Loved my chicken salad croissant sandwich. Ingredients were fresh and it was delicious!

I love andersen and always go to different locations but this time I came to new park mall and got my regular sandwich. The bread wasn’t fresh and wasn’t even toasted. I was always wondering why this location is empty now I know why.

Three stars just because their breads are good and their creamy french is simply amazing. But I didn’t get any of those today… Andersen’s was one of my mom’s favorite places to go and grab a quick lunch at. Lots of sandwiches and soups and delicious pastries. I decided to hit up Andersen’s today after a couple years of not coming here at all(mainly because it’s located inside Newpark Mall and that mall is just not worth anyone’s time… but at least they’re upgrading it!) I was craving a sandwich but didn’t want a huge deli sandwich and didn’t want to spend $ 10 on a mediocre sammy from Panera, and since this place is literally across the street from the job why not? My go to was always the eggplant and fresh mozzarella sammy but I decided to go with the turkey, swiss and avocado today. What a mistake. I literally had 3 tiny slices of avocado in my entire sandwich, a couple pieces of lettuce and processed turkey meat… It wasn’t even real meat, it was straight up processed white turkey meat, crumbly and slimy and just had that terrible texture to it. At $ 7.45 it’s not the cheapest sammy nor a super expensive sammy, but the quality of the sandwich was really not worth the amount charged. I agree with these reviews saying their sandwiches are overpriced, it’s a shame really. I was tempted to order my fave creamy french along with my sammy but avoided temptation(Mexico in 27 days, I gotta be extra good!) although I really should have because that would have made up for the lackluster sandwich I got today. Oh, and I didn’t even get a pickle with it! Not like I like pickles much, but don’t the sandwiches come with a kosher pickle wedge? They used to. What happened Andersen’s? I’ll avoid getting sandwiches here from now on, but I will definitely be back for the creamy french, paisanos, pesto and cheese breads.

I’ve always loved Andersen’s, they have delicious breads made fresh every day. I especially love their pisano, pesto, and jalapeño cheese. Omg… toast that up and it’s just the best thing ever

There’s one item, and just one, that I usually venture over to Andersen for(doesn’t matter which location) and that’s their Creamy French baguette. Yes, that small and slender baguette with a nice crust and soft moist chewy interior cut lengthwise and filled with that decadent, creamy, rich, and velvety custard is to die for. Warmed up for a few seconds in the microwave or just a tad in a toaster oven(or don’t warm it up if that’s what you prefer) and paired with a hot cup of joe or your favorite tea and you’ve got one of the most delicious snacks in hand(finish in one sitting cuz they’re not that great the next day). Simple pleasures and so darn good! I could eat this sinfully scrumptious carb morning, noon, and night! So yeah, I understand Andersen sells and serves other baked goods, sandwiches, soups, salads, etc., which honestly I’ve never had, but nothing else draws me back except for the Creamy French. Some people are addicted to Señorita bread from Starbread(it’s sweet, gooey, and buttery awesome and I love it, too), but I’m a sucker for the Creamy French, my bread«crack» that I can’t live without. And if you haven’t experienced it yet, what are you waiting for? Go get some now and pick me up a couple, too! Trust me, you won’t regret it. Hurry cuz they sell out fast and then you’ll be truly regretting you didn’t go out sooner to your local Andersen(BTW, the employees at the NewPark Mall location are very friendly, sweet, and courteous(at least they were to me, unsure about you, LOL) so tip them well if you venture over to this particular spot). Viva la Creamy French!!!

Andersen Bakery is just like Panera, except Anderson has a more impressive dessert section. Both Andersen Bakery and Panera make wholesome food that makes you feel like you are cuddled up on your couch at home by a warm fire reading a good book or watching a movie with family. I love how homey the food is at Andersen Bakery, and it is fairly priced for good quality food. I went for a sandwich-soup combo and ordered a tuna salad sandwich with clam chowder soup. You can choose what bread you want with your sandwich, so I opted for focaccia bread, which I’d recommend because it was beautifully toasted and gave the sandwich a nice crunch. The clam chowder was all right — it didn’t have many pieces of clam in the soup which was disappointing, but it tasted good regardless. I also ordered a chocolate éclair which definitely was my favorite part of the meal. The bread was not soggy at all, the hardened chocolate gave a nice crunch to the éclair, and the filling was light and semisweet. I’d definitely recommend trying the eclairs! Andersen Bakery is not your high class, award-winning, five-star expensive restaurant, but it is a comfortable and homey restaurant with good food that leaves you feeling satisfied. I’d come back again for a meal whenever I am in NewPark Mall.

This place you’d to be great, like a high end sandwich shop, now it’s just a high priced place with horrible customer service and if you around afternoon you will see flys flying around on the breads and look and see all the dust in that shop wow, also the only bakery I know runs out of bread for the sandwiches, well that goes on the manager apparently doesn’t care, I’ve complained several times, I don’t think he even understands, I’m so glad the mall opened Nestlé Toll House they make a great chipolte wrap.

Whenever I do find myself coming to NewPark Mall, I always seem to get a craving for something sweet but also a wee bit carby! & I know that I can fulfill my cravings at Andersen Bakery! Now I’ll be honest, I’ve never had anything beyond their breads here so I can’t say much about their sandwiches… but I am a big fan of their breads. One in particular! The CREAMYFRENCH! It’s essentially a baguette with cream inside! I have been getting these ever since I can remember and whenever I pass by an Andersen Bakery location, I always either fight or fulfill my desire to grab some! When you do get them you can either have it given to you as a whole or cut up! Personal preference? Cut up! That way you can have smaller pieces you can plop into your mouth as you chat with friends or walk around perusing different stores! No complaints about service either. The employee who helped my friends & I, accommodated us really well. She asked us what we wanted and when we ordered three of the creamy french she asked us if we wanted it in separate bags and if we wanted them whole/cut up. Also, when we inquired about drink prices, the other employee really helped us out and made sure we wanted something or not. & Even though we ended up not getting beverages, I still felt like it was really good customer service to follow-up as well when he wasn’t sure, in order to ensure we got the best service possible! So call it nostalgia or call it my dedication to feeding my addictive needs for carbs… no matter what you call it, I’ll always seem to be a definite fan of their creamy french breads!

The raisin bread is very good. The bread is fresh and the raisin are fresh too. I also got the international cheesy bread. I love it.

This was the best experience I’ve had today. The service was calm & excellent, the food was well cooked & prepped & wonderful atmosphere. I never knew about Andersen’s, but now I do. Today was awesome! I had a combo, Turkey & avocado on raisin bread with butternut squash soup! Yum! Keep up the good work!

I like this place. The breads and sandwiches are amazing here. I specially like the fresh mozerella sandwich with eggplant in chibara bread. In breads you have to try the cream cheese walnut and the creamy french. It is mouth watering. I would definitely recommend this place. Thumbs up for anderson bakery.

I always feel like I’m eating healthy anytime I come here for lunch. Whenever I come here, I usually get the half soup/half sandwich combo. Today, I got the Tomato Basil soup and for the sandwich, I got the Turkey & Fresh Mozzarella with added sprouts to my sandwich. ITISSOGOOD! The mozzarella definitely tasted fresh and they gave me a full sandwich, although it was small it was still a whole sandwich! Sometimes I opt for a pastry, but I had to make myself resist this time as I am trying not to pig out so much anymore LOL! But this place has always been clean and the guy that took my order was extremely nice.

Alright heres the gist they have two mozzarella and egg plant sandwiches. One on the hot menu and one on the cold. They both have different ingredients. Hot has pesto and cold has balsamic vinaigrette. I work at the mall and ive ordered this sandwich 5times in the past month. I clearly ask for the hot option and yet they still can’t get the sandwich correct. I DIDNOT want the cold sandwich toasted. When I order off the hot sandwich menu I expect the hot sandwich with the pesto sauce. How many freaking times do I need to clarify that? Out of the 5 times this month they got it correct 2 times.

Creamy French is my all time favorite, but the jalapeño and pesto is great too! It’s a little hectic at times but the line moves fast. Service could be better and wished they had the pastries in a closed case. Sometimes see gnats flying on them and have to move on. It’s gross! Other locations seem to do better. Maybe it’s slow here and things aren’t so fresh.

The most lack luster employees I have ever encountered. They couldn’t even be bothered to make eye contact or smile at any of the customers. Making one sandwich took almost 40 minutes and there were only two people in line ahead of me. The employees offered no apology for the wait. The sandwich was alright, but certainly not worth waiting forty minutes. The seating area was dirty and the kitchen looked filthy. I will not be returning to this location.

This Andersen Bakery has AWESOME customer service and delicious sandwiches… and pastries… and dessert!!! I had to order lunch and other goodies for 15+ people and was nervous because sometimes things just naturally go wrong– like late deliveries, missing items, not enough options, etc. But the lady who assisted me, Ngoc, EXCEEDED my expectations and helped me order the perfect selection for this large group(even for those who have food allergies and some picky eaters). Thanks to her wonderful customer service, GREAT attitude– and of course the yummy food– this lunch meeting was a success and everyone was happy :) P. S. Their Farmer’s Chicken Salad sandwich is thee best

they put me oh hold for five minutes and I heard everything they were saying. talking bout last night and how a girl looked. really?. I hang up and call again the line was busy maybe because they forgot that they had me on hold. Andersen has a great menu so my problem is only with the staff… I go to pick up my food asked them if everything was in it. a confident yes was said… but you guys forgot my soup:(guess that’s my fault for not double checking.ugh. im so disappointed. whatever ill just go to union city andersens from now on…

The experience was really bad. Walking in, the pastries on display had flies on them. A friend and I were just going in for their tomato basil soup. We ordered, the cashier charged us, and — oops«we’re out out of tomato basil soup!» Why didn’t you check before you charged us?! Instead of a refund, we opted to share a slice of cake. «Sorry we’re out of forks.» The workers didn’t seem happy to be there, no smiles; terrible customer service. It was the most depressing Andersen Bakery I’ve walked into.

Another favorite of my coworkers. So much so that a few of them had their first welcome meals here with their bosses here at the Andersen Bakery in the mall! At first, I was a bit taken aback… a chain sandwich joint in the mall? I immediately had my doubts but after being brought here and checking out their selection and pricing, I have to say that I was wrong. The bread makes a big difference and the prices aren’t super mall priced outrageous either. And with Cinnabon on the way back to the car, it turns an average every day lunch trip into a super fabulous shopping mall extravaganza! I wish this place offered something other than soda or bottled drinks as I would have loved to have some coffee or tea with my meal. And other than the usual clientele of office workers and senior citizens who were sitting and watching the passerbys, I most likely will come back to Andersen’s for what probably will be biweekly visits.
