This place has poor costumer service and vile, disrespectful staff. I walked in there tonight soaked from the train with groceries held in my umbrella because my paper bag had ripped, and asked if I could have a plastic bag. There were 2 men behind the counter, one told me that they don’t have plastic bags and the other laughing behind him. He then changed his mind and asked me to pay him 25 cents for a plastic bag and claimed they charge all their customers this fee. Still the other man laughing behind him as he smiled at me. Whether this«fee» is true or false, it’s sickens me that these 2 men chose to not help a returning customer and instead chose to get off on having control over someone needing help. I chose to walk home in the rain instead of paying that lowlife a penny. I live by this store and have come here before but will definitely never come back because of those 2 men.

OK, so I stopped by here specifically for a deli sandwich expecting some awesome surprise indicated by the other reviews. Meh… the Italian hero wasn’t bad by any means, lots of meat at least, but nothing to write home about for $ 7. If you’re dying of hunger and happen to be right in front of this deli then go ahead and order something, but otherwise it’s just a deli.

I like Tony Farm’s Market(I thought it was Tony’s Farm Market?) They’re known to my wife and I as the place that always has Kinder Hanuta. They closed recently for renovations, which usually means goodbye, but they reopened recently, as they said they would. Much more spacious inside than before, cleaner look, but if you look closely, it’s the same place. Just looks nicer. Which is fine, b/c Tony’s was fine before the reno. Gave it the baconeggandcheese test this morning — passed. Solid bodega for the neighborhood, there are others that are just as good, few better, and plenty that are worse. With regard to that lady and the ATM — I had that happen once before in the Bronx. If an ATM runs out of cash, it will only give you what’s left, and it will say so on the receipt. Otherwise, if the receipt says $ 100, the machine gave you $ 100. I don’t know about her, that story sounds like a shitty situation all around. When that happened to me in the Bronx, there was no drama, but that’s because the receipt told the story. Moral — ALWAYS get the receipt from ATMs, for this reason.

Tony’s is my staple Saturday morning breakfast place. They make great, cheap breakfast sandwiches and the location can’t get any more convenient. The grill guy is awesome, he gives me exactly what I want and is really fast. I even forgive him when he consistently forgets the ketchup on my sandwich :-( The hot coffee is standard but the iced coffee rocks. The asian lady makes the iced coffee the best! Open 24 hours, I can get whatever I need at any time… milk, soda, pomegranate seeds… because obviously I need access to pomegranate seeds at 3am. They also are my go-to for flowers… like many other corner stores on the UES, their flowers are plentiful, fresh, and cheap.

I happened upon this place one day and I loved it. GREAT deli sandwiches(which surprised me because the place doesn’t look like some place you’d normally just stop in to). Also, they have a great selection of cooking, cleaning and just general necessities. I could do my basic shopping here and it is better than the Duane Reade near my house… They also have pet food, fresh fruit and vegetables. A great find and I will continue to go there as long as they make the #17(Honey mustard chicken sandwich!)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place– always there when I need it, they have everything I need, and the deli food is fantastic! Always have my coffee and bagel here, and they make a great Ham & Swiss sandwich!

The chef behind the counter who works the grill is amazing. The people who probably own this place are behind the register and are on and off, rude and polite. There is a rotation of three, sometimes four, people behind the register who are the bosses and I will say one is super-nice, one is indifferent, and one is not nice. However, the help they have — including the afore-mentioned chef — is outstanding. My advice — go in for a(fantastic) sandwich — and compliment not only the man who made it happen, but compliment him to the faces behind the register.

When my white Russian can’t be white because I’m out of milk I call Tonys. Out of ice? call Tonys. Its 3am, raining like its the end of the world, I’m almost to the next Boss if I can only get past these darn zombies and I’m out of beer? No problem, call Tonys. Tonys has a wide selection of beers. A 40oz bottle of ice cold Bud is only $ 4 bucks! They have a deli that offers Genuine Boar’s Head Meats. And the kitchen makes an awesome egg& bacon on a roll sandwich. Simply delicious for only $ 2.50, a bargain. This spot is open 24HR365 days a year. $ 10 buck minimum for all deliveries.

DONOTUSETHEATM. I went to the ATM in Tony’s last night. I asked it for $ 100 and it only gave me $ 80, even though it said $ 100 on the receipt. I talked to the clerk who at first said that it wasn’t the business’ problem, but did say that cash sometimes gets stuck in the machine. We both checked the machine and there was no cash in it. After about a 25 minute ordeal, in which it was recommended that I «go find a copy machine» to make a copy of the receipt and then come back another day to pick up my money. I don’t live in the neighborhood, and was on my way to dinner which I was now 25 mins late to. Someone called my cell phone 4 times today. I assume it was the owner. She tried to tell me that I did take $ 100 out of the machine and dropped a $ 20 and that another customer stole it.(This is allegedly all on video). She kept(aggressively) telling me that it was all my fault and that I owe the store $ 20. When I said that I had looked all around the machine several times, and so had the store clerk she said she was sending the video to the police and then hung up on me. RIDICULOUS
