I would avoid. Used a living social voucher not worth the discount. Average massage no mood music warm room. Had much better. Too many options in the city to settle for subpar.

Brian is the best, been taking care of me for a while. He’s fast, professional, and talented.
I’d see him for any service.

This place is great. I have been here twice and the only deduction is due to the first one hour massage I got with a groupon. The masseur spent 30 minutes of the massage using a towel covering me, then left the room for 5 min. to talk to his colleague outside the door. When he came back in, it was a different guy who immediately removed the towel and started the massage. The whole massage from there on was rushed and mediocre.
The second time I came was to give it a second chance. I got the WHYNOT Body Treatment which consists of a bath soak, a scrub followed by a lotion body mask, and a massage during a 90 min. session.
The session was done downstairs in a private section with a tub, shower, and table all in one room with a sink and hair dryer for after. I was pleasantly surprised that IVAN, my masseur, brought me a glass of wine while I was relaxing in the tub. The scrub felt amazing and after the mask my whole body was super smooth. You are asked to rinse off between treatments. The massage felt amazing. Ivan did a great job and made progress on my shoulders that no female masseuse was able to do prior. I wish he was able to work my legs slightly more, but I guess my shoulders were really that bad.
After the massage you are given the room to shower off the oil and get ready and come back upstairs where you may pay for everything. All in all it was a great experience for $ 121, which includes the tax.

VERY rude woman that I talked with on the phone. When I called to schedule the Groupon massage/​facial special, she immediately said that we are booked for this week. I explained that I was actually looking for an appointment for next week, she stated that I would need to call back next week. When I asked when, she hung on me. When I called back, she was even more rude. I have not even had the service yet however based on the poor customer service, I question the overall quality of the place.

I have come to Why Not Spa for years and it’s always amazing!!! Brian is Outstanding!!! He recently gave me a mani pedi that made me feel like I was in heaven! And his massage skills are #1. I recommend everyone to schedule an appointment with Brian; you won’t be disappointed. The spa is always clean and the staff is friendly. They even send me a text to inform me of promotions. I Love Love Love It!!!

The facilities are not bad, but watch out for the up-​sell. Each service tried to sell me add-​ons. Bought a Living Social deal for massage and facial and it was impossible to schedule. I called mid-​April to book, they told me to call back in May. Called in May and it was only available on certain days.

I have been to this establishment twice. The first time was a good experience but the second time was a horrible experience.
I recently went to the spa for a (massage, facial, manicure, and pedicure) and I planned my trip so I could make it on time. Unfortunately the NYC public transportation (MTA) failed me. There was a train that had stopped working and no notification was on the MTA website. So I had to reroute and figure it out. I was finally able to figure it out but had to wait a long time for the train and it resulted in me making it 40 minutes late to the spa appointment.
Once I made it to the appointment and tried to explain I was immediately told «I am sorry, you are too late» and I responded by trying to explain. However, I kept being rudely interrupted and finally asked for a refund. I was told to reach out to GROUPON since I had purchase it online. I took some time to think about it and then asked to reschedule the appointment. The gentlemen proceeded to sit on his chair and help me but when I explained that the next available day for me was 2 weeks away he became upset and stated that it was too far along. He then attended two other customers that had just walked in and did not have an appointment. I then waited for him and he stated that he would call me (He never called).
I then reach out to GROUPON and was going back and forth with them for a few weeks. GROUPON then told me that they were sorry and that I lost my $ 142 dollars. I was so upset and replied explaining the situation again.
GROUPON responded and issued me a credit and now I can use the money on my GROUPON to get another spa appointment at another establishment. What is interesting is that once I got the credit for my money tI received a call from the SPA. I missed the call but when I looked up the number I realized it was them calling me. I highly recommend you go to another SPA as all they care about is the money and not the customer experience.
I am extremely disappointed.

I have gone to Why Not for years. I have had mani/​pedi for years and Brian is the best technician I’ve ever had. He takes his time never up-​sells and the result is always perfect. Most recently, I saw Kim for massage. He was great. Perfect sense of how much pressure to use, never intrusive and made me feel great. I go there every 3 – 4 weeks. I have used many spas but I always come back to Why Not. Thanks guys!

They do very good work but because their English is not very good the services can come off as being rude. I went for the nail work and Brian tried to do everything himself even though there were other staff available to help. They do try and upsell you services once you go in with the discount. Place is clean and convenient.

like some of those who commented earlier, I purchased a livingsocial coupon and called to make an appointment. the receptionist was very rude and told me that i can only call two days before the day i want the appointment because i was using a livingsocial coupon. never have i been given a second set of criteria because of using a livingsocial coupon. then the receptionist proceeded to tell me if they can’t find the voucher number they will charge full price. made no sense but doesn’t have to. i am canceling my purchase and getting a refund stat. business must be booming to have such rude people answering your phone.

Went there for a chest/​back wax for the first time and it was ok, the guy took his time, used multiple wax strips and the service was good. I paid around $ 110 +tip. A month later I go there for the same service chest/​back wax and this time the same guy was rushing every strip and using the same strip like 3 or 4 times which was irritating and more painful! It was a horrible experience and to top it all my total was $ 130! NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN.

Went here for a massage on a recent trip and the massage was very good. Tom did an excellent job and I would recommend his services. The price was in line with other spa prices for the area. The spa was clean and the room was comfortable.

Attempted to use living social coupon. The person told me I could use and the person I asked for was available. Upon having hard time to locate the Living Social voucher number, he told me be would offer me same price. I replied I wanted to use coupon. He then told me no one was available for massage today. All was busy. I waited 15 minutes outside the place — no one went in, no one went out and staff sat in chairs waiting. I got back into get clarification, and the receptionist told me they only take 3 or 4 LivingSocial a day. I ask do they know that, and he responded it doesn’t matter if they do or not. Very rude receptionist. Just hope living social gives me a real credit on my credit card. This was horrible experience.

Went with the Groupon for the 60 minute massage and the 45 minute facial. For the price, it was really a steal.
The massage was great and the masseuse did not try to sell me anything during the massage, which I appreciated.
The facial was also very good and the beautician even went overtime without charging me, again appreciated.
The cashier presented their special offer but did not insisted when I declined.
The place is a bit far for me so I am not sure I will go back but I would if I was living in the village.

This is body work and not massage. They advertise on Groupon and livingsocial as the services performed are a massage. The body work was okay. They give you the exact amount of minutes you pay for. I think the place is a little expensive for what you get.

I was walking around with a friend and we just did a walk-​in massage. They took us right away with no waiting which was great. I liked my massage and didn’t have any complaints about it at all. I guess don’t go if you are uptight about being touched, but if you are going for a massage I’d assume you know that.

i went yesterday and i will NEVER be going back
first let me say, i went to a «men’s spa» because i haven’t been to a spa before and i wanted to feel comfortable and RELAX — this was NOT the case. i have actually never been so uncomfortable in my life.
facial was fine, BUT, the man who gave me a massage was way too touchy and kept making comments about «upgrading to 90 minute massage because its muchhhhhhhh better» he kept whispering in my ear. i kept declining, and he kept trying to make sexual advances. after this whole «massage» was over i tried to put on my clothes and just get out of there and i guess because they knew i said no i dont want a rub and tug, when i left the room there were about 5 people outside of the door. i have never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life, so i sat there and got my pedicure contemplating what i should do, if i should just leave or call the cops, or if i was overreacting — bottom line, i shouldnt have had to be put in this position. i paid and left because i didnt even want to talk about what had just happened to me — they called me to let me know they could tell i was upset and that they would have the manager call me – no call.
UPDATE: «acting manager» called and offered me a 60 minute massage with a «REAL person»
unsettling. they have REAL and FAKE massage therapists? DO NOT GO HERE. unless you’re into that sorta thing.

One Group On Coupon used — and NO, I will not be going back.
Arrived on time. Everyone is sitting in the small lobby — very uncomfortable. Not professional at all. Lead to a little room in back. Given a little towel and masseur left room.
I get comfortable. Lay on table. Masseur starts talking and talking and talking. In between «pleasantries» I am constantly asked about upgrading my services. I explained — please be quiet and do my massage.
«CHI» massage? OMG — AWFUL massage. Not sure what the purpose of that phrase is or how I should be feeling. It was a real bad massage, poorly executed and devoid of enthusiasm and coverage of most of my body. Ummmm. how about some massage oil? Are any of these people licensed? I’ll bet not.
It was a real waste of money. I should actually ask for my money back from Groupon.
You won’t see me going back and I’m sure they won’t be in business very long.

Worst massage in my life, and I’m not exaggerating. Waste of time and money. Definitely never coming back. I bought it with a Groupon and I still feel like it was a waste of money.

Bought a Groupon for a facial and massage. They were great! Due to train issues, they were running behind and offered a free pedicure. I’d definitely go back!
Highly recommend the facial!
