Pricey due to small portion, but I’m still glad I tried this place. Here’s what we ordered: House special crispy intestines — soooo good! String beans with minced pork — a little spicy, but sooo good. Sauteed pig’s kidney — too spicy, too tough. House special crispy boneless chicken — not as crispy as I hoped. Dried tofu slices with chili pepper — it’s ok Steamed egg — pretty good Sauteed beef slices — it’s ok Sauteed cauliflower — it’s ok House special spicy fried spare ribs — really Spivey, but soooo good Braised intestines with hot and sour sauce — it’s ok Will definitely go back for the Zhuhai roast fish!

I love this place! When I first saw its Unilocal rating, I thought it might be an Americanized Chinese restaurant since most authentic Chinese food places generally do not receive 4 stars or above. However, it is not the case at all! Food: absolutely delicious! We have tried 8 different dishes so far and love all of them. So far my personal favorite is the lamb on toothpick. It is flavorful and not gamy at all. Their three-colored steam fish is fresh and tasty, but very spicy. I appreciate that our server warned us how spicy it was before confirming our order. Please note: a lot of dishes are quite spicy because this is how Hunan and Sichuan food taste like. If you do not like spicy food, you should probably tell the servers so that they can recommend mild choices for you. Service: very good, especially for a Chinese restaurant. I have relatively low expectation for services at authentic Chinese restaurant. This place is a pleasant surprise! The servers are very nice and attentive. As I have mentioned, they warned us if the dish was super spicy.

Had this place bookmarked for a while, finally tried it. Had the house special chicken, the spare ribs and the lamb stick. Everything was great, the two spicy dishes did not taste like the same dish with different meats. Very impressed. Also, great service! Pretty rare for a chinese restaurant.

Absolutely loved it. Excellent food, great service. I waited over a year to come here. So worth the wait! The entrée names in Chinese are SO much more creative than their translated counterparts. We had a steel pot on flames that was«Fat Boy Sweaty [lamb & fish]». I mean you simply can’t go wrong with a name like Fat Boy Sweaty. The hubz and I were both sold on the spot(I translated for the hubz). There’s a chicken version as well. Oh, fiery and bold — the epitome of authentic regional Chinese. The lamb & fish was super tender and flavorful. An exciting kind of Surf n Turf! Portion was huge; there were veggies underneath, a satisfying balance. Great deal. Apparently we could have just shared that 1 item and would’ve been fine, but I had to try the boneless chicken wings that have been all the rage. It was comfort food with the familiar sweet & sour sauce. Not as crispy as we would’ve liked, but a hearty good eat. Last but not least, had a simple stir fry of eggplant & string beans — this dish really shone. I am a believer that simple dishes are a true test of an outstanding chef. It was well seasoned with the right bits of aromatics. All veggies the right texture, gloriously basking in gravy(for lack of better terms) but not drenched. Really appreciated that the eggplant was tender, sopping up all that gravy as you go, and beans were cooked to perfection(hate that expression but what are you gonna do) — just the right feel, not too al dente nor soggy. This was a sexy dish, and said test was passed with flying colors! The servers checked on us multiple times at just the right moment, very thoughtful, attentive and friendly. Plenty of napkins, even a fork and a knife in case, for the wings. All smiles, all the time. It felt genuine and upbeat. Love the photos on the wall and the art on the side about the four basic flavors(perhaps unconventional), one being«strange»(as in «strange flavored chicken» if you’ve had it.) This is situated in a relatively quiet strip, not your typical Asian craziness, quite the opposite. Parking was aplenty. All in all a very enjoyable dining experience. Bonus: I noticed that the staff spoke both Mandarin and Cantonese, in addition to English. Makes D & B a destination restaurant in my book. Note: they used to be open 7 days a week. Now they’re closed on Tuesdays.

Great food for its value compare to other Chinese restaurants! Therefore, I will come again! There might be a little overboard with their peppers, but I guess its decoration with the meat, so you can’t see that there isn’t much meat and fat? But its not spicy as it looks, which is good. The food is not oily-A plus! Not salty-Good! The green bean isn’t the traditional style, it was cut very short, not medium size.

Just tried this restaurant yesterday. Now the restaurant has 22%off everything and the food is very good compare other Chinese restaurant. Maybe I like spicy food, so this restaurant has lots of choice for spicy food! I think I will come back definitely!

Came in on a Sunday night, there were not many people here since it’s a new restaurant. We ordered the fried stick lamb slice which tastes every authentic and the lamb is very flavorful with a hint of cumin. House special fish is served in a huge plate and it’s quite interesting cause of the veggies surrounding the fish is really delicious, the fish is fresh too. House special spicy spare ribs is must have. The chili takes the whole dish to another level. Service is awesome compare with the other Chinese restaurant if you know what I mean. Anyways it’s a good dining experience and we definitely will come back again.

Came here on a weekend evening but surprisingly the place was not busy at all. We ordered a few of the popular dishes like the fish with 3 kinds of pepper, the lamb skewer dish, chicken with loads of chili.etc. All the dishes were in general quite good. Not over the top spicy but good enough since we have a combination of very spicy eating and not-so-much-at-all crowd. Would come again!!!

We came here for the first time this past Wed for lunch. The restaurant is located in a brand new shopping plaza. To our surprise, we were the only table in the restaurant for the entire time. We were promptly greeted and seated when we walked through the door. The menu was not big, but it was sufficient. We ordered 4 dishes and they were all good. Two of the dishes were spicy, but not over the top and they were not covered in greasy chili oil. The chicken and stringbeans dish was made with chopped up chicken wing so it was hard for the kids to eat. We thought it would be boneless chicken. The flavor was very good though. Overall, the service was attentive, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was clean. We would come back again. Hopefully they will get more business once the Asian supermarket in the plaza opens.

nice dinner here tonight! We ordered lots of food and we finished almost all of them. Portion is big, flavor is authentic, service is excellent. Maybe this is fairly new restaurant, they make you feel that they really appreciate your business and do whatever it takes to make you happy. I will come back if I am in the neighborhood.

Tried this one yesterday for the first time! it’s absolutely authentic and delicious. It’s very reasonably priced and fairly close to the interstate. I would recommend the following dishes: 1. 凉拌土豆丝 2. 酸豆角肉末 3. 湘炒香干 4. 红烧茄子

D & B Dining serves Hunan, Szechwan, and some Cantonese fare. checked in, got 2 bowls of house soup. D & D is next to an hand pulled noodle place. in a space that was Italian. eats: –house soup herby with dongwei taste and msg finish. –mapo tofu(8.99) modified to slightly spicy chili pieces and garlic used main ingredients, didn’t see any hot broad bean paste mostly small tofu cubelets and pork pieces. interesting rendition –black fungus salad(5.99) slightly spicy –sauteed chicken wings with onions(12.35) chopped up wings, bones included. so so taste, slightly spicy *way overpriced 3.5 stars, not a great value. take outs: –simple food way overpriced, interesting but not WOW tastes. -«soft opening» no idea what this meant, got 5% off for paying cash. maybe it means it’s ok if they ran out of something-rice vermicelli. –large groups of mandarin speakers came noonish. next door just 3 small tables.
