This is probably one of the best Indian grocery stores I have shopped at. I always make it a point to stop by when I visit my family here in Newark. They have a great selection of fresh produce as soon as you enter, as well as plenty of frozen Indian meals(if you are lazy like me and prefer the quick and easy route). They also a have an impressive selection of Indian spices, sweet and salty snacks, dry fruits, cold/frozen as well as canned desserts. They also have a variety of Indian teas and beverages. They carry some of the best brands and have competitive/affordable pricing with good quality. I wish we had a store like this one back home in Birmingham, AL

This newly opened store is an asset to the city of Newark and I am telling all my friends about it because I would love to see it thrive and stay in business for a long time. This is the largest, brightest, cleanest, and best organized Indian specialty store that I have been in anywhere in the U.S. The produce section is outstanding. All the basic supermarket staples are there, the food is fresher, and the prices are equal to or lower than that at other supermarkets. There are also many of the standard Indian foods, including freshly baked indian breads in the refridgerator units, a whole isle of chutneys, pickles, and curry powders, and some spicy(and simple) snack foods like spiced chick-peas, more flavorful and healthier than most American snacks. Other random items of interest include incense, spices(very cheap), and varying-sized bags of high-quality rice. There are even Indian desserts in the freezer. Check this place out. It has quickly replaced the supermarket as my primary place to get fresh produce. Coming here will not only save you money, but can introduce you to some exciting new foods that you may not be able to buy anywhere else.
