My new favorite bubble tea place: their boba tastes unlike the others, made of a sweet potato root and brown sugar that’s delicious! The classic green milk tea is so refreshing. Cannot wait to down this all summer! 5 stars!

Pro: The grass jelly was good. I’ll come back for it. Con: No wifi. They have a signal but are not sharing it. These kinds of business should have free wifi IMO.

Their bubble waffles were pretty underwhelming and definitely more social media– than tastebud-friendly.

This is my favorite bubble tea place ever. I used to work across the street from here at a tattoo place called addiction ink and I would go there all the time for lunch break and I would always get a yogurt shake and popcorn chicken. Whenever I’m in the area I’ll always come here.

A long time favorite for quick bite when I’m missing the flavor from my home town Taiwan. Bubble tea is above average and has all kind of special flavors that are hard to find like jujube green tea. Fried chicken is also a must order everytime we went there.

I always get the fried everything! So good and so like home! My favorite are the fried basil chicken, fried tempura, fried tofu, and fried mushroom. Bentos are good too. Beef noodle soup was a bit plain. Taiwanese sausage was good but way overpriced for the tiny portion.

TKettle is a good spot if you’re looking for somewhere that can seat a good sized group. There is quite a bit to choose from on the menu(bubble tea, desserts, snacks), and you can modify your bubble tea as you please– i.e. sugar levels, milk type, add ins(pudding, aloe, grass jelly etc.). I had the Taiwanese milk tea and the chocolate bubble waffle, and both were average at best. TKettle is a good place to visit if you’re needing a place to sit down, but if you’re seeking the best bubble tea/dessert, continue your search elsewhere.

The food and drinks are alright… it’s not so bad that I am going to swear in my ancestor’s name that I will never return but not that great that would have me come back often. The biggest attraction that they have is being the only Taiwanese small eats place in lower Manhattan(excluding Chinatown). The price definitely doesn’t add up to their quality and the portion is quite small compared to what you’d get in Chinatown and Flushing. Then again, what are you going to do when you really really want Taiwanese food and you happen to be at East Village? No complaint on the service(in fact my last one was pretty good) but I will complain that there was an unpleasant smell when I was dinning there last time. Still, TK sits at 3 stars.

Service was good but the food was horrible. I ordered all the«star» chef recommended items and was disappointed from the drinks to the egg puffs.

My go-to for boba in the EV even with kung fu right next door. My typical order is either the slush or regular Taro boba with tapioca or egg pudding and despite different people making the drinks almost every time they always come out pretty consistent. Usually costs us about $ 9 to $ 12 depending on what we get, which is a bit pricey but it’s good boba for EV standards

Busy joint with bubble tea and taiwanese snacks. The food looks decent, but be mindful if you end up sitting in the back — they may forget about you. The staff here are very nice, but it’s hard to get a hold of them if you sit in their inside seating area. Their drinks are average in my opinion, I wasn’t blown away by it. If I come again, I’ll try their food because they have an extensive food menu for a bubble tea place!

I wouldn’t say that this place has the best bubble tea, but it has decent bubble tea and a good amount of seating. I came here a few times to just hang out and catch up with old friends. Good location, mediocre customer service — they could be friendlier, but they seemed overworked/tired. I ordered their Thai tea with bubbles annnnd I visited their bathroom. I would give this place an overall rating of 3. :)

Another milk tea place that has an extensive menu, of which I can only guess has some hits & misses. You’ve got your various teas, of course, to shakes, slushes, various fried items, Asian snacky things, like popcorn chicken, potstickers, tofu, eggs, and whatnot. Then you’ve also got some Americanized Asian foods and some Asianized American foods. It’s still a nice place to sit, eat, and chat. The prices are reasonable. The space is clean and has plenty of seats, more seating than I expected to have for a tea shop. It is just too bad they don’t accept cards, but that’s typical of most milk tea places. We came for a beverage and some snacks. Matcha Milk Tea with Boba — pretty good. The consistency is thicker than I am used to. It was a little creamy, which added to the sweetness. Minced Pork over Rice & hard-boiled egg — also good. The pork was seasoned well and definitely goes well with rice. The soy sauce egg made this dish almost a meal. Popcorn Chicken — it’s popcorn chicken. Good stuff. Good balance of chicken and batter.

I came here because I was feeling nostalgic, wanted to go to Saints Alp, and found out they are closed(I AMSOSAD)!!! So I came here as I remembered this place fondly from med school and stopped by. I got a bubble tea and my friend got a bowl of warm grass jelly. She enjoyed her snack, and I was OK with my drink. The tea was a little weak, but the bubbles were pleasant. The lighting is bright, so great for reading and waiting for someone, as well as having a non-romantic conversation.

The Pop corn chicken, fish cake and fried tofu and snap beans are just ADDICTIVE! I literally need to come back every month Order drinks from kungfu tea or coco across the street. They suck at drinks And the whole to go or dine in system is really confusing too. They used to have a waiter, but not anymore. I guess everything is self service now Anyways, the food deserves everything

A review of the few items I had: Matcha Milk Tea with Boba — Really good! Flavor and sweetness were on point and the boba was not hard. Popcorn Chicken — Juicy but lacking in that signature crunch that popcorn chicken should have. Difficulty using the little shaker for the cayenne spicy mix as it would frequently clump up inside and not come out. Minced Pork Over Rice — A bit salty but texture and flavor were there. Soy boiled egg was a nice touch. I’d come back here again if I was craving some boba and pork over rice. Not so much for the popcorn chicken.

Not sure why people come here for bubble tea over the many other options on the same block. I’ve tried the Jasmine Milk Tea and Taro Milk Tea here and both times felt ripped off. It just tasted like a plain powdered drink watered down for ~$ 4. For milk tea /bubble tea, I would not recommend it. However, this place always has seating available unlike some other joints in the area which is a plus if you’re looking to sit down.

This place has mediocre boba, mediocre desserts, and mediocre sides. I have yet to try their meals. The only reason I go to this place is because they have seating for a boba joint. One tip about their fried side combinations is that the portions are small. The basil chicken is pretty good, but their sweet potato fries suuuuuuucckkkkkkk. Like soggy undercooked fries. suuuuucckkkkks. Keep that in mind.

Preeeeeetty close to authentic Taiwanese food as you will get in the US! Lots of Taiwanese people frequent here and they even have the local delicacy, pig’s blood cake. Bubble tea use to be on point but yesterday, the tapiocas were seriously undercook. A great place to hang out and chat with friends for hours!

A solid effort, for sure. We came here for a late dinner after a late lunch, so the usual dinner crowd had cleared out. We were seated immediately in the back by our super cute server, where he filled our waters and let us peruse the menu. I ordered a fried pork chop over rice, as that seemed to be very popular, while my sister ordered the braised pork over noodle soup. The fried pork chop was good. Nothing mind blowing, to say the least. The braised pork was tender but that and the noodle soup seemed lacking in flavor. However, it wasn’t bad. We didn’t order any drinks, but they looked super cute, served in little Bell mason jars. I wish our service was more frequent, there were many a times that our waters were empty and we were looking for our cute server for a refill.
