I’ve only been to Yuca for brunch till tonight — came here for dinner and drinks with the girls, and each one of us loved what we ordered. The music was great, atmosphere was lovely, and happy hour $ 8 drinks! We shared the guacamole(so good, so fresh — quite small, but comes with tasty chips and fresh salsa). I had a yummy mojito and the fish croquettes appetizer. Delicious. With so many tapas to choose from, I wish they offered a sampler on the menu. Regardless… will be back soon!

Love this place! This is my Thursday night hang out spot. The sangria is amazing! It’s 35 for a pitcher during happy and it’s so worth it. It’s also Brazilian night and they steak is pretty good as well. The platano relleno is also a must !! And the staff are very friendly

my go-to place for amaaaazing sangria, tacos and latin music. everything about this place is on point. the service is always great, from the front door to the waitress to the bartender. definitely try the ceviche tasting, taquitos and the churrasco. both were incredible. the only quibble is the location of the bathroom, if you’re sitting on the oppsite end, you(obviously) cannot cut through the kitchen and instead have to squish your way thorugh a myriad of drunk, dancing people like sardines in a can. not a great experience other than that– well worth your time and money

A MUSTTRY if you wish to explore the depths of Latin American cuisine. I was blown away by the complexity and freshness of flavors throughout the entire meal, which made me consciously appreciate the food even more. That’s a rare feat to accomplish in a dining experience, but Yuca did it for me! The ambience is very lively and busy, which contributed to my waitress’s sometimes inattentive service. It took over 10 minutes for her to initially greet me, but the food came out in a speedy fashion and the back waiters added a lot of value to the team. They have daily specials and a happy hour that you should definitely take advantage of. I ordered the fish and shrimp taquitos, along with the Yuca-crusted Salmon. Muy delicioso. Never tasted Latin American food which such personality. Honestly, spectacular recipe and execution by the kitchen. Bottom line — come with friends, order drinks, and you might just forget how long you wait for some incredible Latin American food.

Still one of my favorite places in NYC!!! Food great, drinks great, ambiance great! Still hate the bathrooms lol if you’re claustrophobic or on the heavier side you’ll have a problem with them.

I had the shrimp quesadilla and the crab cakes benedictos and they were both too salty so i wasn’t very pleased with my dishes. my friends all got diff things — one thing to point out is the yuca fries: look them up before you order. and don’t expect them to be super crispy cos it’s not. my friend doesn’t like that, but i was ok with them — it’s your own preference~ ;) Their sangrias are bomb doe~ :) but i mean, who can mess up sangria? ;3

Came here at 1am on a Friday because I desperately needed tacos. Got a shrimp quesadilla instead. No regrets.

I’ve been to this location twice now, and it is always a great time. This is a solid spot for delicious tapas. I always like to just order a bunch and try them all! Definitely have to get the cuban sliders, the Arepa with beef and cheese, and the skewer sampler. Highly recommend for any event. Catching up with a friend, or having a larger dinner party.(No Reservations though. Goto the Bar across the Street while you wait) Great East Village Spot, and very affordable. Even with drinks!

Came by in the summer with a friend. We sat outside. Started off with cocktails… drinks were really good and packed a punch. We got a sampler appetizer and that ended up being enough for two since we had been munching on salsa & guacamole earlier. Good food, high energy/fun vibe, good service, reasonably priced. Good for a casual night out with friends.

What my friend and I ordered that made this receive a rare 5-star rating at prices that didn’t necessarily break the bank: 1) Salmon/Tilapia Ceviche — probably the best ceviche I’ve had and that’s saying a lot since I’ve had this dish at many Latin places; the flavors of the chopped salmon, mango, cucumber, herbs and vinegar was well balanced 2) Roasted Duck Enchiladas — the duck was a little tough, but still was a worthy choice 3) Mussels in Tomato Sauce– amazing tapas; my friend and I dipped the sliced bread in the tomato sauce and enjoyed the perfectly cooked mussels 4) Mojito — very strong with REAL sugar cane! 5) Chocolate Mousse with Ice Cream — The warm, not too dense, chocolate mousse was perfected with the scoop of vanilla ice cream 6) Tres Leche — This list ends with the dessert that must be ordered again and again! My friend and I paid $ 50 each for this amazing meal!

I give this place a 5 for food. My boyfriend and I did our own little bar crawl around the village and decided to try this place. The food was ah-mazing. We had the guacamole, steak skewers, and the sample tacos. Delightful! My only complaint would be how the waitresses congregate by the bar and have a catch up on their lives. At least 3 or 4 at a time. I had to make effort to get my waitresses attention, which she did apologize for. Otherwise, this place was great.

Quite possibly the loudest place I’ve ever eaten in. We were scouting the neighborhood for a gluten-free place and they had a menu(pretty cool) and ended up here. The menu is pretty extensive and pricey and the food is just ok. More importantly, you won’t be able to talk with your dinner companions because this place can’t decide if it’s a bar or restaurant, but the bar goers have decided that they’re going to be as loud as they can. Oh, and we got a free white wine sangria which was made with coconut water and it was absolutely horrible.

This place is always crowded and decided to give it a try. Start off with a pitcher of white sangria. If you are in the mood for a lot of grilled meats, I recommend the Carnitas for 2, but it is a lot of food. The shrimp salad was really good, it had hearts of palm, avocado in a coconut lime ginger vinaigrette. The yuca fries are a must order!

When I reflect back on my time living in the East Vill and think about the restaurants that I miss the most, Yuca bar is the first thing that pops into my head. I effing love it there, and I can’t believe that I haven’t been back yet since I moved. Yuca bar suits all needs. It’s great for a date night, it’s great for a girls night, they’ve got a fun brunch scene. It even works if you are just looking for a spot to grab a drank, or two or three dranks. I’m an absolute sucker for their mojitos. They are always super minty and refreshing and I love how the drinks come with a sugar cane. I’ve also had sangria here which is delicious as well. I’ve tried a bunch of the small bites like the tacos, cuban sliders and the dillas but my absolute fave thing to order are the skirt steak skewers over the lime garlic rice. This comes in entrée or app form, but I usually get the app because it’s a decent sized portion. Because there are so many great things to try, I suggest coming in with a group and splitting a bunch of things. I also suggest coming in on ½ off tapas night so that you can really go wild. Because the path runs along the west side, it’s a really long trek to head as far east as Ave A, but I’d do it in a snowstorm if it meant a Yuca Bar mojito at the end of the trip. Hoping to be back sooner than later!

Hello brunch! Arrived around 2pm(a party of 3) and only waited about 20 min to be seated. Restaurant is nicely decorated. Good amount of seating. Pretty warm temperature wise — dress light. Latin and remixes to popular tunes are booming from the speakers We started off two mimosa’s and a bloody mary. Drinks were average. Food…omg! delicious! We ordered calamari and guacamole to start. The calamari was large and perfectly fried. It came with 2 sides — twist on a spicy marinara sauce and a cilantro sauce. The cilantro sauce is incredibly delicious! The chips for the guac were plantain and tortilla. It also came with a side pico de gallo. Idk if the guac is made to order as they didnt ask if we want it spicy or not, so I am guessing not. Its still good guac. Since we took some time eating our appetizers and gossiping over drinks, the waitress actually requested we closed out our check with her because her shift was ending. She was polite so we did not mind. We got another waitress to order our entrees. Luckily brunch ends at 4:30pm so we ordered at 4pm. Our new waitress was just as nice as the first but not as attentive. Took her a while to fill up water cups — simple enough, right. Entrees were delicious! I ordered Yuca Benedictos which is yuca and chopped up shrimp hash with poached eggs and cilantro hollandaise on top. My goshhhhhh that was great. The hash was well seasoned with onions and peppers. The cilantro hollandaise is a phenomenal twist to your traditional hollandaise. Its just as creamy and a perfect addition to the latin twist to eggs benedict. The plate looks small but don’t be deceived as its very, very filling. My friend ordered the chocolate chip pancakes which she said was too sweet. My other friend had arepa benedictos with serrano ham. Both benedicto plates cost an additional $ 2. She loved it just as much as I loved my dish. We were soo full we opted out of dessert. Nice décor, delicious food, average drinks, fair prices, average customer service, loud music. Will I return — absolutely! Happy dining!

«Loco Tuesday» has truly made this my favorite Tuesday happy hour spot. Half priced drinks and tapas until 8pm! This deal is such a steal! Pitchers of sangria serve about 4 glasses for $ 19. Haven’t tried the red yet but the white sangria is so good and fruity every time. The tapas going at $ 6-$ 8 per dish when half priced, are seriously delicious and filling too. Tapas we ordered were the Espresso bbq costillitas, Arepa Vegetariana, Pulpo ala plancha, and Taquitos de Carne. As for the entrée we tried the Moqueca da Bahia. The espresso ribs(5) were flavorful, tender, and the sauce is a bit sweet. Arepas and Taquitos(3) were surprisingly delicious. Just the right amount of filling to carbs ratio. The Pulpo ala plancha(grilled octopus) was the most disappointing especially because I love grilled octopus. The octopus was a chewy texture and lacked flavor. The Moqueca was like their ceviche dish with the same tangy and savory broth and seafood bits, except served hot and with rice. For dessert we tried the Tres Leches. The guava gelatin definitely balanced out the sweetness and the milk softened up the dessert. Overall you really can’t beat the price you pay for the delicious tapas and big portions they give. Service great as usual!

I have passed Yuca bar many times and never really looked at the menu until my brother pointed it out once. This place is ALWAYS packed on the weekends and for a good reason. My first experience here was on a Tuesday where for $ 34 the two of us ate way more than we can handle. They have half off tapas but the tapas are larger than what you would expect. We got two orders of guacamole($ 4.50 on tues) which has about a cup guacamole, a cup of salsa, and a huge basket of chips… So all that times two, calamari($ 5) which was HUGE– looked like two orders at any other restaurant, yuca fries($ 5) which are AMAZING but are not on the half off menu, Latina salad($ 8) which was also not on the half off menu but it was a really good portion, and a diet coke & a tea which was A LOT of food for the price. The second experience I had here was MUCH better even though the first visit was still good(and a really good deal). I came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday night around 7:45. We got drinks at the bar($ 7 for tequila on the rocks) while we waited for only about 5 minutes for our table. We got guacamole($ 9), taquitos de pescado($ 13), salmon ceviche($ 12), and pulpo ala plancha($ 12). The high lights were the Taquitos and the ceviche. I definitely like the dinner menu a lot better here and you can still get the happy hour discount since it goes until 8pm. It is usually packed but there are a lot of table and you can always get a few drinks at the bar while you wait.

Very short wait time for a group of six on a Sunday night! The atmosphere was lively and fun — almost remnicient of hanging out outdoors in New Orleans on a warm breezy night. We ordered the following: Arepa con carne: comes in twos and is essentially a corn cake topped with beef, sour cream, and a delicious red radish. Perfectly balanced light dish! Churrasco: this perfectly cooked steak had an amazing chimichurri sauce on it. Comes on a bed of delicious mashed potatoes. Yuca: the place deserves to be called Yuca! Their yuca fries were perfectly crisp with an amazing chimichurri sauce on it. We didn’t order many drinks in the beginning of the night, but we somehow ended up with a free carafe of sangria and a free round of shots! The busboy spilled sauce on someone in our party and the bartender sprayed some water on us accidentally. It would have been annoying otherwise, but alcohol seems to help us forgive and forget sometimes! ;). Overall, food was amazing and we could not stop raving about them yuca fries!

Delicious Mexican food, very relaxed atmosphere and nice music. Best cocktails. A great location, which is even better when you can sit outside on a warm summer evening. If your are in the area try it out!
