I know what most will think seeing that I’m reviewing a grocery store… eh, who cares? Well, I feel like it needs to get the attention it deserves. Living out in Newark, I’m basically restricted to Kroger(hell on earth) or Wal-Mart(that place you hang out before you make it to hell) and this little gem I decided to check out. Concept of it is, no advertising, no grocery bags, 100% recycling of materials and limited selection = lower prices. You can buy plastic or reusable bags or they will give you boxes if needed. The brands are mainly not really well known, the selection is just as you’d expect going into a store that is 1⁄8 the size of the other two places. But, it basically has everything you’d need in a basic grocery store trip. The veggies are fresh and local, a lot of the brands are local and for basic food staples — the prices are really amazing. I’ve made this my first stop for my grocery needs then I back-fill from the other locations as needed. Added bonus is the ladies working there are all super nice and the store is kept very clean.

I love shopping here. Amazing prices, very efficient employees, good quality items from across the spectrum, unique German food not easy to find elsewhere. It’s also nice that all Aldi stores are laid out exactly the same so it’s easy to find what you need. I love the meat and cheese options most of all.
