Westside Highway Car Wash

Totally legit car wash. Expensive, like everything else car-​related in NYC, but they did a good job. I paid $ 36 for the high end wash and got a very clean car in return. The guys did a very thorough job after my car came out, cleaned in between the spokes of my rims, cleaned the tailpile, etc. Would definitely go back.

Looks like I share the same sentiments as my fellow Unilocalers. I went here just once, and I would NEVER go here again.
— no clear signs for where to enter
— cannot understand a word of what the staff say
— they do not wipe down the car well after the wash

I’d give it zero stars if possible. I live nearby and go here often. I tip and I’m not expecting my car to be detailed but I shouldn’t have to remind them to clean my windows. Today, they used a brush to scrub ONE wheel. When I asked them why not scrub the other 3, they shrugged and sent my car thru.
Awful.

like many car washes, you have to beg and plead for the washers to wipe down any trace of missed spots. If I’m paying for a car wash, I don’t want to see a big blotch of dirt on my window. AND after going thru the trouble of chasing down someone to clean it, I definitely don’t want a stinky eye for requesting the clean. Why? BECAUSE IT’S A FREAKIN CAR WASH

Worst car wash in the 5 boroughs. My first time I said to myself never again the second time I have forgot about that time years later they still suck

This was my first and last time visiting this car wash. They were so hurried that they left half of the windows with windex remaining on them. Thanks but no thanks. I’ll find another.

Worst car wash on the planet. The guy who runs the hand wash section is a beyond rude and the most incompetent worker I’ve ever encountered. They charge more than the other car wash places in Manhattan and do horrible work. I would rather drive 2 hours in a storm with my head on fire than ever give them business again. Beyond the poor services, the place is filthy. Be prepared to clean the inside of your car again if you go there to get rid of the b.o.

Horrible! Horrible job cleaning and worse customer service. I paid $ 8 extra to have my rubber floor mates cleaned to find they did not touch it. I then told the attendant who gave me an attitude and reluctantly pulled them out to wash them. The interior was not wiped down at all but after the floor mates I did not even bother telling them. Will get my car washed elsewhere. Worst car wash experience ever.

These guys used to be good, but now they are just awful! They no longer wipe down the interior like they used to, and they barely dry the outside before they rush you out. The last time I went, there were two men yelling at me to move my car before I even sat down in the seat. When I told one that I needed a few seconds (literally seconds) to get into my car before driving away, he threatened to kill me – no kidding! As the only woman customer in the place, I was shaken up to say the least. Both my husband and I called to speak with the Manager, who had no interest in helping, despite the fact that his employees were threatening a customer. I have been going here for years but now I am definitely looking for another place. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances.

Adequate car wash with the requisite Manhattan prices.

Just left the car wash after visiting for the first time and definitely the last time. It doesn’t even worth to go there for free! Horrible service. I finished cleaning it myself. I wish Unilocal had an option for –5 stars… Don’t recommend. Safe your $ 22 and go somewhere else.

I used to come here fairly often because they were doing a good job with my car, but more recently I saw two things that I didn’t like:
1. They stole my sunglasses from the glove compartment. They are Oakley’s of $ 150. Not the most fancy ones, but I don’t have spare money to waste this way.
2. The guy who is in charge of the floor is very arrogant and rushes his employees to move to the next car on line without finishing the job with yours. He urges his employees not to finish up but rather continue with the rest of the cars. They barely spend 5 minutes drying and cleaning properly. The result, you car doesn’t get the proper treatment as it should.
Don’t go here, ever.

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. A mild rain storm would wash your car better, and at least it wouldn’t leave scratches. I literally wouldn’t even take a rental car to westside carwash to be «cleaned».

Complete rip off. Horrible customer service, car was a mess inside and out, and car wash was overpriced. Try anywhere else. Just terrible.

There are not many car washes in Manhattan, so you would think that once you found one, you would get not only lousy service, but also have to get a credit line from the bank to pay for a simple car wash.
On the West Side Highway in the upper 40’s is the Westside Highway Car Wash. These guys plow through cars — everything from taxis and liveries to everyday cars to exotics (I have seen Aston Martins and Maybachs go through here). They will do everything from a simple outside wash — sending your car through the machine, to outside and under-​carraige plus inside cleaning and outside detailing done by hand.
I have had both the simple wash as well as the full detail. None of it is very expensive and they do a great job. I know not many of us NYC Unilocalers own a car, but if you do, bring your car here, they will do an excellent job making your car look special.

These guys do a good job for the price. From CA to NY I have had NUMEROUS car washes and this hard working crew does a solid job. Treate the crew with respect and you might just be suprised how your car ends up!

Brought my motorcycle to be washed. Did a good job. Dried with compressed air. Very careful around the chain. Satisfied with the job.

The worst car wash I think I’ve ever been too. Great location is their lure but beware, if they were located somewhere else I doubt they’d survive.
Have paint off back bumper and wheel well and they didn’t even do a good wash job.
