Went with a Groupon and ordered two wake up grumpies. Saw in the picture it had scallions on it. Told the person who took my order no scallions. My husband hates onions or any thing in the onion family. Order was ready so I double checked with the person who made them and he said no scallions. We began to eat and my husband said he tasted onions. I told him no I told them no scallions. So he removed the arugula because he thought that was the wierd taste and continued to eat. He still said it tasted wierd and started to pull apart the second waffle… and the scallions were MIXEDINTOTHEBATTEROFTHEWAFFLE. I showed it to the cook and all they said was«oh». Are they not aware of what they are serving? Additionally they egg that is pictured is a poached egg and the egg they serve is a runny sunny side up egg. I didn’t arrive grumpy, but I sure left grumpy.

I wanted to love this place, but I didn’t. The hot chocolate was way too sweet for me and the waffle wasn’t great. To be fair, I forgot to mention that I wanted the Brussels waffle, so when I ordered«waffle,» they gave me the liege one. I’m not a fan of chewy, soft waffles and would have preferred the crispy one. However, this was my fault, so I will give them another chance and come back to try the Brussels one.

Food: I brought the waffled and ice cream and that great great chocolate sauce. It is quickly made. The waffles are big enough to constitute a lunch meal and the ice cream will melt fast so eat quick! I love this combo though and once you have a craving of waffles then this is the place to go. Make sure to have napkins because they are messy to eat at times.

I debated on wether to call the store directly or leave a Unilocal review… Obviously I decided to leave it here; I want potential customers to be aware of this issue until, hopefully, they change it. Today, I stopped in quickly to get a coffee. I noticed«maple latte» written on the board, and it sounded delicious. The price listed on BOTH giant menu boards inside was $ 4.65. While waiting for my order, it dawned on me that I paid $ 5.50. I’m not a math wizard, but I know that’s a lot more tax % than NY’s 8.75%.(I hope the numbers don’t get removed– if they do, just know I was charged about one dollar extra). I, politely, asked the male cashier why the price was different and was IMMEDIATELY met with the most rude attitude and some snide remark about the computer system having a different price and that there was«nothing [he] could do about it». I was in a hurry, so I didn’t have time to really get into it with him– all I said was he should probably get a piece of chalk and change the board. But anyway, that’s incredibly bad business. I hope they’re not doing this intentionally, and I just encountered a really rude employee. Either way, it shouldn’t have happened the way it did. I hate posting this over less than one dollar, but it’s the principal of the thing. It makes me wonder if they’re slowly scamming everyone… And no, I didn’t get my money back. One good thing, the latte was pretty delicious.

I had the pleasure of enjoying this food truck while they were in providence for a tasting event. I had a couple different waffles, my favorite with the speculoos. They are definitely not the typical American waffles we are used to. They have heavy, flavorful, and crunchy. What a treat! There was such a long line, but it was worth it. I only wish they weren’t situated in New York :-(

Ordered online for delivery a serving of two-piece waffles. It was very clear in my order statement that I ordered TWO pieces, yet they delivered just one piece. On top of that, it took forever for my ordered to be delivered. I called this location countless times to inquire about refund or for them to deliver my correct order, but nobody was picking up.

A very colorful, cute place that seemed to be a popular hang out spot for children, when we arrived. The cashier was patient and offered free dinges samples. The paintings and décor paired well with the food, environment and young customers. They have a large selection of sweet and savory waffles. Their drinks menu is also great and we tried the Nutella, banana shake. This place was right across from the Cornerstone café, which also serves waffles. However, this is the spot to go since their specialty is waffles and they have a much wider variety, to satisfy your craving. They have nice gift sets available, such as packs of dinges. The seats and tables here may be small, but it is still a chill and laid back place for a sweet or savory bite and casual conversation.

I’m going to put a 4⁄5 because it was THEONLYPLACEOPENEDFORTHANKSGIVING. I felt bad that the employees worked but on the other hands i didn’t want to have a $ 90 menu brunch on thanksgiving. The employees who worked on that day were very sweet! I was not looking to eat waffles but was very happy with that. Waffles are amazing. They are well baked. I will come back’

Mmmmm… I just wanna get drunk and eat waffles… When you first walk in it smells like love… So basically I’m a hopeless romantic when it comes to waffles… and the fresh warm smell of coffee and vanilla just warms your soul… Pretty good waffles! somewhat pricey for just waffles… but it worth every penny… so fresh and tasteful! They’re Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream… their savory salmon waffles… Yum… the owner makes pretty good waffles… and i was never a big fan of waffles to begin with… this place seriously changed my taste buds… the area is inventing… lots of space… easy… fast and quick services… yes there is a bathroom and yes there are plenty of outlets!

I become giddy over this place. I’ve loved Wafels & Dinges ever since I first tried it from one of their food trucks scattered around the city. I was overjoyed when I discovered that they opened a Wafels & Dings brick and mortar store in one of my favorite parts of the city. I’ll admit, this waffle joint does come off as a big hype, but I think it deserves to be. I’ve never had a waffle where I savored every bite. I remember ordering a waffle with strawberries and nutella. I almost died it was so mouthwateringly good. Overall, it’s a cute and cozy shop that’s clean and comfortable to sit and eat at. I cannot wait till I get another chance to bite into another one of Wafels & Dinges waffles.

Chicken and waffles — both were made really well, but not mind-blowing /you won’t crave it in the long game, but it won’t disappoint when you’re hungry/tipsy(hipsy?) Good place if you’re hungry and stumbling upon it, but absolutely would not go out of my way for it

Saw it on travel channel and had to try it out. Decided to start with the basics before upgrading. Ordered the dessert waffle with spekullos sprinkled with powdered sugar. I was pleasantly surprised with the spekuloos. Its a caramel spread that went very well with the waffle. i personally don’t think there is a need to add on fruit or other ingredients(well maybe just chocolate.)to the waffle. I just like it plain. Only complaint is the price and wait was pretttyy long. I can see why everyone likes it but I’m not sure if its worth the wait and at that price.

The first thing I noticed when I came in was the dozen or so waffles on a cooling rack on the counter. Not steaming, nobody attending the waffle maker… not freshest of fresh. It concerned me, but I was already there so I figured there was no turning back. I ordered the bacon and syrup waffle — got it a few minutes later. Bacon was a little burnt but maybe on purpose; the smoky flavor actually went really well with the syrup. The waffle itself though, was not my favorite. It was really dense and heavy, in addition to too much syrup on top make the entire ordeal really taxing. I had heard good things about Wafels and Dinges and wanted a liege waffle I could consume via breathing! Alas, not the one. The search goes on.

Yummy waffles, open late, what more can you want. I usually get my waffle with Nutella, banana, and whipped cream. It’s the perfect size and it’s always so good! I think I could have one of these everyday! The place is also very spacious and the service was great.

A wonderful Belgian waffle dessert experience, but rather pricey for what it is. Can’t speak for the savory wafels or even the rest of the desserts, but just saying I can get this exact same thing(minus a few jimmies) down the street at Mikey Likes It for half the price(#MacDaddy #DaddyMac). That said, I ordered a liege wafel with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Add nutella, walnuts, whipped cream, and fresh bananas and strawberries. The combination of all these things was naturally simple, yet wonderful and cost me $ 15 and some change. I’ll complain about the price, but it was so delicious that I couldn’t delay taking several bites before snapping a quick picture. I don’t know that I’d come back again just because of the pricing, but if it doesn’t bother you and you’re in the mood for a sweet(ish) treat, grab a wafel and add some dinge delicious to it.

If this place were named after my reviews, they’d have to change it to «Waffling & D**k-jokes.» I may be prone to verbal diatribe and childish humour(if you can call it humour), but at least I’m self-aware. Then again, they said Leopold of Belgium was self-aware, and that didn’t help him much. Speaking of which, we did an online poll of «sexiest somewhat feminine actors» and Leo-polled highest. DiCaprio that is. So on with the review. What to get: Liege Waffle with Spekuloos. What the f*** is Spekuloos: It’s when you can’t find your glasses. Duh. And what else: Well, the Spekuloos Ice Cream is pretty amazing too. What’s the difference between a Liege Waffle and the other kind?: Well, the other kind are good, but this one is in a Liege of its own. But this is in America, not Belgium: I know. And much like ‘Murca, if you don’t like it, then why don’t you liege. If this place were frequented by ducks rather than humans, and was also really dirty inside, then it’d be called«Waddles & Dingy.» Whereas if I had a bright idea(lightbulb switches on above my head, cartoon style) about time travelling, then it’d be «Wormholes & Ding!» I won’t go on and on about these waffles. I’ll just tell you straight away: these are by far the best waffles I’ve ever had in the United States. I’m not a huge waffle fan, but when I go to Belgium, I fall in love with the taste of the dense, sticky, orgasmic Liege Waffles, perfected at Maison Dandoy in Brussels. Well these may not be on the MD level, but these are the closest thing you will ever find in North America, that’s for sure. They taste a lot more Belgian than they do American, and that is a very, very good thing. People ask why I’m so attracted to Borat. I think it was his«Onesies & Dimples.» It must be that because it ain’t his face. He’s a tip drill. Adding the Spekuloos just takes it through the roof. It’s a Gingerbread Spread(think Nutella, but even more addictive), which comes — of course — from Belgium. Also known as Belgique(French) or Belgie(Flemish). Flemish is basically like Dutch, but a Belgian version of it. The country is split between the two languages. The French speakers are known as Walloons. But history and geography lessons aside, Belgium really does make the best waffles on earth, and these Liege Wafles with Spekuloos really are the closest thing to the real thing you can get over here. If you’re in a «linen cleaning contest» make sure you get the linens *absolutely* clean. Because if there’s a tiny bit of dirt, even a little speck of dust, you lose. This concept is known as «Speck-u-lose.» Not only am I obsessed with them(and I’m not even a waffle fan), but everyone I’ve ever taken here, fell in love with them too. They’re sticky and gooey and hot and sexy. They’re heavenly and divine and delectable and filling too. You can split one with someone since they’re heavy, and they’re not too expensive either. I’m not sure whether there are any illegal drugs in the Spekuloos. I’d rather not Spekulate. As I said, get the amazing Spekuloos all over them, and be aware that they also have Spekuloos(Gingerbread) Ice Cream here which is absolutely divine as well. They’re open extremely late(usually until 11 or Midnight or later, but it seems to vary and they do close a bit before the posted time). They’re on a lovely little street corner in a cute part of Manhattan just north of Houston St and not far from Sunny & Annie’s 24 Hour Korean Deli(which is amazing too — I just reviewed it). Oh and you know that movie, Star Trek III: The Search For Spock? Well in Belgium, that movie was known as «Spock-u-lost.» If you come to Manhattan, you simply must make it a point to stop in here and try a Liege Waffle with Spekuloos. It may just be one of the best desserts you will ever consume in America. If I have a whole bunch of girls asking to be spanked, then I’d rather save the best for last, honey. And since you’re the best, that means I’m going to «Spankulast.» Wafles & Dinges. Get here. Be amazed. Although if it were my 2 favourite things to get in back alleys in Chinatown, then it’d be «Won-Ton & D**k.» Ooh I just turned myself on.

It took me far too long to finally make it to the wafels and dinges storefront, I’ve been a huge fan of their trucks since I was in high school and I got super hyped when I heard they were opening a store… but life got in the way and it took me until now to get here :( The wait was definitely worth it though! I split an wake up grumpy waffle and the smores waffle with a friend. The wake up grumpy one is basically a beautiful egg sandwich with waffles as the bun, cheese interlaced in there with a baby omelette and some greens in between. This was amazing, definitely a beautiful upgrade from the truck waffles. I like all the savory concepts they have in store! The smores waffle was just as beautiful but less surprising: marshmallows, chocolate sauce & spekuloos spread. This made it similar to something you could order from the truck but it was relaxing to eat slowly while sitting in their café atmosphere! As a wafels lover 4lyf(lol), I definitely want to come back :)!

I remembered how happy and anxious I was to try this place out when the chain finally decided to open a brick and mortar store. There are food Waffles and Dinges food trucks scattered throughout the city at popular tourist attractions and when this place opened, I was excited to try it. The store is brightly lit and the staff are friendly. Don’t be afraid to ask for suggestions. There’s also more varieties of different waffles and topping at the store as opposed to the cart(I should know, because I literally ordered my waffle with every topping offered). There’s an abundance of seats and is a great place to just sit and eat dessert. Oh, and they’re also open late. Would I come back? Sure! Also, I attended a panel in my school in which the CEO came and spoke about start up businesses. She’s a pretty laid back woman who started the business in Belgium with her husband.

Here is another place I will totally recommend everytime I am in New York. This is my first time at the actual store, the other times was at the carts. I got the chicken and gravy waffle and de WMD with unlimited dinges… UNLIMITED. Yes please. Strawberries, bananas, whipped cream, Belgian choco fudge, nutella, spekuloos, and spekuloos ice cream! It was big enough for 2 people. Afterwards I was pretty full.

Got a great groupon deal: two savory waffles, two ice cream cones, and two drinks for $ 24.95. We swapped out the cones for drinks of equal or lesser value. Pros: — Super nice people working behind the counter! — Loved the décor, great spot to chat — Both the chicken gravy waffle and salmon waffle was great — they come in pretty big portions so it’s good to have a friend to share the food with! — The regular and vanilla chai latte tasted great, but it might be too sweet after eating their signature dish — Their signature dish(the dish that won against Bobby Flay) was too sweet for my taste but the texture was very interesting — For the groupon deal: you can get almost any drink, such as beer, wine, coffee, etc…
