What happened to the curry in Currito? For a long time I recommended Currito to friends who traveled through the Newark airport, and I would make a point of stopping at Terminal B at EWR for a curry tikka bowl or burrito with raita — but now the menu is the same as all the other MexiCali places in all the cities of the US. Why screw up something interesting and tasty and go to the same old same old? So, no longer will I recommend Currito, or make a stop at Terminal B.

Worst service in history. Even for an airport joint in F’ing Newark, this place is bad. I only got the chips and salsa, which both were obviously store bought, but it’s an airport so that’s forgivable. The horrendous service was intense though. AVOIDIFPOSSIBLE.

Poor service, mediocre food and overpriced drinks. If I had known this was the only place to buy an alcoholic beverage, I would have explored the main part of the airport more. Beef smells like cat food, corn tortillas are dry, and no one offered me water.

6 am. Terminal A EWR. Not a lot of choices to begin with. Only one that serves booze. Currito Cantina. Because every single US airport must have a ‘New-Mexi” restaurant. We were here at 6:30a for breakfast. So naturally, they’re greeting the day by blasting the Rolling Stones. Currito is bright, clean and open. The menu is exactly what you’d expect… burrito, quesadilla, tacos. For breakfast, they add eggs to above mentioned items. The food was generic, it didn’t delight the tastebuds, but it was well presented. The highlight was the salsa, which had a roasted tomato flavor to it. We got 2 double screwdrivers at $ 15 a piece, with the pours measured by a molecular physicist… there was certainly not more than 2 oz in them. Total tab for a breakfast burrito, breakfast quesadilla, and 2 screwdrivers:$ 51. Ugh. Welp, that’s what happens when you have a captive audience. My suggestion: have your drink there, then visit one of the kiosk concessions for the food.

It’s airport food so don’t expect much. really. Had the Breakfast quesadilla before my 9am flight to Orlando and it wasn’t till the last slice that I realized there was actually«meat». Asked for ketchup to add some sort of flavor and they didn’t even have lol who doesn’t have ketchup?! Service was OKAY. I’ll definitely leave the house a little earlier and eat somewhere else before I get to the airport.

Ok to be fair, it is in an airport. We walked in and were seated immediately. It is 2:00 on a Wednesday. So not unfathomable. We ordered drinks and some chips and salsa. The chips were definitely stale and the salsa was HOT! Taste wise… I sent the the chips back and I think he brought them back and just added a few. No Bueno ! I am sure that there is no management present, and food quality is suffering so we did not order anything… The waiter was nice enough but stale chips, really! Hence the one star. MacAllan 122 double shots 30 dollars, not bad! Stale chips…

The quesadilla was satisfying and margarita was too. This place is not too bad to be nestled in an airport. Of course prices are high; it’s and airport restaurant.

One of the worst airport bars ive ever seen. They dont allow standing at the bar and it takes forever to get drinks. Excuse if tommy wanna get drunky before his flight.

I’m getting more and more surprised with these airline food places. They are getting more and more worth the price range. I got the three chicken tacos with a side of chips and salsa. Lots of food. Got really full. The chicken tacos were great and filling. They were huge too. The chips and salsa was a lot more than expected as well so that was great. Good job.

When you have the choice of ‘would you like your Bloody Mary spicy’ it’s usually a good sign… They advertised the grey goose Bloody Mary as a special … Was the worst I have ever tasted … And a waste of grey goose could have had any cheap vodka might have tasted better at hiding the cheap tomato juice the used … Breakfast bowl … I enjoyed it that’s why the place gets the second star …

If you’re stuck on this side of the worst TSA security in the land, this is your only choice for drinks pre-flight. Get a beer, get a quesadilla, and sit back. Not great, but completely adequate. I will note the high tops by the front are good for people watching, but unstable as hell, and a slight jostle will spill your drink right quickly.

I got a chicken burrito to go, and was fantastically delicious! It was right on par with Chipotle if not slightly better(crazy, I know). I was expecting an average airport food experience, but something about the line salsa was sweet, spicy, and delicious. The downside to this place is that service is extremely slow. There wasn’t anyone at the to-go checkout table, so I went inside to order at the bar. Overall, I waited just shy of 15 min for my burrito and when I received it, the burrito was cut in half making it pretty difficult to eat in my lap while waiting for the plane. The plus side is that the lady who took my order was exceptionally nice. She checked on the status of my burrito a couple of times and brought it out to me when it was finally ready. Big takeaway, if you have the time to sit, relax, and eat, all definitely for it. It’s not the place to go if you’re on a time crunch.

Really nice servers, Rose was attentive and efficient. The Food took a long while to come to the table and it wasn’t very crowded. All burritos and tortas are made to order. The seats weren’t very comfortable and the tables were small. Hey it’s an airport so it’s pretty loud with interesting people watching and listening. Everything is plastic and portable. By the time I was waiting to pay my bill my rear end hurt from the chairs. The egg and cheese burrito was stuffed to the gills and very tasty. It was grilled to perfection. I liked the choice of pepper jack cheese and the pico Gallo. I made a good choice.

Relaxing place to hang out and have a quick bite and/or a cocktail before you head off on your trip!!! The guacamole is not fresh– a personal pet peeve of mine– bit nonetheless a great pit stop.

With already struggling from the early morning alarm to get to the airport on time-I was looking forward to a delicious morning breakfast to round out the end of my trip. With Cantina being the only option-my hands were tied-and then my head was cut. There was an eye lash in my water. Thankfully my tired eyes were awake enough to notice this before consuming another human particle into my digestive tract. The food was bad. Just bad. Grab an apple if you have the choice.

The margaritas were great. Until I found a bug in mine… yuck! They brought me another. However… it was weird to try and drink it after the bug in the other drink. I did though. I mean, I was at the airport… and… there weren’t a lot of choices. And, quite frankly I didn’t care as much about the bug after drinking a little more. They seriously didn’t skimp on the alcohol, and that was just hunky dory. The salsa, guac and chips were fine. Not great but not disgusting either. We also got a chicken quesadilla that I’m pretty sure they forgot about since it took an hour, but it was tasty enough.

This is the only place in the JetBlue terminal that sells beer. BUT: it closes at night !?! In the wee hours? Because it is always happy hour somewhere for Int’l travelers but not for this place. What? You don’t want an espresso instead before your flight? I may give another review if this place opens while I’m in the terminal. For now it gets 1 star: because there are no visibly posted business hours.

This is the only place in the Jet Blue terminal at Newark that sells alcohol. It is therefore usually really crowded, a little dirty, and not that comfortable. That said, the servers are typically nice and the food is decent. I’ve had one of the tortas, which was tasty but small, and now I usually get the chicken burrito bowl. I have them hold the dressing because the bowl already has like 4 sauces on it, and the dressing would probably turn it to soup. You can get your standard beer, wine, cocktails, or non-alcoholic beverages, and if you sit at the bar, they have tvs tuned to sports or news. Currito Cantina is in a shitty terminal in a shitty airport and I am usually in a shitty mood when I am there, so the fact that I give it three stars means it’s doing something right.

What type of cantina doesn’t serve nachos? Spent a few hours in this terminal post-Superbowl 2014 and the 12 hour continuous snowstorm. We planned on getting through security and eating at a sit down place to help pass the time. Turns out this is the ONLY sit down place in the terminal. Despite the crowds, we were quickly seated. When the menu arrived I was surprised at the sparse offerings. A choice of three appetizers, three sandwiches, three tacos, or three bowls. No nachos! Appetizers must be the crux of establishments like this– I would have loved to order a few, nibble away and then order an entrée/dessert later. We STRUGGLED to order anything at all. If we didn’t have three hours before our flight, I would not have bothered. We finally settled on a «taco bowl» salad with pork and a margarita. The taco salad arrived– looked average with the expected sprinklings of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and meat. Once we dug in, we were surprised to find a THICK layer of white rice hidden below. What type of salad has rice along the bottom? Did I miss something on the menu? Apparently I wasn’t the only one confused by this– twenty minutes later, I overheard a neighboring table confused by the rice discovery as well. The margarita was fine given our location. Nothing memorable good or bad to write about. It was served in a regular water glass and therefore quite sparse on the salt. Overall, an average spot. It did serve the purpose of helping an hour go by. Since the cuisine is so-so and limited, I suppose that is the only purpose they intend to serve. Next time, I will probably just pass on dining here.
