Dan’s Family Pizza

This is a way late review. but I went there over a year ago for a glass of wine and a plate of pasta. Pasta was fine — nothing exceptional. The only issue I had was when I asked for a refill of my wine the waitress revealed that they only had 1 wine glass. She was serious and I haven’t been back since. If a restaurant can’t afford to purchase a case of wine glasses for 20 bucks then I wonder if they are skimping on cleaning supplies and food ingredients. PS and bragging about it even more distasteful. If I ever go back I will ask about the wine glass population…

Perfect place for a family dinner. Great selection of choices, atmosphere and staff were friendly and understanding, & the food was delicious. I recommend the taco pizza!

Dans family pizza has been in business for years and their «claim to fame» is buy one get one free. As with all places that offer this, its obviously not true. I say this because if you get a pizza for dine in, its much cheaper and you only get one, but when you do delivery you get two pizzas and they charge more than the dine in price PLUS hefty delivery charge, iv been charged as much as $ 5.00 or more for a delivery.
Pizza quality is subpar. I have and much better pizza at the other local shops. The crust is very thin, yet its not crispy due to all of the grease, its so much that I usually feel sick after eating pizza here. It was not always like this, I remember when it was one of the better places but as cost rise for the shop, their quality has went down.
We only get pizza here if we are having company and need more than one pizza delivered quickly.

Enjoyable place, accommodating. Stayed open late for us when we showed up late. Relaxed joint that’s nothing fancy but is comfortable. Pizza was great. Thin crust well done. Cheeseburger pizza is one of the best I have had.

My favorite place in Newark. Excellent thin crust pizzas at exceptional value with their buy 1 get 1 free rate. Pizza on a budget that tastes as good/​better than any other competitor in the area

Love to support local businesses in Newark! Went w/​friends and their 2 yr. old. Service was great, our server was friendly and funny! My partner had Pepperoni pizza on regular crust, which was still quite thin in a good way. It was greasy… but that was the only complaint. I had Dan’s grinder, which was tasty. Will definitely go back!
