FINALLY! A vegan place that a non-vegan can enjoy. I love my occasional burger, and this place serves up one that i swear works for me. I try to watch what i eat, and I like that there’s not the saturated fat content like a regular burger, yet with good protein and good taste. I also had fries and a brazillian rabanada for dessert. Really enjoyed my meal and the«less guilty» cinnamon french toast rabanada dessert :). Definitely on my list now.

I’ve been a vegan for 15 years, and I dine out frequently and I am beyond thrilled that Vburger is my favorite new addition to the vegan dining scene in New York City. The mission, style and ethic of Vburger is commendable, and the food is amazing and a game changer for those who think you can’t have delicious yet decadent fast food that is healthier and plant-based. Vburger accomplishes this and goes far beyond. I’ve eaten at Vburger several times and my expectations were exceeded each time, both in the quality and presentation of the food, and the excellent customer service. The onion rings are out of this world – I can’t recommend them enough! Vegan onion rings are very hard to come by, and these are the best I’ve had – perfectly cooked in a delicious chickpea beer batter which gives a unique addictive taste to these rings. They are served with an incredible ranch dipping sauce as well. My most recent visit had my trying my new favorite – a new addition to the menu – The Sloppy DaVinci burger. Wow! This sloppy Joe with an Italian twist would satisfy the most die-hard carnivore – it’s perfectly seasoned, protein-packed and fills you up without leaving you with that weighed down feeling you get after eating meat. You feel energized after eating at Vburger. That same visit I also tried the Avocado Toast, which was divine. Super fresh mashed avocado, perfectly seasoned and layered on pumpernickel toast and topped with raw radish and cilantro with a sprinkling of Mexican spice. A very healthy choice. Other favorites are the Vslider sampler which allows you to sample three of the burger options in three adorable mini-burgers. The Fried UnChik’n sandwich is a winner all around. I also loved the Portobella Steak Sandwich. This is a hearty sandwich as a generous portion of marinated grilled portobella is layered among red peppers and arugula on yummy french bread. Everything is perfectly cooked. I’ve never been the biggest fan of veggie burgers, but the VBurger classic with cheese is incredible and won me over. The vegan cheese is fantastic. I’m a big fan of Kombucha, so I adore the fact that Vburger has Kombucha on tap – another rarity in NYC. I am eager to try the salads available at Vburger and there are various sides such as the potato salad and quinoa salad that are perfect to grab and go. And lots of choices of decadent vegan desserts(including an out of this world vegan cannoli) that will satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth without ever guessing they were vegan. The owner of Vburger, Robert Cox, is a gem and goes out of his way to make customers feel valued and cared about. I love Vburger and look forward to being a regular customer and urging friends and family to give this wonderful place business. Vburger deserves all the success in the world – they are changing the landscape of fast food in New York City. They’ve proven that vegan, plant-based fast food is not only possible – it’s spectacular!

Welcome to the newcomer on the vegan streets of New York! Housed inside a small urban eatery with modern décor, VBurger is home to some delicious fare! First up I had to get the double burger with cheese, which was a beast! I had trouble fitting my mouth around it, and that’s saying a lot!(What, I have a big mouth — ya some kind of wise guy huh?) The patties were earthy and full of flavor, with just that right kind of flavor I remember in a fast food burger kind of place(except a lot more delicious, and a lot less deadly to all involved [including the animals]). Then Thrilla had to have the fried chicken sandwich with v-mayo sauce and good lord was it good! Crispy and full of flavor on the outside with warm juicy interior blended well with the mayo and veggies. Throw on a side of fries(half potato, half sweet potato) with organic ketchup and a whoopie pie to finish it off and we were in heaven. Inside the same space is a Hummus & Pita Co, which we did not try — the main attraction had everything we needed. Including kambucha on tap in multiple flavors and lots of dessert options. Yes. All of the yes in the world.

I am so upset! I paid $ 15 for a V Burger and a Large Fries and I got cold fries. I ask the girl to change the fries and give me fresh ones and she put the fries back in the oil and added salt and gave them to me. I was livid. re-fried fries are disgusting. Then when it came to the burger, it was cold. She assured me that everything was just freshly made. I am so disgusted. I love this place but this is the second time I’ve had a bad experience. I threw away my entire lunch and had to purchase from somewhere else.

Had the unchicken tenders and zucchini. Both were good in flavor but the chicken wasn’t the most delicious meat replacement I’ve had. Only problem with the food was that it was too oily. The batter absorbed too much. The bbq sauce was very good and the ranch was amazing!!! My favorite part!

delivery took 48 minutes. the side of zucchini chips were soggy and a ball of mush and the salad was a joke. there were like three pieces of lettuce. i cant get over the salad. its like they took out lettuce to fit the condiment cups. $ 9 on a salad with the amount of lettuce you put on a burger. and if you call the service on the phone is a joke and the phone rings for ever

Really excellent tasting food! I ordered the VSlider Sampler which was 3 slider size sandwiches of Unchiken w/Avocado, Classic, & Einstein. All 3 were great and I would definitely recommend! Fries were great too. Will be back soon!

Love the unchicken sandwich but the slider version isn’t quite as good. The classic slider is kind of lame, tasting like a Boca burger(are those still on the market?) The Einstein slider was decent and I do like the option to try 3 different sliders since I couldn’t decide on my order though I think the patties of the sliders are different than the full burger versions. The fried zucchini is pretty thick and greasy so opt for fries. Glad they have kombucha, the ginger is good but the elderberry made my tummy hurt. It tasted like beer, tho I don’t drink so I probably don’t even know what beer tastes like.

This place is great. Even thought Robert Cox, manager gave me free or discount, I still donate because he is always nice. VBurger is best place for vegans and non-vegans trying out vegan diet. Sometimes Robert or other VBurger sometimes bring our foods to table even thought they’re not waters/waitresses. On Roberto Bonelli’s birthday celebration, Roberto Cox gave us free dessert, but some decided to pay it because it goes to Mercy for Animals, etc. I also went on opening day and I had Da Vinci Burger I think and went to see Goosebumps Movie at nearby AMC19th St. After I been going to VBurger many times, Robert gave me free dessert or soda, etc because I became regular customers.

Some of the best tasting fast food I’ve ever had. I’m not vegan but would seriously consider it if I could get food this tasty. And the deserts? Yum.

Food: Great for vegetarians/vegans. I’ve only been able to try the un-chickn sandwich & fried zucchini, but both were pretty good! A little too greasy for my taste, but good for a splurge day! Only negative is the customer service. Everyone seemed really confused behind the counter, my order came out wrong and missing the zucchini. Ended up being handed a coupon for a free burger on my next visit.

I’m writing this review as I sit in the place finishing this fried chicken sandwich. The space is shared with a hummus & pita company so it’s a cool layout with a brand new feel to it, very comfortable to see and eat and they have outlets which is awesome. The onion rings here are out of sight and everything you want from one, crispy, flavourful and the sauce is the perfect companion. I’m taking away a star because while the fried chicken sandwich is good, its a little on the mushy side but all the flavors blend well. I hope this place makes cause I’ll be back a bunch of times.

Dropped by for a decent Seamless Vburger order pickup after trying samples outside multiple times(They share a space with Hummus & Pita, which does the same thing on the same corner).

OK. So I’ve been here twice so far. Once for the Vburger itself and once for their«chicken» sandwich. The food was good, but **GENERICNYCCRITICISMALERT** a little pricey. I got a sandwich, large fries, and a bottled water for like $ 16? That puts this place into the«Treat Yo’Self» category, but I’m not totally sold that the quality is «Treat Yo’Self» quality. It was GOOD, but for that money I want more than good. One simple thing they could do is toast the damn bun. Remember that time you had a burger type sandwich on an untoasted bun? Remember how that made you feel? Like you were at a corporate picnic with company-mandated three-legged races and team building exercises. Toast that damn Vburgerbun, Vburger. Also, the«chicken» sandwich was better than the vburger. The vburger reminded me of a boca burger, which I don’t mind. I’ve had many the veggie burger in my day and that boca style is a nice change from the patty of warm vegetables bound with salt and prayer typical of other veggie burgers. That being said, a boca burger is definitely not«Treat Yo’Self» quality. The sandwich itself was like many new yorkers– well dressed, tasty, but lacking the qualities to establish a fulfilling relationship with and forgivably flawed in the buns department. FINALTHOUGHTS: If you’re in the area and have an extra twenty bucks hop in and give it a shot. With a toasted bun and a little more food for your money, this place could easily be a solid four stars.

Nice selection of all-vegan burgers! I got the sliders so that I could try 3 different burgers at once. I liked all of them and my favorite was the Einstein made(cauliflower burger patty). I also shared the black bean burger which was good– however there are many black bean burgers out there, so nothing that makes it stand out that much. The vegan onion rings were amazing! Hard to find vegan onion rings so I definitely had to try them. They were deep fried and greasy so don’t expect them to be a health food. I do wish they offered BAKED onion rings as an option! I love that they have Kombucha on tap! Perfect fizzy goodness to go with your vegan fast food meal. They have to-go meals(salads etc) in the refrigerator section as well as many other drinks(coconut water etc). They also offer desserts(cannolis, whoopie pies, brownies) which I believe are all from Vegan Treats. Décor/Ambience: 100% casual. Space is shared with the Hummus store so the whole store is divided into half. But I think if you want to eat hummus and burgers at the same time you are free to. Service: order at the counter and pay up front, then the food is brought to you/pick up at the counter? I went when it first opened so I am not sure if that changed since the crowds started getting bigger when I passed by the other day. Overall– great place for a quick vegan fast food bite! It is more on the decadent/indulgent side especially if you choose the fried options. Prices are very reasonable and Vburger is conveniently located near Union square.

The food and the people who work here are AMAZING. I came in when it was very slow and so I really got to spend a lot of time chatting with the owner and a few people working behind the counter. Everyone was so kind and helped me pick out exactly what I wanted to eat(the Unchicken was AMAZING.) They even threw in some fries and a donut for free! Amazing customer service and vegan food to die for. They’ve definitely made a repeat customer out of me. Going back for dinner tonight!

I came here for the launch and got myself the black bean GF burger. I asked the cashier which her fav was and she said she hadn’t tasted any yet. I feel like if you’re a new spot, everyone working there should know what everything tastes like. Then again, I’m no restaurateur. I was really psyched to try this but hadn’t realized this was vegan«fast food style». It came wrapped in the same type of foil Burger King would use(I have no issues with that), slapped together and also added a side of fries which totaled $ 12+. The sweet potato fries were crunchy but ultra greasy. I found the burger to be quite dry and I left here wishing I’d gotten a hummus platter instead. So… I went down the street to the deli and got a $ 4 side of snap peas, broccoli and peppers. I’m vegan and I felt really unsatisfied and all day a bit gross from all the grease. This is however, the perfect place to hit up on your way home after being out for after work drinks. It’s 100% drunk food. Considering they’re known for their burgers I tried that but I’ll give their salads a shot next time. *AMEX not accepted

I am so happy there are now three vegan restaurants in the Union Square Area. First Angelica Kitchen, then Blossom Du Jour, and now VBurger! I attended the grand opening at night around 8pm. They already sold out of a lot of items from the menu. I really wanted the slider sampler so I could have a taste of each one but they also sold out of it. Since they sold out I ordered the un-chikn Gardein patty sandwich and a Green Coconut Tea. My Un-chikn sandwich was so good I didn’t even wait to take a picture like I usually do. The outer part of the patty was crispy deep fried breaded patty of the Gardein protein. Inside was thick and almost shredded like but held together well. The mayo was slathered on the bun nicely and filled with some crispy lettuce leaves. The Green Tea was also good with hints of coconut and perfect to wash down my quick bites of my burger. Service was ok, but I can’t judge yet since it was opening night and everyone looked frazzled from a crazy full day. They were out of stock on things like tops to my cup, paper napkins and also those sliders that I’m craving! I’m wanting to go back now for more! Can’t wait for the next visit. If you are in the Union Square area you must give them a try. They share a space with Hummus Pita Co.

Wow! What a great find by Union Square… They were giving out samples and I peaked in to my surprise this gem of a place. Being a Vegan it’s not easy to find a great burger let alone with onion rings and a delicious coconut based vanilla shake! Great job guys… I’ll be back
