I visited the store about 1 week ago. They have a huge inventory.
The service I received was also superb. The person who attended to me was very knowledgeable about the kind of merchandize I was interested in (RC controlled helicopter). He did not seem to mind when I ask for advice as to the kind of aircraft that fits my level of flying skill. The other staff (1 female) was also kind and smiling when carrying out my transactions, even though my purchase was not very big.
This is a store definitely worth my time to pay a visit.

A few days ago I called a couple of hobby shops in the Tri-​City Area in search for a clock mechanism. When the phone was answered by a youngish female voice, I asked that she please repeat the name of the shop –since I had not quite caught the name. She snapped and asked me… «This is ‘HAPPY time»… and next thing I heard, was a click –DISconnecting me.
Needless to say, there was nothing «happy» about the super-​rude and disrespectful person who answered the phone.
When I logged on to Unilocal,I noticed that the ‘other’ HAPPY (?) Time location in Santa Clara has CLOSED.
NOT a bit surprised… if the proprietor allows customers to be treated as I was.
I called another hobby shop located in the Fremont Hub and while they were very polite, the person that answered my call had «no clue» about clock mechanisms.
I branched out a little further and found a PURRfect place: welcoming and friendly phone manner, as well as helpful: Drove a few miles out of my way to Hobbies Unlimited in San Leandro and received SUPERB service.
