Waitresses had a bit of an attitude in the beginning. They were busy, but that is not our fault. The food was great and margaritas even better.

Always hesitant to issue a one star rating but a spade is a spade. Went with three friends for dinner & drinks on Del Sol’s marvelous patio. It wasn’t too crowded so we were seated within 5 minutes. Although friendly, our waiter, lets call him Casper was barely seen during our dinner. We ordered a few bottles and 2 drinks with three olives vodka. After the drinks and food were dropped off just like that… Casper vanished. All dishes ordered looked as though they spent a solid amount of time under a heat lamp. My meal, the spinach enchiladas looked deceivingly appetizing. The spinach, obviously of the frozen variety was pure mush and lacked any flavor. There wasn’t much of the verde sauce, most of it had dried out. I poured our left over salsa over the clumpy rice and enchiladas to give some flavor. I also ordered a side of Pico which never made it to the table. My friends dish with the mole sauce was insanely dried out, the corn tortillas were even crispy on the edges, compliments of that heat lamp. When our food was delivered we ordered another round of drinks… never came. Casper disappeared again after dropping off our food. 2 friends who joined late had to go inside to be served. When our server finally came back with our bill and the 4 waters that were ordered in the first few minutes of sitting down he apologized, saying«Thank you for your patience, I was gone for like 30 minutes.» Our bill included my MIA pico, and 2 well vodka drinks.(hence our drinks not tasting like 3 olives cherry.) Thankfully the ghost drinks we ordered didn’t appear on the bill. Needless to say this was my first and last visit to Del Sol. Entirely disappointing.

Giving them 5 stars, the food was awesome and the service was exceptional. Been living in the area since June and have been looking for a Mexican restaurant that compares to San Diego and I’ve finally found one. I would definitely recommend them.

Our family’s favorite Mexican place. Absolutely delicious, big portions at reasonable prices, with an extensive menu that has all your favorites and a few creative surprises. Hubby always gets the chicken enchiladas; I like their chile relleno; kids get beam burritos and beef tacos and declare them to be the best they’ve ever had.

Food was OK and service little slow. The chips were warm the only good thing hot sauce was mild and taste like tomato sauce with slight mild taste of salsa. Food was OK as mentioned above and was bland. Wife’s order was wrong and nobody came by to see how the meal was. And place was only quarter full if that. Not recommend at all don’t waste time or your hard earn money so many better places on Main Street

I had dinner here Thursday evening. I sat on the patio since the weather was beautiful. Our server was fantastic! He was quick and always making sure we had everything we needed with out being too overbearing. I had two raspberry daiquiris that were delicious! And the chicken chimichangas were so good! They came out exactly how I asked and hot. I would definitely return to try some of the other menu items!

Service was ok, although we had to request silverware. Texas fajitas were fresh but devoid of any flavor, surprising for a Mexican restaurant. Tortilla chips and salsa were warm, crisp and flavorful. Beer selection was limited but prices were very fair. Burning smell coming from the kitchen prompted my wife and I to locate all exit signs(just in case!).
