 24⁄7 joints), but once our food came to our table(maybe because we were all«freakin» hungry), we were all pleasantly surprise that our short rib Korean BBQ… that was cooked at our table by our very nice waitress, was surprisingly, well marinated and meat was very tender. Just to let you know, it was also the highlight of our dinner being the best on the menu! Hahaha… «fml» In addition, we were also provided the«A» typical Korean sides(it was meh if you asked me), family style. My coworker felt our waitress should’ve filled our side dishes at least the 2nd time, but who’s complaining as it was well pass 1am. My seafood noodles were okay. The Rabokki was okay too. Both could use more flavor though. All in all, service was actually really good. The nice lady split our bills, and while she did not come as often like refill our side dishes, she did cook our BBQ at our table, and managed to refill our water(with lemon mind you) twice. I also have to give her credit for running around like a «Mad Woman» by herself because by the time 1:30 am came, she started getting super busy! We have to give her credit that she was still smiling! I hope she got her break afterwards! Until then, Cheers! ~ :p

I am a fan of the food, NOT the service. I understand it can get quite busy and hectic here, especially since there is almost always a line waiting outside. However, the way they treat customers is completely unacceptable and good customer service is very important in my book. I brought some friends from Boston here(four young ladies and a friend’s mother who is very petite in size) for lunch because I like their food and I did warn them that service will be pretty bad. When we ordered what we thought would be enough for all of us(five pretty hearty dishes) the server gave us a disbelieving look and kept repeating«so you’re 6 people and I only have 5 dishes here» and we had to keep ensuring her that it would be enough for us and we might not even finish all of that because the stuff we ordered was pretty meaty and heavy. She reluctantly took the order and walked away with an attitude and while walking away, I noticed her gather a couple of the servers and whispered with each other while making constant glances our way. That made us feel pretty uncomfortable. We ordered four orders of budae jigae and a bulgogi rice dish. They were pretty good, the budae jigae was a tad too salty. All these orders were served with purple rice. When we were nearly done eating, but not yet, the server obviously wanted to rush us out of there, they started putting out the post-meal tea that they provide and started taking away our pots even when we were not done yet, which I find very rude. While we were settling the bill, our server just came over and rushed to clean up the table and started wiping the table even with plates and cups still on it and knocked over either a cup or a bowl which fell on the floor under my feet and shattered and the glass had hit my leg. They kept apologizing, but it did not seem like they cared, I really do not hope that they were insincere because this type of thing happens frequently at their restaurant. I understand trying to turn over as many tables as you can so as not to lose any waiting customers, but putting customers in hazardous situations like that is unacceptable.

Huge improvement from their original location. They still make you line up and take your order beforehand to facilitate things, but this time you’re not standing next to the bathroom and suffering from 100 degree weather. They have Rabokki! Now I have a replacement to get this dish since Arang moved to Flushing. It’s more expensive than the bibimbap, but the dish was huge. I barely made a dent in it. This is a dish for two or more people. The rice cakes were soft and much better than the ones I had at BCD Tofu House. In addition to the ramen and rice cakes, there was a significant amount of fishcake and a hard boiled egg. This dish is on the spicy end, but it came with delicious steamed egg to clean the spiciness from your palate. I tried my friend’s Gobdol Bibimbap and it was much better than when I had it at their old location. The last time I had it, it was really bitter for some reason. The combo also came with a small bowl of soondubu. I didn’t try it, but apparently the spicy squid bibimbap(O-Jing-Uh Gobdol Bibimbob) is really good, much better than the beef version according to someone in our group.
