Barbecue Revolution

This is now North Newark Barbeque. And let me tell you this place is amazing. I went looking for BBQ revolution last Saturday only to find out it had been replaced by this establishment. I’m not sure how BBQ revolution tasted but this this place was to die for.
For $ 20 I got
Half chicken and ribs with French fries, vegetables and rice, the ribs were amazing. I love ribs and these were nothing short of perfection.
I’m not usually a chicken person, but I was willing to fight for the last few pieces in the humongous platter that we got. For a huge tray this was only $ 14
I also got empanadas, which they are seriously undercharging for. At only $ 1.50, they taste better then any of the others ones I have purchased anywhere else and I will be making a run to pick up more this week. I was a little worried about when it stated that they had raisins, but trust me buy 10. They are absolutely delicious.
The final Item I ordered was plantains. I personally am allergic to them, but my family was raving.
All this good came with a free 2 liter soda. It was delicious they staff was friendly and the establishment was impeccably clean. I cannot wait to return to North Newark Barbeque.

North Newark Barbecue, the best! My husband had the Dorado stew, a Saturday specialty, and I had the pork ribs. Outstanding! I will be back. Great little place.

The talk of the town is the new place that opened up five blocks down my street. chicken and pork ribs combos with lots of rice & fries serves 3 – 4 people and only $ 9.99 per tray.
However they do have other items that I personally enjoyed. The Revolution Cod Fish is very good, succulent cod broiled and buried in walls of mash potatoes drizzled with olive oil. I had cod served in many different ways but never experienced it this way before.
The other item I was pleasantly surprised was the empanadas. They come in a variety of flavors and/​or filings such as Crab, Spinach, Ham & Cheese etc… my favorites are Braised Beef & Spicy Chicken.
The place is also BYOB.

they have a Revolution salad, equivalent to a Chef salad, the usual chicken & ribs combo,
delicious salmon with a home made sauce that went well with my veggies. Quaint, affordable and the chefs are consistent with how they prepare the food. This will definitely be a staple in the North Ward community.
