I happened to be in Newark near this KFC so I decided to give this one a try. This KFC is in a semi-obscure area at the back of a shopping area. It has its own parking lot.
I’m somewhat impressed with the dining area in this KFC. It is clean and well-maintained. The interior décor is a cut above other KFCs and they even have flowers, albeit fake flowers, on some of the tables. Service is not bad. The chicken in the Doublicious I ordered was crispy, not soggy, so bonus points for that too.
Overall, I rate this place 4 stars, but it’s more like 4 stars and change. The main thing keeping me from giving this place a full 5 stars is KFC food is generally not very interesting.
