Wu himself and wu’s cleaners as a service are both great.
I had my initial doubts when a blouse came back with a few broken shell buttons, but I tried to have them replaced at brooks brothers and found that all those blouses had that problem. BB replaced the blouse and it wasn’t a fault of dry cleaning.
For my other items — silk dresses, linen suits, etc — they’ve all turned out well. In particular the linen suit looked better than when returned from other more expensive dry cleaners in the area.
Wu also is a good guy and fits me in when I’m in a hurry and even replaced a button for free. Very happy with customer service.

Mr. Wu is terrific. Best prices in the neighborhood, always pleasant and good quality. Small, unassuming store front but far better than the larger more institutional places in the neighborhood.

Great cleaners, very nice guy and good prices. Actually recommended me a cheaper option so I didn’t «waste money» on something I didn’t need. I just moved from California but I will be frequenting him from now on.

Wu! This man is exceptional not only in his business but as a person. He is by far the best dry cleaning in the area. If you need someone does good work Wu is the person to go too. He is not cold very welcoming and a friend.

I chose Wu’s after my girlfriend and I decided we will never give A’s Organic Cleaners our business again (2 unrelated situations… DON’T risk that place.)
MUCH Better price. Better service. Better reliability.
So far I am very satisfied. Will circle back if that changes though. ;)

Wu’s cleaners is by far the best cleaner and laundromat in the area.
I’m not afraid to admit it, after moving to the neighborhood a few years ago, I did some serious comparison shopping at all the major cleaners in the area. Some are too big they don’t remember you, some constantly lose your stuff, and many are downright shady. Despite its small location on the corner of 19th and 1st, I started with Wu’s cleaners about a year ago and have been constantly impressed. Their prices are competitive, and they do a good job removing stains. More importantly, you get the sense that they truly care about you and your clothing. While the cleaning industry in NYC is clearly extremely competitive, it’s nice to know that you’ll have an ally with these guys.

They do a good job and they are cheap (compared to other dry cleaners in my ‘hood). I’d def come back again. Now if only they were open past 7pm on weekdays!
