Great place for lunch, good food, very large space. Very modern, clear, friendly staff. Love the place.

We eat here at least once to twice a week for dinners. Occasionally a brunch on Sunday. I can’t say enough about the owner, he’s always friendly, smiling and helpful. It’s been a pleasure to go here weekly, as the staff and food are very good. You can tell that the owner is extremely hands on because the place is immaculate, the food is consistent, and we’ve never had a bad meal there.

Great little breakfast diner in TriBeCa area of Manhattan. Alberto was a terrific sever, on point and patient with kids that are wild and loud. Food was well done and very quickly served. Great place to take your family for breakfast.

Tribeca — the neighborhood — has changed, as have so many things about New York. Like Diners. In NYC, there used to be a couple of greasy spoon«Diners» in every neighborhood.(Think where the«Two Broke Girls» work.) They’re mostly all gone, like the boarded-up Imperial Coffee Shop corner of Chambers and Church Streets which will undoubtedly soon be replaced by(more) really, really expensive condos. And so Tribeca’s Kitchen is the new incarnation of the classic Diner, for the new Tribeca, and very well done at that. You’ll find a lot of organic, free range ingredients, freshly prepared. You’ll find lots of choices, as well as menu additions you’d never find at a greasy spoon. Appetizers to full breakfast. Classic burgers for $ 10 and up. Paninis and wraps, like a grilled salmon-spinach wrap for about $ 15. Last night I had the Chilean Sea Bass Veracruz. Several large pieces of fish, perfectly pan fried with a crisp edge, classic Veracruz style sauce, choice of potatoes and soup or salad, an off-menu special, for $ 24.95, which is the very upper end of the price range. They have a liquor license with a small but thoughtful selection of wines and beers, about $ 6-$ 8 a glass. The owner seems to always be on premises keeping an eye on things. Seating is comfortable, and it isn’t too noisy. You can have a conversation without shouting, or spread out with your laptop, or eat old-school with a book, newspaper, or a project. Service is quick — the professional waiters aren’t overly chatty, but will give you advice if asked. Don’t forget to tip them. There is a coffee, too, an organic blend that is nice(as well as organic teas), and some nice moist desserts in the case. Try the Tres Leches cake — it was so rich I thought they brought me Cinco Leches by mistake. Whether you call Tribeca’s Kitchen a «Diner» or a «Coffee Shop,» it is an updated take on a very solid neighborhood restaurant: clean, reliable, comfortable, affordable, fresh food well prepared, open 6am to midnight, and kid friendly.

I have just ordered a delivery from this place — so bad! Cold, tasteless, i couldn’t eat my burger. When the system asked to add jalapeño, cheese, etc, i have assumed the basic things would be there already — vegetable, pickles(maybe), But no! It came just with the awful meat(not medium as asked), and the things i have specifically asked! Dont bother eating here, a yogurt would be much nicer.

Very good restaurant! Service was amazing, we never had to wait for anything. Food was good, and the interior decirations felt like a classic American diner — nice!

Decent food but nothing to run to. Had Grilled Chicken Wrap with fries. Fries are fan-shaped but the crust was oily and«tasted» of regenerated oil. The chicken needed marinating so when it hits the grill, it is flavorful through and through. Everything’s fresh but somewhat expensive for the lack of flavor but in line with the area’s rent. Cookies are delish but again, expensive but not expansive enough to merit the cost.

Came here for lunch on Saturday and had the veggie burger. DELICIOUS! It seems to be house made rather than frozen and the fries were equally fresh and amazing. Great ambience, excellent service, and the value for the food is outstanding. They give you large portions and lots of them. My best friend had one of the brunch specials and had bacon, eggs, french toast, sangria, coffee, and water all for less than $ 15. And maybe we just came at the right time, but we didn’t have to wait either. (Get the fries, though. For real.)

Went here for quick breakfast and did not disappoint. Quick, courteous service and food was very good, reasonable price as well. The orange juice was one of the best I’ve had! Had the Mexican omelette and I loved it

I really don’t understand the great reviews. The food is nothing special, and my experience was horrendous. I came here with my gf for lunch thinking it’d be a nice spot. Boy were we wrong!!! From the name you might think this is an upscale place, but it is a diner and nothing more. We both ordered sodas for drinks. Mine was fine, but my girlfriend’s glass had not been washed. It had the outline of a female’s lips with remnants of lipstick on the glass. We told the server and it took him 5 minutes to bring back another one(Strike 1). I ordered a burger and my gf had a salmon burger. If you like your burger as a bland and thick hunk of beef, shaped into a patty, then you would have loved my order; however, I do not like burgers with that description, and thus I was woefully disappointed(Strike 2). My girlfriend’s salmon burger(as Gordon Ramsay would say) was dreadful. It was so bad that she only had a few bites and was unable to finish. The cheese(although fancy in name) did not taste very good. It was salty, overpowering, and ruined the entire burger. Additionally, I took bites of the salmon with a fork and found it to be extremely bland(Strike 3). What made it worse was the $ 35.00 bill plus tip. I wouldn’t have paid more than $ 20.00 for our entire meal, and that is being generous. If you’re considering this restaurant, I would recommend reevaluating your decision asap!

We went here twice out of sheer convenience. The staff is great and is brisk without being brusque. On Saturday, they have a brunch special where you can get mimosa or juice with certain food items. I did not partake in day drinking, but I LOVED my bagel platter(bagels with smoked salmon, cream cheese, and all the accoutrements of cucumber, capers, etc.). My friend’s omelette, which we shared, was just OK, mostly because it was underseasoned. Also pretty sure that was bacon, not pancetta. On Sunday, I went back earlier in the morning and didn’t see the brunch special menu, so I’m guessing that’s affiliated with the lunch menu. I definitely missed all the accoutrements when I ordered bagel with lox again, but it was still delicious. My friend’s challah French toast was delicious. We had no problem getting a table either day, even though we arrived during peak breakfast/brunch times.

Really nice looking 2 floor diner. It’s located very closely to Manhattan courts and Immigration, as well as New York Law School. I was downtown for a work thing and early as usual. I needed a nice place for breakfast and wanted to try a new spot. I saw this place as I was walking from the Subway station and it looks very clean, nice, doesn’t come right out and scream diner. It looks like more of a nicer restaurant upon first viewing. I decided to try the Little Italy omelette, which contains 3 eggs, soppressata, sun dried tomatoes, arugula and mozzarella. The omelette was delicious. The soppressata gave the whole thing a nice spice that blended well with the rest of the ingredients. It also came with a portion of home fries which were shredded potatoes. Those were phenomenal, they were the kind that just melt in your mouth. With this dish is also toast and while it’ll run about $ 12, it’s very filling. A nice place that I’ll have to visit again soon.

My husband and two friends dined here for Christmas breakfast last week and liked it enough. Nothing special, though the menu was sizable enough to make it difficult to figure out what to order. That’s a good thing! My veggie frittata seemed to be hiding the feta, and when I asked about it, the server assured me it was in there. I really don’t think it was. The hash browns were really good if you like them shredded and crunchy, which is what I really like! Service was ok, but a bit unattentive. Each time we needed a coffee refill we had to track down our server, and when it was time to leave, we had to request our bill. This place is a decent breakfast option, but nothing über special in a city with many special places to eat.

Un deli sympa où les burgers sont bons. Je n’ai pas été transporté par les frites mais c’est vrai que leur découpe est rigolote. Un bon stop quand on remonte par Church St.

When you are looking for a solid and reasonably priced brunch in TriBeCa, this place is a good choice. We checked this out with a few friends on a Sunday morning for brunch at peak brunch time(11:30) and had no issue getting a table. The service was great and they didn’t mind us sitting for awhile to catch up, well after we had finished our meal. Great range of egg dishes for $ 12 – 16 though not that many non-egg options for brunch. I got an omelette(with a bunch of veggies and cheese) that came with sides of hash browns and toast. It was a good, not a great, omelette, but they did give a large portion so that I was full for most of the day. All in all, I’d recommend it for a good place to catch up with friends with average food for a reasonable price in the neighborhood!

A nice diner that specializes in great omelettes. Open every day for breakfast they are a reliable option for the downtown area. Very friendly staff helped make us feel very at ease. Didn’t feel rushed at all and felt very well taken care of. As mentioned they have great omelettes. I had the Washington market omelette with asparagus peppers onion. My friend had the avocado omelette. Both of us left nary a trace of egg on our plate. We also had a young toddler with us. The joint is kid friendly w high chairs and lots of space between tables. They also have a nice kids menu. Good prices — our check was $ 30 which includes the tip.

Nice sit-down joint with calm atmosphere. Chicken rice soup was good despite a large piece of cartilage that caught me off-guard(standard thing with chicken based soups though). My cubano panini was filling along with the oddly shaped fries, however it did not live up to my expectations of what a cubano should taste like. I was semi-disappointed, but I was also very hungry after going through an interview… Would not order this next time if I run through this location again. The sweet pickles threw off the flavor of the cubano entirely. Service was good. Overall, not tragic for the city and for $ 13 total.

My new favorite place to order from… The primo panini is really good. It doesn’t come on what you would consider panini bread. It’s more like actual bread, not the thinner and flimsier bread typically used at a deli or diner for example. It has steak, sliced mozzarella, tomato, arugula, basil, and portobello mushrooms. The steak isn’t the best steak ever but it’s only $ 13!!! I usually stay away from anything green, but I have a newfound appreciation for arugula now. Ok… The fries. You can either have greens(ew) or fries on the side. I’m not really a fan of either but these fries are SOGOOD! They aren’t the thin rectangular kind of fries you usually get on the side. They’re also not«curly fries» although they are curly. They’re cut thicker and they’re a medium brown color, not a light yellow. Next time I will take pictures of this beautiful panini/fries combination. Which will be very soon. Probably tomorrow. Moving on to the grilled salmon wrap. Aside from the obvious salmon, it has fresh spinach, roasted peppers, avocado, and balsamic vinaigrette. Also comes with either fries or salad. It was pretty good. I ate half(it comes as a hot wrap), and then the rest later after it was in the fridge for a while. Not sure if I liked it better hot or cold. Bland, but I kind of like bland food sometimes(is that weird?)
