This is more of a fish market than a restaurant. Pick whatever fish you want, go home with it. Or get them to steam/fry it for you first. I had some sampler platter to go and some fried whiting to go. The sampler platter had fried clams, fried scallops, fried shrimp, fried flounder, and fries. I also bought some whiting and had them fry it for me. Don’t get the specials listed on the menu board. Stick with the fresh stuff and have them fry it for you. The sampler I had was all pre-battered, possibly being refried. I wasn’t surprised that the scallops weren’t actually scallops at the price they were being sold at. But the whiting I had them fry for me was pretty good. They know what they’re doing.

It has some seating, but I wouldn’t really call it a restaurant. I don’t know how else to categorize it on here though(corrections are welcomed). Don’t let the name fool you, the crab is not their forte. Of course, we’re only talking about the steamed blue crab here. Not one of our top choices. We come here for the fish… the raw fish… for us to take home and cook. I have no idea how well they prepare fish so I can’t speak on it, but the fish we buy is pretty fresh. As much as I’ve consumed sushi, as much as I’ve consumed a gazillion varieties of raw oysters, I’ve never had raw clams until I got here. Yup, they took my raw clam virginity… and I liked it. Kinda chewy, oceanic, and yummy. I still prefer oysters though.
