Had great potential. Then the bartender was offended we didn’t want his sangria. Then a WNBA commercial came on that featured NBA players talking about how great the WNBA game is. The bartender said to the group of men seated at the bar, «that’s a bunch of NBA stars lying.» Never setting foot in this place again because I know misogyny when I see it.

They were able to take a last minute reservation for a group of 6 on a Sunday afternoon which was great. The complimentary focaccia came out still cold but once we alerted the waitress she quickly remedied the situation with another hot loaf of bread. The food menu for the $ 8 unlimited mimosa special was pretty limited. I got the frittata with shrimp and asparagus and it was delicious. The rosemary potatoes were the best part. My friends got the French toast and baked eggs. Definitely recommend the French toast if you like super sweet stuff. The waitress was pretty good about coming by to refill our mimosas but we didn’t get a heads up about the 2 hour limit. She just showed up about 2 hours later and told us it was our last round.

I wandered into this place past midnight, very early on Saturday morning(or late Friday night, however you want to see it). I was surprised to find it wasn’t overly crowded and had a relaxed, low key air about it. There were folks sitting at the bar area and in the lounge area having drinks and chatting. When I walked in, the bartender immediately came out from behind the bar to see if I needed help. I ordered a pizza to go. They were happy to customize my order — basically I wanted the margherita pizza($ 11) with mushrooms(versus getting their pizza with mushrooms, peppers and onions). It was only an extra $ 1 to add my topping(and the pizza maker put a generous handful all over the pizza). They make the pizza right in front of you — pulling out the dough, ladling on the sauce(which, btw, is salty without being too acidic), and adding the toppings. The mozzarella is very fresh as is the basil that’s sprinkled on after the pizza’s been baked. It gets baked right there in their coal oven, and the pizza maker checks the bottom of the crust, making sure not to burn it and to ensure it’s crispy. I’m coming back again!

We thought we could contribute another great review of the restaurant but boy were we disappointed. The food advertised on the menu did not meet expectations. The wait was long and portions were small – it took thirty minutes for the food to come out and I consumed it in less than ten minutes, before I even finished my drink. The quality is sub-par, instead of my baked eggs lying on a bed of tomatoes I got a sprinkle of tomato cubes mixed with peas that looked like they came out of a frozen pack – all for $ 17. It seems the bottomless mimosa is all they have going for them since drinking is all we can do while waiting for our«brunch».

I have never have a bad experience at Three of Cups and I have been going for over 10 years. The food is amazing, everyone is so nice, and I love the décor. They have a great happy hour too, def try the red sangria. My friends and I love the tartufo pizza and the snowball gelato, so good! They can handle large parties if you let them know in advance. I highly recommend this restaurant, one of my favorites in NYC.

I would have given them a great review I was dying to go and when I finally got there and was seated my waitress seemed annoyed to be there. Then I ordered a cup of coffee for myself and my company and noticed we didn’t have enough milk unfortunately my waitress minded me asking for more and waited to watch me finish it before she believed me and brought me more. That drove me crazy but even then I ordered my brunch and waited about 20 mins to ask where our meal was. The waiter told us it would be out in five minutes smiled and walked away. Then out came the meals of everyone else around us who had been seated much after us. When we asked our original waitress how much longer our meal would take she asked us what we ordered and left, then returned to let me know our food was being rushed. I got up and spoke to the manager who had then told me that after 45 mins of me waiting for a meal it was never sent to the kitchen and the waitress had forgot. Yet my waitress had constantly lied to me about my meal… I didn’t get to try a thing I was so mad I left All I wanted to do was have a nice Sunday brunch

Pros: — Cheap bottomless brunch($ 30 for entrée & bottomless including tax and tip) — Able to get a reservation for a large party with late notice — They do have outdoor seating Cons: — The yolks in my poached eggs were entirely cooked through :( — Food overall was okay, nothing special — Bottomless is only mimosas & bloodys — waitstaff wasn’t the friendliest Overall I’ve had better bottomless brunch experiences although a tad more expensive. I’d rather pay $ 35 and have a good meal than $ 30 for a «meh» meal

Was here as a party of 12 for a birthday brunch. Their service was great, but the brunch options were lacking — we got to choose from ~6 options. I ordered the breakfast pie and substituted the cheddar with mozzarella. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t anything to come back for.

Was planning on coming here for a double date on Saturday night. When I called to make a reservation, the woman informed me that they do not take reservations for less than a party of 7. A little disappointed, the fellow couple said let’s try to head towards there that night and hope for the best anyways. When we arrived at Penn Station I called them. Anthony answered and asked where I was exactly. He said he would hold a table for us. Once we arrived we were seated in a booth area which was clean and comfortable. He was really sweet and talked with us for a bit; we really appreciated it! Our waitress didn’t seem the friendliest. She was probably thinking these typical Long Islanders… but we softened her up eventually ;). We had a round of drinks and decided to do a small Margarita pizza and Caesar salad to share for appetizers. They also gave bread on the table and had oil on the table. Yum. This pizza was insane, I loved it so much that I said I would go all the way back to the city just to get it! For my entrée I had the pasta with meatballs(2) and sausage(only 1 link). Sauce was great and meatballs were moist and flavorful, but a little upset only one mini sausage link. Boyfriend had the steak with veggies and a baked potato. The baked potato was gigantic. Friends had the chicken rosmarino and the salmon dish. Both enjoyed it, but said it wasn’t anything too crazy. Bill came out to roughly $ 168 with the tip included. Not too bad for a city night out and we were stuffed. Sat around 9pm and left around 10:30pm. (We were told there was a lounge downstairs. We checked it out after but it was very dim lit and had incense going with couches all around. Didn’t like that scene so we left, but definitely could’ve been convenient to grab a drink and chill!) They also had a check in offer of 20% off that I forgot to use, ugh!!! But if you read this review, remember to check in! But anywayssss, thanks Anthony for holding a table for us, we enjoyed the night. And just a suggestion… GETTHEPIZZAS!!!

I love this place… The Ambiance is fantastic, great date night place as well as a great place to bring large groups and share dishes. My favorite things on the menu are the Pizza ofcourse, its outstanding, as well as the penne alla vodka, the eggplant and ravioli. Drinks are reasonably priced and the wines are very good i love that the whole experience is wonderful because it still feels like«old New York City» The way things used to be, when«mom and pop«Shops were King

In search for a place with gluten-free pizza, a friend and I dropped by to share a pie. Ordering the tartufo, complete with portobello mushroom pesto, asiago cheese, and fresh rosemary– and drizzled with truffle oil– it was delectable. Next time, I’ll order my own!

Came here for brunch last weekend with a huge group for a friend’s birthday. They handled our loud crew very well. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very tolerant of all the chaos that comes with 20+ orders. The mimosa service was on point.(Although the Bloody Mary’s apparently weren’t too great.) The food took a very long time, but that’s understandable with large parties. As for the food– brunch items were all good! The eggs benedict on focaccia was delicious, and they were very friendly about substitutions. Everyone was pretty happy with their food. I was told the breakfast pie was the best, which makes sense since pizza is their bread and butter. I would love to come back here to try the pizzas on their normal dinner menu. Overall would definitely recommend!

I like going here for boozy brunch. Great prices, delish mimosas and always friendly wait staff! I give this 3 stars because the food just isn’t that good :( I had the omelette which was just ok. My friend had the frittata and when the waiter gave it to him he didn’t even know if it was a frittata or omelette they both looked the same. In the end we decided it was the frittata because of the ingredients — but again it was just ok. All in all I like going here for boozy brunch but I think they need to step it up on the food!

My experience with Three Of Cups was more of a waiting for the downstairs lounge to open up to have some birthday fun with a friend but since we were all there for an hour or so I am compelled to add a quick Unilocal to my standings. The space is cozy to say the least and we all gathered in the front to use the big table and long rounded couch for better conversation. It was Happy Hour and beers were $ 4 apiece and that is never bad. The fare here is Italian and I glanced over the menu and was pretty set on getting something to eat if we had time. We didn’t as the lounge opened and downstairs we went. Our bartender was very cordial and kept our beers coming as soon as we needed them. After some time we did order from up here and got two of their delicious pizzas. One was a standard cheese pie and it came with chopped up basil on the side which I made use of and it really added to the flavor. The second pie had red onions, basil and I believe prosciutto and this one was heavenly even though onions of any kind have been known to upset my stomach of late. I was catching a WiFi signal with ease up here so I guess there is an open feed for customers to use and I like that. For a first time experience, even though it was a short one, I will definitely plan on coming back here for some proper dinner with the right companion for such an adventure. Stay tuned.

To me Three of Cups could very easily find itself at home somewhere in Queens, filled with big Italian families who go and order the same thing over and over every time they come. It’s a red sauce joint, serving straight-forward, delicious Italian-American food and it’s not overly expensive. Places like this are getting harder to find in NY and I don’t know how this one has managed to stick around in this area for so long. The food won’t blow you away, but if you’re in the mood for old school Italian it’s a great choice. Me and a friend started with the mussels and the stuffed clams. The mussels come in a red sauce, and while I usually prefer white wine because it lets the seafood stand out better, this red sauce wasn’t over-powering and worked really well. My stuffed clams were perfect, and you can get a half order of 6. The spaghetti and meatballs are on point. The Linguini fra Diavolo isn’t spicy but it is delicious, and is full of mussels, shrimp, and calamari. For $ 19 I know I got at least 6 mussels, 3 shrimp, and countless squid. Great value. The service could not have been nicer or more attentive. Food took a little longer to arrive than at most places but I found myself enjoying the leisurely pace I got to eat at. The atmosphere is cozy, dimly lit, lots of wood and candles, booths and archways, but in a very large space– it’s great for groups.

And on Saturday’s we go to brunch and drink bottomless mimosas! Brunch can be almost anything you want it to be… Too late for breakfast… not quite lunch… so you can either breakfast or lunch ideas… or combine the two… This place is pretty entertaining… the staff was sweet and attentive… the atmosphere was lovely… I however didn’t enjoy the seating’s so much… felt really cramped… suppose to be relaxing! I ordered the eggs Benedict with a twist… Added with a side of potatoes… an assortment of fresh baked bread to start… the staff was pouring around pitchers of mimosas everywhere… If you want to celebrate with alcohol and have a great time this is the right place be… great strong mimosas… unlimited for just seven bucks extra! there were tons of people when i came… so be aware! Sounds like fun! Well come on lets go join the fun!

Mmmmm, brunch! I love a good brunch on a lazy Sunday. The menu looked good so we came in on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. There was no wait even though the restaurant was pretty busy. We sat outside and got to it. We decided on the unlimited mimosas during brunch for an extra $ 7/person. Totally worth it. Do it, you won’t regret it. Their mimosas were perfect and by perfect I mean champagney… Yupp, I just made that word up. We ordered the stuffed artichokes and caprese appetizers. Both were good! For our meals my friend got a hanger steak with eggs and potatoes, and I ordered a shrimp and asparagus frittata with potatoes. Her steak was a little tough and my frittata was ok. I don’t know what I was thinking, I love eggs, shrimp, and asparagus, but I don’t think it was a great combo. It was good, edible but not great. Their rosemary bread and truffle infused olive oil was great though! As for our waiter, he was ok. Could have been a little more attentive, and a lot less cold. All in all I’d go back for brunch and try something else.

What a great Italian restaurant in alphabet city! My friend and I were craving an Italian dish when we came across this restaurant on Unilocal(20% off? Count me in!) and ventured in. The restaurant wasn’t crowded at 5:30 and we were immediately seated outside in a cute al fresco area. The menu is extremely diverse and I had trouble deciding what I wanted to eat! I ended up ordering an antipasto dish and an entrée from the specials menu and boy was I full by the end of the meal. Before our meals came out, the waiter with enchanting hazel eyes brought us hot bread with truffle olive oil which was INCREDIBLE. So incredible, in fact, that my friend almost stole the olive oil. CONS: the service was really slow, but this might be because we were seated outside away from everybody. The staff was kind regardless of the leisurely service.

We came during a great time, right at the start of happy hour so the restaurant wasn’t busy. We were quickly seated and our waiter quickly took our orders. The menu idiots red that they able to make any of their pizzas with a gluten free crust(the smaller size only), as well as gluten free pastas so the mister was pretty excited about that. While we waited the waiter brought out large pieces of bread that had a soft thin crust topped with olive oil and rosemary. At the end of the table was a bottle of olive oil with a single garlic clove infusing it with flavor to eat with the bread — delicious. As an appetizer we ordered the octopus salad to share. It contained small chopped pieces of octopus, cherry tomatoes, bite sized pieces of potatoes and kalamata olives tossed in arugula. As delicious as it looked I was not a fan, the textures of the individual ingredients did not compliment each other, the plain potatoes were blanched or boiled(who knows) were tasteless. The octopus pieces tasted overcooked and mushy. The textures alone were not the only trouble I had with the salad, it lacked flavoring and could have used a spritz of lemon or a dash or salt and pepper in the least. I was most intrigued by the gluten free pizza. We ordered the prosciutto pizza which came with button mushrooms and large pieces of prosciutto slices that covered the entire pizza. The pizza sauce was delicious and not overpowering. But my favorite was the gluten free crust, it was crunchy and remained intact and didn’t crumble like others. Honestly I couldn’t even tell it was gluten free, it tasted like a regular thin crusted pizza. In addition to pizza we also ordered the linguine pasta tossed in a white cream sauce and shrimp. The pasta was cooked al dente and it was tossed with a generous helping of medium shrimp and asparagus. The cream sauce did taste a bit heavy but the dish was balanced out with the asparagus. Portions here are decent, the pasta dish provided two generous portions while the small pizza was cut into 6 slices that were perfect for two. Prices were reasonable, but overall it was just ok. I might be back but just for the gluten free pizza.

One of my favorite places in the East Village and if I’m being honest, NYC! The main attraction for me when I go here is the bartender, Dave. This badass holds down the bar upstairs on Monday and Saturday nights. Stop in on these days and watch the master at work. Strike up a conversation and don’t be a jerk, he’ll let you know. Also, while you’re there, order pretty much any pizza you want, they are all awesome. I do order pizza but tend toward the pasta or hangar streak. Pasta I go with the spaghetti, meatballs and sausage, it’s massive(enough for 2) and tasty as can be. The bolognese is also fantastic. Steak is always perfectly cooked and delicious. Do it. Check this place out for groups, happy hours, dates or just plan, sit by yourself and have a beer. It’s the best and they will make you want to come back.
