Thomas Drugs is by far one of the best in the pharmacies in NYC. They have great customer service and are always trying their best to help you. It’s not like dealing with one of the big chains like a Duane Reade or Walgreens when they don’t know your name and don’t care. The owner is fantastic and always there to help you. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They care about their customers and that is what it’s all about.

This is the ultimate small town pharmacy in the big city! They know your name, they ask how you are, they really make you feel welcome. The pharmacist/owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would go not where else. You can actually get a prescription filled without waiting for hours and in a pleasant environment and there is a great selection of just about everything, from quirky glasses to basic drugstore items at competitive prices.

Thomas Drugs is truly the savior for my Upper West Side family. Knowledge and helpful pharmacists and staff make for a business that reminds us what community should all be about. It’s a great mix of professional and personal.
This is one of the few times that I have ever felt compelled to write about an NYC business. My motives are selfish as I want them to be in business forever!

One of the workers had a bad cough and kept coughing into his hand. Then he handled my merchandise and credit card with the hand he had just coughed into. Gross, especially in a pharmacy where people come in to get well.

The pharmacist is nice enough. Who needs him to bend over backwards like these reviewers seem to want? :) He is just very alpha. He is also knowledgeable about medications and these days most pharmacist are blind to the realities going on with new medications/brands. I strongly recommend.

I love this little neighborhood pharmacy. Have been going here for years, and always very happy with the service, selection, and prices. The staff has always been pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful for me. My prescriptions are ready in almost no time. It’s such a treat to go here instead of a big impersonal chain. Though they don’t have the huge selection of a mega-store, I always try here first and they usually have the basics that I need. Try it!

Ever wonder the grumpiest people in Manhattan work? Here! They work at this place! I’ll give it 3 stars for being convenient, stocking the basics (Advil, overpriced shampoo, tampons, toothpaste) and because they have a pharmacy that can usually turn around prescriptions quick, but other than if you’re in a bind, head elsewhere. Prices seem overblown and like I mentioned, the people working there aren’t helpful and seem rather miserable. Weird place.
