I love this practice. The work they do, fascial manipulation, is working for me. I suffer from post-​surgical pain — two years after disc replacement surgery (XLIF at L3-​L4). And these treatments, though expensive and not covered much by my insurance, are keeping me out of pain. I like the people a lot, too. I hate that it’s on the east side, but you can’t have everything. I highly recommend Dr. Winnick and his staff.

I don’t think there is s better Chiropractor/​Sports Specialist out there and I have seen a LOT of doctors in my life. The pressure treatments are admittedly painful but the results are blissful. He doesn’t just adjust your back. In fact, he is not a typical chiropractor in that he adjusts after he works on the spots via deep tissue. He listens to your needs and really focuses on the problem at hand and the long-​term effects.
I have two herniated disks in my back that slip at random times and Dr. Winnick has worked with me so diligently and attentively to get me back to my best and has succeeded. I thought, at one point, I would need surgery but with time, patience and following Dr. Winnick’s professional advice, he has healed my back and avoided my having to go under the knife.
He is the ONLY doctor I have ever heard admit when he can’t do something or can’t help and when he feels a different doctor is necessary to see. Hence, He won’t work on you just for the sake of making a buck. One definitely cannot say that about many doctors these days.
As busy as he and his office is, they are always on-​time and schedule appointments incredibly efficiently and are extremely accommodating. The staff is great. They are kind, compassionate and are so helpful with confusing paperwork and insurance. They always do their best to get you in if you are in dire need and have rarely not been able to work things out for me during emergencies.
I swear by Dr. Winnick and his staff and wouldn’t trust anyone else to working on my back, neck, or any other bone in my body. Dr. Winnick is by far the best in the biz and I recommend him with the highest accolades!

I’d been suffering from shoulder pain due to frozen shoulder for several months and had a few bad/​useless experiences with other doctors, osteopaths, and physical therapists in the past.
After my first visit with Dr. Winnick, I was already certain that I had found the right doctor. He and his associates and staff are incredibly professional, helpful, kind, and beyond skilled. I am so grateful to have found this place and would recommend to anyone in an instant.

Dr. Winnick saved me! Let me start by saying I have always been a skeptic of chiropractors, and made an appointment upon a recommendation from a friend who said that Dr. Wayne Winnick cured him of his constant, severe hip pain, 9+ years post hip replacement that NO orthopedist, physical therapist. chiropractor or masseuse could help with. Not only did Dr. Winnick and his staff zero in on the cause of my debilitating lower back pain and alleviate it, but also miraculously «fixed» my bad knee that constantly gave me pain and prevented me from being the athlete that I am. Dr. Winnick’s approach to sports medicine and pain relief is unparalleled to any orthopedist and physical therapist I have ever worked with! They are hands down, THE BEST!

Winnick is arrogant and spent almost no time with me. After 3 sessions there was no improvement so I suggested that my neck pain might stem from something more serious and asked if I should see a neurologist. He immediately threw up his hands and called me histrionic. Not sure if he treats everyone this way or if he’s just a misogynist, but the upshot is I did go to a neurologist and it turned out to be something that should not be treated by a chiropractor. Save your money (and you will spend a lot with them) — there are far better chiropractors in NYC.

I’ve been a patient here for a few years. I had some intense, chronic pain — sciatica, neck, shoulder and back pain — that several previous physical therapists, a chiropractor, acupuncturist and holistic doctor couldn’t seem to help with. Some were posture issues, also probably stress… I was a mess.
Leon saw me a couple times a week for a few months, and it changed my life. I now go every few months for a tune-​up, if I take a long flight, etc. Otherwise, I’m in great shape and feel like a new person. I credit Leon with changing my life.

They are very friendly, overly friendly in what seems to me to be a COVER UP FOR A QUACK HOUSE! I was treated by Dr Schneider, for what was minor discomfort. After I saw him once, there was no change in my condition. The second time I was left in pain for days and had to cancel social engagements and travel because I felt so miserable and one of my legs went numb for several hours. The third and last time I was seen, he clearly ‘fixed’ what he had ‘broken’, but the mild issue I came with in the first place was never addressed. At this appointment he only spent only 11 minutes with me and actually backed out of the room, shrugging, smiling, and saying he ‘hopes I feel better’; I had to ask for advice re if I was allowed to stretch, what I should/​should not do/​etc. All of the above COST $ 750 — HIGHWAY ROBBERY — DO NOT GIVE THESE FOOLS YOUR MONEY!!!

I can’t really say enough positive things — these guys unlocked a severely frozen shoulder that was ruining the quality of my life. Not only could I not raise my right arm above 90 degrees, I could not reach behind my hip, and worst of all was in so much discomfort I could not sleep.
Wayne and Leon treated me for several months, which is very expensive and also time consuming, but they did what no orthopedic surgeon could, which was to free up my shoulder such that now I cannot tell anything was ever the matter with it.
I should also add that some of the treatment was very painful. Wayne and his colleagues perform virtual miracles, but you have to have some tolerance for pain.
Still, a massive thumbs up for their amazing non-​invasive treatment of soft tissue injuries!
