We passed by this place on the way to dinner on a sunday night and stopped into the Enoteca. It was so cozy and warm! We got a delicious cheese /charcuterie plate and the sangria was only $ 4(and came in mason jars). Everything was delicious and it was such a cute little place for an appetizer or drink… definitely recommend!

My love for todaros has grown fonder by each visit. I order from todaros regularly for corporate/business events. Everyone I’ve fed their salmon is completely converted to todaros catering. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating from the person taking my order to the person delivering. I’ve had sandwiches and and their amazing pie, cookies, meats etc etc etc,(NEVERDISAPPOINTEDALWAYSIMPRESSED) But tonight topped all take out experiences. Stopped by for happy hour and was pleasantly and astonishingly surprised by their enoteca. Delicious eats, wine selection and music. Yes! The music was spot on. Eclectic to the max. Anywhere from 80’s to 90’s all my weird quirky bands I love. The serving staff said they would tell the owner how much I loved the music but really, we really really loved it. As much as I want to keep this place under wraps, it probably will be the conversation piece through the new year! GEM

Best salami combo in Nyc. Come here all the time . Their prepared foods are really good too. Can’t go wrong here.

This place has been around forever. When I was a kid growing up on 22nd St, my Italian mom would go to this place for all her deli needs, and, to this day, swears up and down that the mozzarella here is even better than the mozzarella she could get back in Italy. Now in my 30s, I’m sure this place is just as great, perhaps better than ever.

A few opportunities for improvement for the Enoteca Wine Bar… 1. Meat and cheese –OFP:there are 2 people and 20+ pieces on the plate, serve it with more than 4 small pieces of a baguette. 2. Pasta –OFP: the penne with sausage; no flavor, dry plate of pasta with sausage, spinach was not fresh spinach. Stick to meat and cheese(with extra bread or a paninis, etc). Possible exploration: use olive oil, white wine, garlic. 3. Server did what she can being the bar tender, waitress, and bus girl. Hats off to her. Have patience.

I cannot say enough good things about Todaro Bros. I am a regular in the cheese section of the store and have recently gotten hooked on their frozen homemade pastas. Everything in the store is under priced, even with larger competitors in the area. My boyfriend and I just tried the Enoteca for the first time and were incredibly happy with our meals. We had the fried artichoke appetizer which was hot and delicious(the red pepper pesto is amazing and they sell it in the store). Then 5 crostini for $ 9. Each one was unique and tasty. You can mix and match from a list of around 10 options. The kale Caesar was heavy on the cheese in the best way. You do have to mix the dressing in yourself though, which could be a plus for some! The chicken parm entrée my boyfriend had was tasty but a little overpriced for the portion size at $ 17. The lasagna was the best dish of the night! It tasted fresh and a little on the lighter side. I did not feel guilty after eating this dish but completely satiated! Will be back to try more things on this classic, lovely menu! *5th star comes from being able to mosey through the store during or after your meal to buy many of the things you got to enjoy during dinner!

Enjoyed a great light dinner and wine in this cozy comfortable find. Varied menu for lunch and dinner and brunch. Will definitely go again especially over the holidays which should be very festive. Also loved the convenience of old school Italian specialty items in their connecting store.

We stumbled across this little grocery store /enoteca to kill some time before a movie at the nearby theater and we were so happy with this find! The wine bar(through the store) is small but cozy and comfortable. Drinks are reasonably priced(good wine under $ 15/glass). I got a sangria for $ 8 that was great — not too sweet and still strong. Excited to come to this hidden gem again! I also want to try out some of the cheeses they have available in the store.

The only gourmet market in the Kips Bay area. All of the staff are friendly but Bruno is the best. He always makes the best recommendations for the buffet bar. He lets you know what’s come out fresh, how long you can keep the item in your fridge and for items that need to be heated prior to eating — how long to microwave or how long to bake in the oven at what temperature. You are also allowed to sample the offerings before buying into them. You’ll see that during dinner hours, there is a line of people waiting to pick up dinner and Bruno will address each and every customer by name. Bruno is what makes this«THE» neighborhood market. Offerings usually include coleslaw, mashed potatoes, roasted chicken, meatballs, variety of fish including tilapia and salmon, beef stew, chili, chicken marsala, etc. Every day differs in their menu options prepared well with quality way beyond what you’d experience at Fairway.

Great neighborhood spot in an area where there is little. We have shopped here for years because they have the best cheese selection on earth and knowledgable staff. When they opened their enoteca we were so excited! It’s amazing, good wine and food at really great prices. Perfect for a glass of wine and a snack or a laid back delicious dinner, and then you can get groceries on the way out. Like Eataly, but tiny and neighborhood-y. Worth a stop in!

Been coming here on a regular basis since ’05 when I started working at NYU med center(and every morning when I lived a block away from 2010 – 2013). Try their fresh homemade oatmeal– its absolutely delicious. Better than«Oatmeal» in the west village and other specialty stores. Dont think they make it on the weekends. The flavor changes everyday– strawberry, pear, blueberry, raspberry… My fav is strawberry and pear! And what a great way to recycle their dying berries/fruits…the oatmeal is not advertised. You need to go to the back and ask for it. Their blueberry muffin is the best muffin Ive ever had. Its… HEAVEN. Very very moist, sweet, delicate, fluffy… The muffintop is a REAL treat. Please go and try it tomorrow. Their tuna salad is the BEST in nyc. I cannot buy tuna salad from anywhere else after having Todaro’s. Their sandwiches are fresh, they make them everyday and have weekly«specials» which are $ 5 – 6 a pop. The only thing I wouldnt buy from here would be fruits/veggies. They charge what you would pay for organic produce, for non-organic stuff.

This place is brilliant. It is a neighborhood market and bistro. The way to enter the restaurant is through the market, impressive, and what a market to explore. The cheese area is to die for. This morning I tried enough to make me want to go home and start cooking anything that required CHEESE ‼ The people that work here are so nice and they know their craft. Needless to say I purchased a few items. I learned so much about why I like cheese today; who knew. Love love love this place. As far as the food… Both market and restaurant have been consistently fantastic. So happy to have found this place.

Wow this was a good sandwich! It was soooo packed full of meat. I sometimes work in the area, so this will be my go to spot for a good sub. I ordered the Italian. You could tell the bread was fresh baked.

Really cute shop with great service and a nice selection of Italian goods. I ordered a sandwich with tomato, mozzarella, basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. It looked delicious and seemed to be made with care. The workers were very friendly. However when I bit into my sandwich I got a mouth full of sand. I immediately spit out my bite noticed that there was a large chunk of dirt stuck to the bottom side of the basil leaf. It was really disappointing and gross for that matter. I was in a rush so didn’t have time to go back and let them know. I imagine the basil just wasn’t cleaned enough. Otherwise the sandwich and my experience would have received a higher rating. I doubt this would happen often so maybe check it out and inspect your basil before chomping down. It looked great on the outside!

I hadn’t been here since they added in the little restaurant on one side, but I went this weekend. My friend and I went to the movies, and then we wanted to grab a drink so we figured we’d give it a try. It was really nice. It’s not too big, but it wasn’t too crowded. We sat by the open window which was nice. They had a brunch menu that looked good, and some drink specials. We weren’t really hungry for a whole meal, but we split a flat bread and got drinks. We got the Prosciutto & Arugula flat bread — Mozzarella/Roma Tomatoes/Parmigiano Reggiano. It was good, and everything seemed really fresh. I got a glass of sangria that was good, and was cute and came in a mason jar. My friend got one of their special mimosas. I forgot what it was called, but it reminded me of a mojito and had mint in it. This place is cute, and the food I had was good, and the drinks seemed reasonably priced. I definitely would go back for drinks or to have a full meal!

Awesome little hidden gem right across from the lips bay movie theater! The mix and match crostini was amazing as was the burrata. The truffle sausage flat bread bread was a little dry but the penne pasta more than made up for it. Also, bottles of wine starting at $ 27! Will definitely be coming back a lot!

Was going to watch a movie at the theater across the street and needed a place to eat. Came across this place and i’m glad i did. The wine bar/restaurant is very cute and cozy. And the food is good. The only complaint i have is that the food took quite long to come out. Also the lasagna was a bit salty.

Looking for one of those secret places nobody knows about(but has actually been around for 100 years) What a great place! Sounds crazy for an Italian grocery store but the empanadas and kale salad are amazing! A throwback to the old New York where you would find really great food prepared by the family in their own store. You can kick back for a casual lunch or brunch with a really nice wine selection, the charcuterie, crostini is a better than you will find anywhere in the city at about half the price. Then after you can actually buy the products you just ate in the market It is Eataly before Eataly ever existed!

Excellent, truly excellent service and products. Do yourself a favor and make a point to stop at this nearly 100 year old New York Deli. The best cannoli I’ve ever had, and not just by a little bit, by miles.

It is a cute Italian grocery store near NYU Hospital. The best part about this little market is their deli sandwiches. They have great cold cut and cheese and their sandwiches are fresh and huge. They also have a daily special, which is a steal for usually $ 6. They also have these hot food sections during lunch hours and price is pretty fair. I want to try their Italian coffee next time!
