Évaluation du lieu : 4 East Village, Manhattan, NY
I was with a friend of mine when we stumbled upon this place about 2 ½ years ago. The Whiskey Palace, or WP as the locals call it, is a typical hole-in-the-wall village establishment. While it is relatively easy spot to get into on weekends, it gets crowded easily, and the management can be difficult to deal with. Below are my thoughts. Pros: — Service is odd, but very friendly — Cheap drinks that often get comp’d by the owners — Good location — James in the Club drops in frequently and does live sets — Intimate dance space — Good whiskey selection(Irish, Scotch, Bourbon) — Easy to get into early in the night if PDT has a long wait Cons: — Food is hardly edible. Most dishes have capers and nacho cheese… — Cramped space for groups of more than 20 — Ventilation in the common area is non-existant — Poor beer selection Long story short, this place is pretty good on weekends. You should go for the comradery, not for the food.
