3rd review(5÷7÷10) –This place is back to being great. Must have been some growing pains. Threading by Meeta is great and so inexpensive. I am back to loving them. see the reviews for«Hannah’s Beauty Bar and Boutique» for more reviews of the same place. 2nd review-This place has changed a great deal. Mahia is not there. It is a hair salon and everytime I go there, the threader is not going to be in that day. Also the henna tattoo person is never there either. Bah!

I normally go to Threads Beauty Bar in Dubin(I love that place!) and after going here, I think I would rather spend the gas and time to go to Dublin to get more«quality». The shop is nice and clean(the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars), but after the eyebrow threading, I was in pain. After threading, she put toner on my threaded areas. OMG! Harsh STING! I didn’t understand why she did that. Anyway, I will be going to Threads Beauty Bar in Dublin from now on.

*ALERT* *ALERT*!! This one is not affiliated with the one in Dublin, but I’m pretty sure you may have figured this out by now. I’m pretty faithful to Lily at the Dublin Threads, but since it’s more of a drive, I opted to try this one. When in fact if I think about it they’re both equidistant to where I live. I didn’t have an appointment, but when I walked in it wasn’t busy at all. Eyebrows + ‘stache cost 13, just a buck more than Threads in Dublin(get use to it there’s going to be a lot of comparing). I informed the lady, who didn’t tell me her name so I don’t bother asking, that I want them cleaned up and to remain even and thick. She shook her head in understanding way and proceeded to thread me. A few complaints: 1. Her hands smelled. They smelled. They smelled terrible. They didn’t smell like food. They smelled sweaty. In lack of better words, I told my boyfriend it smelled like she was working out and started scratching her hoo-hoo. That bad. I don’t even know what that smells like, but I imagine that’s what it would smell like. I’m use to hands being clean and smelling of ‘calming crème’. Is it that hard to at least wash/sanitize your hands before touching my face? 2. The threading wasn’t consistent and she spent about 5 minutes total and moved onto my upper lip fast. Unless you want a fast appointment, then this is good for you, but when Lily in Dublin spends 30 minutes on eyebrows and upper lip, why would I want anything less? 3. It hurt. I’ve been waxing/threading since I could get rid of my unibrow and ‘stache so I can tolerate it. It felt like I was plucking my own hairs at some point. 4. When she showed me the mirror, I guess her definition of even was to have one parentheses eyebrow and one angry eyebrow. Two people were looking at me by now and asking if it was OK… I usually leave it, but I had to get it fixed. 5. No calming cream Good points: 1. My eyebrows aren’t the worst they’ve been. But I know from her threading technique that it didn’t pull my hair by the roots. It’s day two and I can see hair growing back already. 2. They were relatively nice and friendly. You can tell they wanted to please the customer. 3. Nice decorations… Alas, I shall not stray from my HG of threading in Dublin.

I was running errands in Fremont when I saw the Grand Opening sign for Threads. My eyebrows were definitely in need of a fix, so I thought, «Eh, why not?» I’m glad I stopped in. The décor was eclectic and welcoming, the prices were decent, and the service was friendly. The gal who did my brows was veeeeeery careful and precise. She got the job done quickly but still seemed to take her time and paid attention to what she was doing. Bonus — they were playing ‘Project Runway’ on the DVD player(it kept me distracted from the pain). I’m definitely interested in checking out their other services(mehndi, bridal makeup) in the future.
