Am I in Naples? A glass of prosecco for brunch, just handed to me pre ordering? Yes please! The boys that work here are bellissimo. Don’t touch, all mine. No seriously, HOT pizza coming out of a legit oven. So good I begged them to broaden their delivery zone on seamless. Thank me later.

Was on a self guided 5 were looking for south Brooklyn which was impossible to find, we settled on Via Della Pace which was really chill, a free glass of proseco! Good music(not too loud, my pet peeve) just beer and wine which is ok, the owner is from Italy with his mom from Haiti. As the tour was for slices we ordered a small marguerita pizza to split. It was cooked at 750 degrees in a wood fired oven, it was quite good. Really good crust, tasty sauce and cheese.

Heart warming place. Table next to us having loud convo in Italiano with the BOSS who took great care of us from start to finish. Tagliere Di Salumi e formaggi Italian worth trying as it had melt in your mouth ricotta cheese. Loved how the prosciutto had right amount of salt. As for pizzas tried the spinach and squid ink base pizzas which were alright. Spinach was a disappointment because it was rather bland… Squid ink was more promising as one can’t go wrong with smoked salmon, capers, and shallots. Panna cotta on the house and Tiramisu in a pot craved our sweet tooth. Would go back.

Oh Unilocal, how nice that you allow transplants and friends to review, and how silly of me to have fallen for such a tactic. The experience was a Holy disappointment. Got 3 pizzas, and while everyone at the table was pretty famished, we were all highly disappointed by the quality of the pizzas. The sauce was bland, the ingredients were amateurly prepared, tossed, and handled, and the crust was really not very good, not to mention got real soggy… real quick.(Imagine how bad the pizza had to be when 3 hungry pple did not like it) Also as an eggplant lover, I detested what was put on my pizza.(How do u not cook eggplant correctly?) Was this the worst pizza, I’ve ever had? No far from it, but this was the worst expensive pizza I’ve ever consumed. The pizza also doesn’t resemble many of the Unilocal photos, and the olive they gave was not extra virgin, and much like the pizza lacked body and flavour. The choco salami was good, much better than the pizza. On the plus side, the server is great, and the coffee is wonderful. Heard that Marco Belinelli is an investor, which is disappointment, cause I was a fan of his before I had food at this place. Stick to basketball, and not the restaurant biz.

Crispy and thin pizzas are those I like it! Ingredients are fresh and you can choose 2 different sized pizzas. I’m Italian so the smaller size is perfect just for myself. I also tried the cannelloni and the sauce reminded me of the one my grandma used to make. Don’t forget to try Le zoccolette… Fried pizza Dough filled with Nutella. Service is fast and they really do take care of you!

I had some friends visiting just for the weekend from California. The last time they were in town they wanted pizza… same thing this time around. So, I Unilocaled, found this place and figured we would give it a shot! I made a reservation for 6 people on a Friday night at 8pm, no problem. Unfortunately, one person cancelled last minute, but they had no problem seating us and it was right next to where they make the pizza. It was warm, cozy, smelled amazing and the staff was a bunch of characters. Just good fun with lots of personality. They gave us a complimentary appetizer pizza on the house to get us started. It has 8 slices and ¼ of the pie(2 slices each) were something different. All tomato based and 2 slices had a bunch of olives. Another two slices had a delicious dollop of pollenta on top. Another two slices had a dollop of ricotta and then I can’t remember the last one? I am pretty sure the pizza was service almost chilled? I don’t even remember, but it was unexpected and DELISH. We had already placed our order and it doesn’t take too long for them to cook these thin crust pies, but they timed everything really nicely in order for us to really enjoy our meal. We ordered two salads to start with — the Prati Salad the Circo Massimo. The prati salad was pretty basic, but good fresh. And Circo Massimo had a great dressing and some crispy fried pieces of parmesan cheese mixed in with a light dressing. For 5 people we ordered 5 normal sized pizzas and it was the perfect amount for a hungry crew drinking lots of wine: Margarita — Classic way to judge a pizza place and it was so tasty 4 Stagioni — Also very good, and interestingly presented like 4 different seasons on the pie, so much like our appetizer pizza it was divided into 4 different pizza tastes. Brie e spek — HOLYCRAPTHISWASSOGOOD Otone — the Gorgonzola was a really nice punch of flavor. The fifth pizza we ordered was their special. For the life of me I cannot remember what it was, but I can assure you there was not a single slice of any of the pies left when we were finished. The Brie pizza was perhaps the best and most interesting of the bunch. To top it all off, they surprised us yet again with their nutella dessert pizza. It was REAL heavy on the nutella… and maybe could have used some strawberries? BUT when someone generously gifts your table a nutella pizza… one does not complain, one simply eats it with a huge smile. At the end of the night the waiter, owner, host, magical italian wizard(?) Gave everyone at our table a little ticket for a free shot at their partner restaurant around the corner. Unfortunately we were too stuffed to take advantage, but it was still another awesome part of the night. NYC has a lot of awesome pizza places to try and this gem should definitely be on your list. Food, ambiance and service were fabulous, satisfying and fun.

Perhaps the best pizza I have tried in NYC! My favorite is the Vespiano. Service is timely and friendly. Definitely recommend this cool spot in the East Village.

Pizza was excellent. Very delicious. Ordering it could have been a little easier. Seemed to take a lot of button pushing(or screen tapping) to order a pizza with one topping. I actually wanted two toppings and asked for them when I ordered but by the time the guy finally got that input and showed me the receipt I saw he’d only put one topping on. It was not worth the extra effort to go back and add the other topping. Also, it took 20 minutes for the pizza(which was fine) but he said it would only be 10 so after ordering I came back 10 minutes later and had to wait another 10 minutes. It would be better to just say«It will be 20 minutes» and then I’ll come back then. Also, the pizza wasn’t round but sort of misshapen, like a football or Stewie’s head from«The Family Guy» But really great pizza. Very delicious.

I have been here with my girlfriend two weeks ago(spoiler alert: we are two picky italians when it comes to food) and we could not have been happier with this place! First of all, it is authentic: it does not look as many of the other«fake» Italian places around NYC. The owners are italian, the waiters are italian, the«pizzaiolo» is italian and it is quite clear that they know their stuff quite well. The pizza was indeed amazing at could easily compete with very good places in Italy: that’s truly something I found rarely true about«italian» pizza in the US. Moreover, they also have delicious desserts. There’s not much more to say about this place, it just makes you fell at home.

This place is fantastic! Awesome pizza with the perfect crust, nice cozy vibe, great beer, and awesome employees. The busser Carlos had such a jolly attitude and was super helpful in bringing us extra sauce and other things we needed for our meal. Hope the bussers here also get tips since they work so hard to get the pizzas out while they’re still piping hot and clearing away dishes so quickly.

A little Rome in NYC. The place recently opened so there are lost of small details that could be improved such as the menu design or the silverware placement. I am confident they will fix these details soon! However the quality of the food and the quality of service completely outshadow its biggest Italian rivals! Let’s start with the food. As an appetizer we had a suppli and mozzarilini(authentic and delicious Italian appetizer) and tuna tartar. We finished up with two delicious pizza, one with Prosciutto de san daniel and Fior di latte(premium prosciutto and mozzarella) and the other with sopressada. They were just delicious, thin and crispy dough garnished with quality product! When it comes to the service, it was even better than the food. The waiters were always really attentive. When they saw I was getting cold they turned off the air conditioner. Also they offered us two glasses of wine, the delicious tiramisu and to finish up two free shots in their branch bar. We had a blast! I can’t wait to come back again: D Via Della pace, aka peace of your stomach and mind

DELIZIOSO! This is the best pizza I’ve ever eaten, period. The margherita is my all time favorite, highly recommended! I visit Via Della periodically and each time I go I receive amazing, consistent service, delicious pizza and tasty drinks. Speaking of drinks, do order the Spritz. I’ve had many versions around the city and this one is truly authentic and served the right way. Great atmosphere for a date, hanging out with your friends or kicking it solo.

Uh so a few things– I’ve decided after this particular visit that I don’t like white pizza and will avoid it now going forward at all costs. We split two large pies among three people– which was kind of a mistake given that we had nearly an entire pizza left over towards the end, so it very filling overall. The problem was in our choice of pizzas. Our first choice was a red called Salamino Piccante. It had a good deal of sauce and some spicy meat accents to spruce up the overall taste. This was fine. The second pizza is where we went wrong– got the Caligulo… which I take to be either a misspelled version of Caligula a la famous Roman emperor or perhaps that’s just the actual Italian spelling of Caligula. Anyway, the point is, it was a white pizza and it was very very bland. I didn’t like it and neither did the other two friends. I also find it incredibly difficult to justify charging $ 16−18/$ 22 – 24 for pizza because at the end of the day, you’re taking very basic ingredients and presenting it in different ways. Let’s be honest: it doesn’t take much to make a good pizza. The waiter was nice enough to comp us a soppy panna cotta after knocking my friend’s head accidentally. …so that was nice. Oh and as for some of the reviews on here, I didn’t actually see ITALIAN chefs as advertised in Michel’s review. They were Mexicans, as per usual, and they made delicious pizza. I’d argue that if taught correctly, Mexicans can probably and do probably make much better tasting pizza than Italians. …So I have no idea why that was supposed to be an added bonus.

This place is excellent. My boyfriend and I used to come here when it was Falanghina and were hesitant that it wouldn’t live up to our expectations but it totally surpassed them. The staff is unbelievably attentive and friendly, shout out to Valentina! The food is of course delicious, especially the rice balls. We were also given a delicious dessert on the house. Lastly, the bathroom is so clean and smells amazing, which is always a plus and hard to come by in NYC. Definitely will be back here with family and friends!

Unbelievable! The best pizza we’ve ever had in years! The 2 chefs are absolutely ITALIAN, NOT Italian-american, and that makes a HUGE difference! If you want to taste THEREAL, AUTHENTIC pizza, you better go there! Plus, we ordered pasta as well… Maltagliati with gorgonzola and walnuts… I closed my eyes and I thought I was in a very fancy restaurant in Brera, Milan. Last but not least: the TIRAMISU’ served in a earthenware jar with mint leaves… as if you were getting a little plant as a gift. Let me say it again: UNBELIEVABLE!

VDP Pizza is one of the best new restaurants to pop up in the East Village in some time. The food and ambience make it a perfect location for a date or for a get-together with friends. In terms of food, the restaurant offers a wide selection of authentic Roman-style pizzas that will satisfy both traditional and adventurous palates. I tried the margherita pie along with one of their specials(pizza with smoked salmon and lemon zest). Both were outstanding! I was dreaming about the salmon one for a week after! Expert tip: Though it might seem nearly impossible, save room for dessert! The tiramisu comes served in an adorable clay flower pot and the flavor most certainly lives up to the presentation.
