Co working at the productive is so easy and comfortable. The space is clean and bright and the co workers here are never overwhelming, loud, or packed in like sardines. The desk space is fairly large and wheelie seats nice and comfortable, I’ve logged the occasional all nighter here with no issues.
With real estate the answer is normally location, location, location — this place has it. Close to the N, Q, R, W, F, B, D, M and with a little walk to the 1,9,A, C, E and grand central just a bit further you really can’t be beat. The monthly prices for folks that bring laptops can’t be beat and I have a computer use membership. Really worthwhile having a tour and checking this place out!

Its a sick place to meet other animators and writers. Also, the life drawing classes every thursday are awesome. its quiet and not so crowded so you can actually focus on your drawings. Susan is super cool too. OH! And they have the BEST cookies in NYC at Pret a Manger down the block… so good.

Simply living in New York City is expensive. So, what happens when you find a workspace you absolutely LOVE, is close to the trains, has amazing brick walls, complimentary coffee AND printing? You expect it to be 1,000 $+ a month. I pay about 10% of that and am so thankful The Productive exists! Thank you to the staff and everyone who runs it– you make being a start up in NYC possible :)

Great location, great people, and great vibe. Plus there is a totally kick-​ass coffee shop right downstairs (plus free keurig coffee inside the workspace)! I’m more of a cappuccino kind of guy though ;)
The productive was a great place to work that was easy for everyone in our small software company to get to (we’re now a distributed team so not currently members).
Piece of advice: Get a locker and leave as much, or all your equipment at the workspace. There’s no reason to lug your gear back and forth every day. It’s bad for your body. It’s not worth it! I only carried my laptop and even *that* I left at the productive sometimes.
