Honestly, one of the most memorable food offered at Unilocal’s Spring Spectacle. I couldn’t stop eating it!

Mmmm nuts.
Umami is a good flavor to invoke with these addictive little buggers. Savory, touch of sweet, the taste is reminiscent of many Asian snacks of the rice cracker seaweed variety. Yum. Wish bars would put these out as snacks.
Tried these at Unilocal’s Spring Spectacle. Another gem of a find owed to the Unilocal team.

Umame Nuts is easily one of the best snacks I’ve had in recent memory and likely on the verge of something wonderful. I haven’t seen or had anything like it honestly, but I’m proud to know these babies are produced right here in New York. The combination of the crunch, the natural sweetness, and airy after taste produces a tastebud tingling of cracktastic proportions. Who would’ve known these nuts that are so light would be packed with so much flavor? Certainly not I.
For the health nuts out there, Umame Nuts is «minimally processed» which is code for non-​factory, non-​mucho chemicals, and made with a lot of TLC. The sweet and savory nature is a nod to its Shanghainese origin and to its creator, known to the food and snack world simply as Li. A combination of seaweed, brown rice crisps, and peanuts, it’s everything wonderful: simple, vegan, and above all delicious.
Get yourself a bag or three at the next food market or street fair and keep an eye out for these bad boys. It’ll only be a matter of time before they’re sold everywhere.

This snack is packed with flavor. It’s salty, natural, sweet, crunchy and earthy. Who the heck needs doritos when you got Umame Nuts. The owner was so nice, he told me about how his dad use to cook him a batch everything he visited him and then he had the bright idea to turn it into a business. I’ll be glad to be one of the first to try these nuts but I won’t be last cuz it’s going to blow uppppp!!!

This snack mix is Soo delicious. The nuts have the perfect crunch and the seaweed ties everything together and gives it its great taste. You get a taste of saltiness and sweetness in each bite, it’s perfect! It’s definitely something I can snack on when I’m hungry, out drinking with my friends, watching a movie, you get the picture. I’ve only had the pleasure of tasting these once and ive been craving it since! I actually wish I had some right now lol. I hope they branch out soon and have their product accessible to the public because I would definitely be one of their best customers!
