This place sucks my balls. I paid $ 40 for one slice of bread and a cup of moldy fruit basically… The food is awful, you have to get all your own crap and the utensils are plastic. I want my money back you turd burglers!!!

Visited this place walking down 8th avenue before a theater show and decided to try it out. Mediocre cuisine r the prices they charge. Friendly helpful staff behind the counter. I had the Prefixed dinner at $ 15. $ 3 for water and with taxes it was $ 20+ Minestrone soup very thin tomato broth with lots of potato chunks, some carrots an a small bit of corn(not what I know of as Minestrone soup), Th chicken choice is chicken Milanese thin breaded and fried/sauted. Tender but bland. Desert was included — it was supposed to be Tiramisu but they were out of it so I was given 2 mini canole — flavorless chocolate coated with flavorless filling eck. 2 bites and I left the rest. You order at the counter, they give you what they have and bring out the remainder. They don’t do glasses of water and my only option was to buy overpriced bottled water. It seems like the primary group that they’re looking for is tourists, who see open clean spot and think,“okay, this might be a nice place to eat,” Because the food is certainly not good enough to keep people coming back. I will not go back and wished I made a different choice.

Mediocre cuisine at best for the prices they charge. The gnocchi alright, but nothing more special than what I could make out of a bag at home(if not worse). The service is lackluster at best(order at the counter, somebody brings it out). They confused themselves by taking the number off my table preemptively and thus my dish arrived far after my dinner partner’s. The environment reminds me of something more akin to a chipotle than an actual restaurant. Overall, just disappointed. There was so much potential for a nice new place here and I feel they really need to rattle out the bugs.

I just picked up a cup of coffee here on a Tuesday night at 9 pm, which was actually pretty decent, especially seeing how there weren’t any other coffee options within a 3 block radius. I had to leave quickly, though, as the live music, while good, was destroying my ear drums.

Visited this place walking down 8th avenue and decided to try it out, the menus ok but the food is fresh which is always a plus, the drinks for happy hour are great! Drafts are limited but was surprised they had stella, so i stuck with stella during my time there, happy hours only 3 dollars for the drafts, the bartender Denise is really cool! so if u want to take a break from the city life for a quick beer and sandwich would def recommend.

The staff are friendly, pizza is ok, but the salad is junk. No bartender. Its super expensive. The only thing I like was the pepperoni pizza. Don’t try the Bianca pizza.

Decent food but extremely disjointed and slow service. I’ve seen surgical procedures that were quicker than the time it took to press my friends sandwich. They also in a very snobby fashion told me that they don’t do fountain water and my only option was to buy overpriced bottled water…

This place is such a huge rip off. Prices on signs are cheaper than on the register. They ring you up and give you grief when you question why you are being charged $ 3.75 for a side of meatballs instead of $ 2.00 as advertised. Do not recommend.

Stopped in for a quick bagel and coffee on my way to work. Bagel was good although barely toasted so if you *actually* want it toasted, ask them to do it twice. As an FYI, they don’t spread the butter on so I’d suggest doing it asap if you want it to melt. Otherwise great quick breakfast spot. I’ll need to try them again for lunch.

Scotty(Robert) was one of the best bartenders I’ve met in NYC! The food and drinks were all great and reasonably priced. Definitely a favorite now and will be returning next time.

Came here cause they have tv that played nba finals. Odd lunch place that has a bar… 6 dollar draft beers. Not bad. Nice big tv. But definitely only here because other real sports bars in the area were packed. Had the wings combo for 9 bucks you get about 6 wings and fries. The fries were surprisingly good. But the wings were pretty terrible and over sauced. They have credit card minimums. 15 at the bar and 10 at the lunch counter. Which is pretty annoying.

Really bad service. I ordered hamburger and it took them 20 minutes to serve it. After making follow ups the wait staff just kept telling me «it’s coming» but he never bothered to really check if its really coming.

Combination of fast food/pizza joint and restaurant/bar, but with the worst aspects of both. Pros: –The space is clean –The food is actually not bad –Convenient location(for tourists) Cons: –The menu is indecipherable, illegible, has items that they don’t have the ability to make, and are missing items that they do make(e.g. breakfast sandwiches). –The service is SOSLOW. Given how many people are in the kitchen, it’s mind-boggling how much time it takes to SCOOPSOUPINTO A BOWL(I counted 24 minutes once), or boil some pasta and add pre-made sauce(38 minutes). –About 40% of the time, they get your order wrong –The food quality is okay but not worth the price or the wait. –The«waiters» are either chatty to the point of annoyance, or inattentive and don’t even give you your utensils or napkins or anything. It’s hard to figure out what the target audience of this place is, because it’s too slow and pricey for someone wanting a quick bite to eat, but not welcoming or comfortable or nice enough for a sit-down meal for a family. It seems like the primary group that they’re looking for is a family of tourists, who see the big sign and flashing lights and think,“okay, this might be a nice place to eat,” get coerced by the manager into sitting down and ordering drinks, and feeling trapped after thirty minutes because they haven’t gotten their food yet but they’ve already paid. And every time you look in the restaurant, it’s filled with this type of group. Essentially, the entire premise of this restaurant is to take advantage of tourists using the sunken cost fallacy, because the food and service is certainly not enough to keep people coming back.

Slow, dry sandwich with barely anything other than the bread for $ 10.

There seemed to be a slight amount of disorientation in the staff as we arrived but I feel like it is because this place is a little new. Service once we were settled was very attentive. It has a setup that I can only describe as combining a pizza/deli spot with a little bar on the side. Va Presto West is a large open space with plenty of tables to go along with plenty of light from the windows which look directly onto 8th ave. Good prices on beers and the Burger was a special on the happy hour; it was top notch for the little that was spent. The lady had the Proscuitto Pannini which was also tasty and a good sized portion. Check it out, worth a stop.
