Best hairdresser, from that place– Ramonita and Amalfi– no longer there. HE WONT TELL — after firing them– Amalfi opened her own shop w/​Ramonita… GO TO 178 S 7 th St.

The manager and stylists are friendly, greT customer service and reasonable prices. They’ve done my daughters natural hair, I liked them so I came back myself!
I’m relaxed, my doobie and deep conditioner only costs 15 dollars.

They do not do Natural hair unless they can perm it or blow it out, hence damage your hair. I have gone 3 times where I have detangled my own hair and had no problems. Now they are refusing because it is too hard. Walked up the street to platinum doobie where it is half the price and the ladies laughed at how stupid the situation is because my hair is curly but extremely manageable.

This place is not fancy but they do some dang good hair. I’ve been coming here on and off for the better part of 10 years and always get compliments on how healthy my hair is. This spot is all about quantity, get em in and out. Johnny and his crew have it down to a science but be prepared to wait on a weekend or holiday because it will be busy. Good variety of relaxers available if you’re brand loyal and prices are lower if you come on a weekday. Be polite and the stylists will try to make sure they get you over and over so they can learn your hair and preferences.
The music gets loud and if it’s someone’s birthday the ladies might do some bachata while you’re under the dryer. When was the last time you got a blow-​out for $ 15 – 20 that came with a free show?
To my fellow patrons: These ladies work hard, tip like you got some sense. I once saw someone give dollar in quarters to the wash girl. Plan ahead or make reparations later.
tl;dr: loud, cheap, fast. Everyone leaves looking good even if the décor leaves something to be desired.
