GNC

Ok, have not stepped foot into this store but after calling several (5 stores) in my area to check on stock… this was the only store (my 6^th call) that went beyond «no we don’t» and hanging up before I could even ask something else.
The lady on the phone (I totally spazzed cuz they had my stuff and I forgot to ask her name) was so nice… she had one item in and said she’d hold it for today, the other item I was out but she said she can order it and have it shipped directly to my house… the other stores didn’t even offer me that option!!! She also told me their delivery schedule so I can call at their next delivery date and check if stock came in.
So maybe after 6 phone calls and finding my stuff is screwing my star rating but really… who wouldn’t? I mean if she was that helpful over the phone what more if I was actually there in person? Actually, come to think about it… the store I do go to (Great Mall) would point me to the product and walk away and I’d be SOL if the stuff wasn’t there. The one is San Jose just pointed in the general direction and said if it’s not there go online and order it. Umm, hello the damn thing is back-​ordered online that’s why I’m looking for it in stores…

For the last 6 months, I’ve been on a crazy juicing phase. So crazy that if my house was burning down, the first thing I would grab is my beloved Breville juicer… (yes, that includes my own parents)
So as a Christmas gift, I bought my main squeeze (pun intended) a juicer from GNC, original price was 89.99 but it was on sale for only 39.99, the Vietnamese side in me just could not let a good deal go to waste. Bought it and after Christmas, we decided to test it out. After juicing a few carrots and celery it died on us… Yes, on the first use it died… So after a few curse words, crazy gestures and 20 mins of tearing my room up for the receipt, only to remember that I had thrown it away. I got into my car with a mission to rip GNC a new one. When I got there, the girl cashier listened to my story, took in my attitude and generously offered a full exchange or refund. She was so nice, I actually felt guilty for the attitude. Would I buy another GNC product… NEVER. But I would shop here for other things that wasn’t made by GNC and the customer service really does make up for the poor product.
I also learned a very important lesson: You really do get what you pay for…

I come here with my boyfriend when he needs to stock up. Good selection, but the guys (most of them) that work here are so annoying. My boyfriend ask them what do they take (pre gym or post gym drink) and most of them always say how they’re «all natural» PLEASE you work at GMC you have to take some kind of supplement. Its super annoying.

This GNC is great! About 2005 my start in highschool i went to the GNC is Union City next to Safeway the worker there didn’t know what he was talking about and had horrible customer service. but here the two workers i see on fridays and saturdays are great. Very kind and helpful. Both of them actually know what they’re talking about. Like information on the supplements (what they are, whats in the product, what it does, and what side effects they have.) Great place to get info and products.

Before coming to this store, I will usually do my research on what to buy here. For me it’s kind of going to a mechanic and preventing your self sold on things and/​or services you don’t need.
When I got to this store, I was on a mission to purchase meal replacement shakes. For those looking for a meal replacement shake, I would recommend GNC’s lean shake (chocolate flavor). Usually, if you purchase GNC branded products it’s bogo @ 50% off. Or if you have their Gold Card membership ($ 15 a yr) you can get an additional percentage during the first week of every month. These shakes are much more healthier than the slim fast ones.
When I went to go pay for my purchases, the cashier was friendly. Downside of the transaction was to get me to buy more vitamins or try their new calcium chew. I know that is a part of their job description but those convinced out of their own will are still of the same opinion still.
Overall, the transaction was fairly smooth. If you want the best possible deals here, take advantage of my advice and know what your looking for.
