Atmosphere and music were great! Bartender was attentive and helpful in ordering some custom drinks. Come here, AVOID Sweet & Vicious across the street.

Great local bar, if you live in the area this is a good place to go especially if you are a large group looking for good drinks music and some space. Bouncer and bartenders are really nice too!

Cost: $ 6/beer Vibes: 4⁄5 Low-key, Hip Décor: Cozy Location: 4⁄5 I’ve always had a great time at Vig Bar. I went in last night; Welcome to America was playing on the TV and there was a Late 90’s early 2000’s rap playlist on. That mixed with the cozy corners here and there to tuck into make this a great place to bring whoever you’re with. Eh, anyone not related to you. Friday/Saturday it gets the party crowds. They can be fun when it’s not packed. Sun-Thurs you can’t go wrong with Vig! Trust me!

When it is too crowded, it is not so fun. But when it’s reasonably crowded it’s hella fun. The music here is awesome. Really great. What I liked about this place was that the bouncers were really up front and friendly. Bar staff was fast and they have a good beer selection.

Went on Halloween. Bar was very packed, but still somehow managed to keep a cool vibe. Drinks we’re pretty fairly priced, Manhattanly speaking. Music choices were great and the bartenders were cool.

Vig Bar is the spot! Not usually too crowded, great happy hour specials($ 5 well drinks, $ 3 beers, $ 6 margaritas), good music and a spacious back room no one ever seems to go to.

Alot smaller than I expected, unless we just didn’t make it to another area of the bar. The blonde bartender working that night was awesome though. She was super helpful and made an delicious fruity drink for me when they ran out of malibu.

Came here for a birthday soirée. It’s a nice little watering hole and the drinks were made well. I had a «Whiskey River Take My Mind» from their specialty cocktails before switching to beer and a Jameson. They only serve drinks so eat before or after going there. Nice ambiance/space but if you’re in the seating areas it could feel a little dark depending on your threshold for light. The music selection was the highlight for me. They played a lot of original soul classics that were sampled in popular hip-hop tracks. It’s a safe bet for a decent drink.

I was just there, ordered a budweiser. My boyfriend went to wipe the bottle’s mouth to drink from it and his hand got deeply cut! Because the bottle’s mouth was chipped. They didn’t even notice? They gave us napkins and a napkin drenched in vodka to «clean it up!!!» The bartender underacted, the busboy told us to do whatever the«fuck» we wanted when I asked for the manager. This place is disgusting, Irresponsible, and unhygenic. It should not even get 1 star. Avoid this place at all costs!!! If you’re the manager and you read this, you should contact us with an apology at least. Is just bad business, you should know better than to run a joint like that.

Excellent atmosphere! I’ve been here twice, and have been treated like a friend both times. One of the most important things about a bar to me is feeling welcome. I will most definitely return for a night cap. The bartenders here are funny and great to chat with!

Had my birthday party hear– it was fun. Music was solid(90’s hip hop/top hits). It gets super packed though. So i’d try to get there early if you want to avoid a huge crowd

This place can definitely be crowded and you may have to wait for a drink, but I love it and come here when I want to dance! They have a great D.J. and somehow my thirty-something year old friends in the middle of a younger crowd, always create a dance space and love it.

Stopped by for happy hour before dinner. We tried a few of their speciality cocktails($ 8) which were just okay. After our two rounds, we decided to go to the restaurant(where we had dinner reservations) and drink at the bar instead.

Wasn’t too crazy about this spot, it was like a mini club. The front of the bar is PACKED. Packed to the point where there is no space to relax or even hold your drink without fear of spilling it everywhere. Moving to the back of this place its like a club VIP area. There were couches and people standing up on every couch dancing and singing. There were bottles on every table I was shocked. This is not particularly my scene anymore. I like to keep it more low key and play the bar but this place is like a bar and club in one! The female bartender at the bar was very snotty. Not only was she snotty but she couldn’t take more than 2 drink orders at a time which is okay I can understand if she was flustered but in that case you should be friendlier. So now your rude and your not on point when I want to order 6 drinks at one time?! Anyhow the music was great. I definitely enjoyed what the DJ was playing. Im not opposed to this place but wouldn’t be running back either!

2 stars were for the cool music, and the awesome women servers/bartenders. The lack of stars for the over priced, watered down drinks, and a really rude male bartender. I pointed to an empty can on the bar and said«what kind of beer is that?» He responded by saying«its a beer.» When I asked«what type» He responded«Cant you read?» Mind you it was at the other side of the bar and it was too dark to make out the name. I found this extremely rude… regardless if you are at a fancy spot, dive, or middle of the road, respect shouldn’t cost anything. I spent good money and even tipped when asking for waters for my girlfriend and I. Being someone who has relations in the F&B industry, I always leave 20−25%(20% being the min for sub par service). I understand how tough it can be in the industry… but again there is no need to scare people from buying drinks. Tipped the guy anyways… wont be going there again. There is too many options to have to want to deal with attitudes like that.

my friends and I come here a lot. I mean a lot. for coming here a lot, we are generally reward with great service. and that makes this bar that much more friendly. we recently spent new years here and had a great time in the back room which we had rented. a really proper new years’ it does get crowded in here as it’s not a really large place, and to me that make is much more endearing.

It’s pure accident that I appear to be a regular /the duchess of this place. It just happens to be in the stomping ground radius of my cousin’s apt and has never been too crowded to stop thru for a quick dance on the two Fri nights I’ve been. First, there’s no door drama, which would be ludicrous for the venue and area. Second, the drinks are not too pricey. But to be honest, I can’t remember if I’ve ever paid for my own yet here, so fellas will have to chime in for themselves on that regard. Third, the music isn’t noticeably amazing, but it ain’t half bad, and so I always end up getting into a few songs before the crew decides to move on to the next venue. They play like top 40 hits from my college years(mid-00s) with some random old school MJ and such thrown in, which for me is nostalgia-central. Ladies, I haven’t found a good place to stash purses and jackets other than the seating areas, so keep the tote-ables to a minimum. On the bright side, the dudes have outnumbered the ladies whenever I’ve gone on Fri nights, so place your bets!
