My over enthusiastic sales person Ben, was helpful and patient with me when I came into the store. In his greeting, he told me they were having a buy one get one half off sale. Because of him I went to buy one pair of shorts and walked out happy with two.

I love the Volcom Store. Volcom is a favorite of my son, who has a Volcom snowboard, and wears their casual pants for work, Volcom coat, Volcom thermal, Volcom socks… So our house is everything Volcom. The thing is, this store is not in Times Square, even, imagine that! When I visited NYC in 2008 for my job, ths store wasn’t there. I don’t really think Volcom is in Chinatown, but closer to the edge of Soho… whatever. I went to buy my son a New York Volcom shirt, and asked to see the suits. Eventually, he will have one. I was surprised by the hesitation of the girl at the counter. I’m sure I knew more about the suits(dress suits for men) than she did. That doesn’t matter. This store is everything Volcom, and it’s one of few in the United States. I ended up revisiting the store and buying both New York specific t shirts and the grey Volcom belt. I knew what belt to buy him before the employee pointed them out I took pictures in the store, and will post them when I get home. Pretty cool place to shop. I will always visit it when I am in the area… but one thing, there is a step just outside the front of the store, and it can be easily missed.

I’m a big fan of Volcom and always enjoy shopping at this location. They have a great selection from the line and the prices are reasonable. Staff is o.k., I don’t expect much from young people working at a store but they do try to help you out. Not as nice as the Tokyo store(it has a half pipe inside of it!) but still a nice shop and location.

You know walking along Broadway there are so many over the top, «Ka-ching» Stores. I guess we’d walked past this place 4 or 5 times, but it caught our eye on our last day in the city and well, what the hell lets take a look… And it’s like not over the top ridiculous… whoa… And they’ve got some cool skateboard tee’s, and find a few to bring back as local souvenirs. Start talking to this guy in the store, «Tony» the Regional Manager(?) from Orange Co. and so laid back(nice talking to another Cali dude). Find out there’s a store in Berkeley… so close by were we live… sweet. The guy behind the counter friendly laid back, kind of a not so NYC in NYC… yeah…I liked it.

Sigh, why must you close so early Volcom of Boardway New York? all I want is the same damn sherpa lined sweater that the bf has because it’s so freaking warm and even though he keeps buying me other warm large sweaters it’s NOTTHESAME. This store is pretty small actually, but I’m so psyched to find there’s one in Santa Barbara as I’m going there later this year. Maybe I will have one more try at the sweater dreams are made out of.

This Volcom store is just as big as the one at Santa Barbara, CA. The employees were nice but they don’t know much about the clothing they were selling. My boyfriend asked them for some pair of pants named after some skater and the salesperson didn’t even know they had it. He found it himself. ps: I loved the Volcom NY shirt they sell and I bought one to wear in L.A. ps2: I know, I know… I am a sucker for NY!

So glad we have a Volcom on the East Coast now! Such a great place to pick up comfy graphic tees and hoodies. I’m can’t wait to check their upcoming snowboarding line which should come out in September but I will definitely be back before then to pickup some more casual tees! Happy Shopping!
