Veteran’s Day Parade

Who doesn’t love a parade?! This parade is one that is fun and respectful. I like to go to show my support for every branch of the service. Veterans from every where and every branch are represented. Besides you see men and women in uniform! There’s music playing the old favorites too. If you haven’t been you should attend at least once. As for me, it’s scary how their faces appear younger and younger…

Veterans Day. I was never interested or knew they even had a parade to commemorate this day since its so underrated in the media. After having joined the army this year, I am very happy that I took part and marched at the parade because it’s really a once in a lifetime experience/​opportunity and made me feel proud (despite the freezing cold weather ad the long waits before the parade started)
One thing that I want to note is that I just wish civilians can truly acknowledge the military servicemen and appreciate the day a lot more since America wouldn’t be safe and secure from foreign or domestic enemies without these people. Let the servicemen know you appreciate them with a simple saying like a ‘thank you’ as they walk by you on the streets on this day or even during or after the parade. It might not seem much but trust me, they appreciate it a lot and will continue to protect this greay nation from evil and fight for freedom.
