Amore was one of my favorite pizza places until the last order. The driver FORGOTTHEPIZZA. So we waited 2 hours to get it delivered. It was cold and tasted terrible. Had to reheat it in the oven, which made it even worse. We also ordered an antipasto salad, the egg was so overcooked and half the shell was still on it. My orange soda was hot when I got it as well. Absolutely terrible experience and will never repeat business here. Wasted $ 40(including delivery and tip) on crap I didn’t eat. Extremely upset.

White pizza here is really good get it with broccoli and ricotta. Also the 4.99 $ hot sandwiches with delicious double fried extra crunchy french fries are one heck of a bargain. Would suggest ordering one of these items to have a good experience. Not sure if the rest of the menu is great but do not waste your money on the garlic knits they are not worth the money.

Chicken parmigiana was disappointing at best. Italian Stromboli was good. Much better choice to take out than eat in since they give you disposable knives forms & plates to eat in. Probably won’t return.

Yummy food good prices. We had a pineapple pizza, cheese steak, wings and fries. I’d eat here again.

I currently live next to Amores and have ordered from there for over 10 years and they never disappoint. Great pizza shop with delicious cheesesteaks and perfectly cooked wings. They are my go to on football Sunday’s.

They make possibly the best cheese pizza in Delaware. If ur looking for something aside from pizza def try out the cheesesteak lunch special. You get a basket of fries, fountain drink and a 6 inch cheesesteak for about 6 dollars. It’s def a great place to grab something quick.

Amore makes a very satisfying pizza with a delicious sauce and always plenty of cheese, the pizza crust is in between a hand tossed and a pan style. Their gyros are loaded with meat and a tasty Greek sauce. One of my favorite items they offer is the Chicken Cutlet Parm Sub. The chicken seems to be freshly prepared in store, very tender and loads of mozzarella cheese though it could have used a bit more marinara sauce. Owner(Tommy) appears to be hands on. I see him there almost every time I pickup a order. That explains the quality in there food. Only other negative comment is there deliveries tend to run slow.

Ok. Maybe not the most authentic New York style pizza in Delaware, but truly not bad at all. It’s worth asking for extra sauce, though. Easy online ordering, fast delivery, and one cool online feature most stores don’t offer — the ability to request extras like paper plates, utensils, etc. Skip the seafood — it’s frozen, heavily breaded and fried. The subs are small but fresh. Sadly, they only offer one size in their special. With Capriotto and Casapula locations so close, Amore needs to step up the hoagies to compete. The Bear/Red Lion location, in particular, is run by two really cool brothers. A little hard to find, it’s worth finding. The owners recently unveiled something new they created called Toasties. Sound like Grinders; could be interesting. We’ll try them soon and let you know.

I love this place. I rate places like this on a three tier basis. 1 being delivery speed, 2 being quality of food, and 3 being price. This family owned shop is exactly what you’d be hoping to find when moving into a new town and I would recommend it to anyone looking for their go to local place.

Tasty Italian food for an affordable price! Friendly service. I love their Pizza and their fish sub is to die for. I’ve been getting it for years. Surprising right? A pizza place with a good fish sub. Tonight I’m going to try their baked ziti. Excited to see if great like everything else I’ve tried. Only giving 4 stars because at the end of the day it’s just a pizza spot. And honestly their fries could be better. LOL

My boyfriend insisted this place had good pizza, but I guess things have gone downhill recently. I think I would have rather had Dominoes. Food was literally cold by the time it got to us. The medium pizza was what I would expect a small pizza to be. The mozzarella sticks were something you would get at a school cafeteria(I didn’t know it was possible for mozzarella stocks to be gross).

Amore’s is a staple in our house. In fact if my husband ever had to pick a last meal, I’m fairly certain it would be Amore’s pizza. To clarify my husband is 100% Sicilian. Most Italian and pizza places never get a passing grade. Not only is their pizza noteworthy, we’ve never had a bad meal. Wings are huge and the curry cumin sauce a big hit. Cheese steaks are great as well. As I said we’ve never had anything that was not excellent. The staff is super friendly and the owner Tom is a sweet man. They have great lunch specials as well.

These guys are amazing. No other way to describe it. Any of their specialty pizzas should scratch any itch you need, and their online ordering is pretty convenient to boot. Anyone who loves buffalo stuff should try the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. The carb coma will be totally worth it.

We have been a faithful customer of this place for 17 years. Customer service has gone downhill… fast. Twice this years we have been very disappointed in service. Beware of their online menu. You do NOT get french fries with all the subs even though the online tells you they do get fries. When you call to tell them they are missing, you get told you didn’t order any. When you say the online menu says you get them, you get told yes the online menu is wrong and basically too bad. I will find another place to spend my money.

I stop here a lot for antipasto salad which is huge and really, really good. It is Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Cucumbers, Green Peppers, Hard Boiled Egg, Provolone, Ham, Salami, Cappicola, Pepperoni and Anchovies and comes with garlic bread(I get it without anchovies). I have also had their Cranberry pecan chicken salad which is Spring Mix, Cranberries, Pecans and Chicken. I have had the italian hoagie. It was ok, but I would only order that if it was a hoagie emergency and a real sub shop wasn’t open. Their plain cheese and pepperoni pizzas are fantastic, as well as the meat lover Pizza Sauce, Cheese, Ham, Bacon, Sausage and Meatballs, and the white veggie Cheese, Tomato, Black Olives, Broccoli, Fresh Garlic, Onions, Green Peppers and Mushrooms, and the Veggie Pizza Sauce, Cheese, Tomato, Black Olives, Broccoli, Fresh Garlic, Onions, Green Peppers and Mushrooms.

So I have a love hate relationship with Amore. Their pizza is awesome, their subs and cheesesteaks are good. Their fries are the weird crust on the outside ones. They have some good specials on pizza during the summer(usually). Their salads are great. I’m pretty sure their pastas are frozen and they don’t make it themselves, but even being frozen it’s pretty good, plus they put about and inch of mozz. on top and then bake it. Their prices are pretty fair, and they have a great selection. They do get orders wrong about 1 out of 5 times, but it’s not usually that drastic.

There is a term called«regression to the mean». While more commonly used in statistics lectures it does have a place in eating out. Remember when you ate at a place and the food was awesome, then next time good, then finally just average? Over time eating at a place will tend to get you to an average feeling about the food and the place. i have eaten at Amore Pizza multiple times since my first review over a year ago. Since then my opinion of Amore Pizza has settled into an average of 4 stars. The pizza remains one of my favorites for all the reasons I have mentioned in my original review. They continue to rate 4 stars each time I eat there and I enjoy eating their pizza.

This is probably my second favorite pizza place in the area for one simple reason, cheese! They use the best cheese I’ve tasted in a pizza and it is what has me ordering from there when I get in the mood for that cheese taste. Clearly I am a fan of their cheese, which covers many items on the menu, what about the other factors of a good pizza place? Well all in all their menu is tasty, I just prefer the sauce at Ciaos a little more(heaven if they merged). The customer service is friendly and efficient. Deliveries I have had are on time and accurate. For me it’s a toss up between Ciaos and here, but Ciaos usually wins based on I’m usually more of a sauce guy, if your a big cheese lover though, the scales may tip in Amore’s favor for you.

This is one of our favorite weekend spots to get take-out. We absolutely love the pizza and there’s always a special running. My Hubby’s fave is the Pepperoni Steak and I sometimes crave a Chicken Cheesesteak. Both very well put together. The rolls are soft and very fresh. We’ve been getting take-out from here for the past 5 years and have not been disappointed yet! A MUST-TRY!
