Bad service. The waiter looked at me with such disdain when I ordered my prime rib rare that I almost left. It’s a steak house! Rare should not frightened the waiters. The tea was weak. The prime rib was mediocre at best. The grilled asparagus was good albeit greasy. The water was fine.

Amazing service and amazing food! I would recommend this restaurant for birthdays or just for casual drinks. The rodizio is amazing and they keep bringing out more meat the entire night. Definitely worth it.

I love Rodizio’s and if u are a carnivore like I am … Rodizio’s are meat heaven!!! I’ve been to a couple of Rodizio’s and I wasn’t impressed or satisfied with the options here … First off we came here during graduation week and a lot of the tables were occupied well there were only about 6 big parties of maybe 5 – 10 people at a table so I guess the staff was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to work under pressure… But it wasn’t like it was super busy… Anyway, the Rodizio includes the salad bar and I wasn’t impressed with the salad bar either…(I actually liked this place when it was named Rio) Not too many options and the options weren’t that great like the pasta salad with miniature shrimp looking like the rubbery shrimp that comes in the ramen noodle soup cups… NO thanks!!! So when it was time to start trying out the meats I was very disappointed because the guys walking around with the meat kept skipping our table… I had to flag down the waiter and tell him that it seems like we are invisible… After that ordeal, I only got to try 3 different types of meat and I counted 8 different meats going around … How is that possible? The only 3 I got to try by the time they made it to our table it was already cold… The only good thing was the pineapple offered at the end of meal… Oh yeah and the passion fruit caipirinha… Only reason I give it a 2 is because our waiter was awesome and it wasn’t his fault our table kept getting skipped and because of the drinks… That’s it!!! No more is deserved!

The steaks are just so so. My friends ordered medium rare and medium steaks, but they are like medium well and well done steaks. I ordered Poterhouse, but they came up with a New York strip. Then they changed it for me of course. I have to wait for another long time, watching my friends eating. After a while, my steak is ready. But the first cut is disappointing. I ordered medium well, but the steak is very rare, much rarer than my friend’s medium rare one. So for the second time, they changed my dish again. And replaced a new one, which is good. After the two rounds replacing my entrée, I feel very disappointed. When we checked out, they put 40% of the subtotal as gratuity on our bill. That is unreasonable! We four consumer almost 130 bucks including tax. But we are mandatorily charged 50 dollars as gratuity! First time to see this!

Decent bar lounge. Our bartender was very attentive, gave great suggestions and made our drinks strong! The veggie burger isn’t quite a «burger», it’s a portobello sandwich with veggies. It was just ok, as it lacked seasoning. The fries were served hot, but weren’t as crispy as I would have liked. Plenty of big screens playing soccer and basketball. Lots of parking if you come early and great happy hour drink specials.

So we came for a celebration. The place seemed decent. The woman that greeted us was fine. Seemed a little stalker’ish at first but I let it go. Once everyone arrives you would expect the waiter to at LEAST introduce himself but of course he didn’t. He just came over asked if we wanted something to drink. Then, the wait for the food begins. We sat there for at least 45 minutes before someone from my party asked about the hot bar. Finally, he mentioned«Oh Yeah you guys can go ahead.» We get to the hot bar. Nothing is labeled. The ‘cooks’ were completely ignoring us. Had to call several times before they turned around to ask what certain items were. They were busy talking to each other. The food from that portion was horrible. Rice was super hard! The only good thing about the night was the meats they brought around were well seasoned! My complaint here is that we weren’t able to take the food we could not finish which was ALOT because every two seconds they came with another meat. For the amount we paid(a hell of a lot) we should have been able to take the rest with us. No way anyone in hell would be able to finish! They were moving extra slow the entire night but moved quickly when it was time to pay. Smh! Not somewhere I plan to go again.

Worst service ever. Clueless staff. They seemed surprised by people coming in. Food overlooked. I wouldn’t return here if it meant avoiding starvation. This placed should be bulldozed and replaced with a water jug and a half bag of Doritos. Would be better.

I’ve been back here 2 times since my original review. The service is pretty friendly. Unfortunately the food is below average quality. I asked for a medium rare burger and received a well done meatloaf sandwich. I give this place plenty of chances but today is my last time here.

When you have«Steakhouse» in your name I hold you to a significantly higher standard. My meal was well below average. I ordered my steak medium it came out over cooked and tough! The drinks were good but it’s hard to mess up gin and tonic. The services was pretty decent.

Four stars on the food, –2 stars on the service. Thanks Unilocalers for those candid reviews. The common denominator among the reviews I have read is that the service sucks. Unfortunately I didn’t mention any of this information to my date. My focus was on the food. Homerun. My date became distracted by the poor service. After a few cocktails it didn’t matter. They really need to work on the service end, there is a real disconnect there. Kitchen staff got it together and we will be returning. I will take the same approach as I did the last time I was there and that is not to expect anything from the servers thus eliminating any feelings of disappointment. My my hope is that management will get involved, and do everything they can to give their patrons a good overall dining experience. Once again 4 stars on the food –2 stars on the Service

Odd, location from the front. Once you get in, you better understand the placement because of the view. We were seated right away. We asked to be by the window to see the view. It was BRISK. Granted we were by the window, the heat could have been a tad higher. Our waitor. I remember his name, but I won’t post it. Well, he kinda sucked. We were one of the only ones on this side of the restaurant. Our service should have been impeccable. It took him forever to keep coming to our table. Not to mention, i think this gentleman was gay… no problem, trust me. But I think he had a crush on my date! Lol! He’d get super flustered, turn around and walk into the chair at the empty table beside us. Lol he did it about 3 times… like he was nervous. And he wasn’t paying me any mind at all. His eyes were locked on my date. But, about his service… Once the food was brought, he didn’t come and check to see how our meal was… not until we’d already finished. He didn’t ask if we needed more water, or our regular beverages refilled. My food, the mashed potatoes were cold… the vegetables could have been cooked more. But my salmon was PERFECT. Again, we waited forever for our check to come. First when he brought it to us, it was empty. No check. About 10 minutes later he returned and put it in there. He retrieved it once the card was in the folder rather fast. After he brought it back for me to sign… well, he placed the check in front of my date… never looking at me… THECARDWASMINE. Pretty sure my date’s name isn’t Hollei… but after i signed my receipt, he didn’t come back for like an hour. Ummm, the bathrooms. I’ve seen worse. But they smelled like the classic nasty public restroom. Needed cleaning.

Had dinner last night here. I’ve been here many times before, and the food is just okay. We ordered the salmon and whipped potatoes entrée and the Pichana entrée(top sirloin).

The wait time was very long for everything! To be checked on, to order food, for the food to come out the food itself was good(especially garlic shrimp) They claimed they were short staffed.

I came in on a Friday for a lunch buffet and paid $ 25 each including tax and tip amongst 3 people so total was close to $ 75(gave a 20% tip). So the food was average. The service was friendly and the cleanliness was good. We got there at 1215p and it was pretty empty. The signs weren’t complete by the buffet and I thought that was annoying because you didn’t know what you were putting on your plate. Lots of different sides to choose from the cold bar such as different pasta salads, different potato salads, couscous salad, and a regular salad bar with different dressings(weren’t labeled). The hot bar had pork, beef stew and potatoes, rice and beans… it wasn’t much due to the Rodizio included in the buffet. The Rodizio included lamb(favorite), chicken wings(2nd favorite), skirt steak, bacon wrapped sirloin, garlic steak, and other meats… it just kept on coming. The Rodizio was just ok… I wasn’t impressed with the other meats I tried. I felt a lot of the flavor was missing and chewy. I did have 2 favorites which I mentioned above. As for the end of our meal, they gave us grilled pineapple poured with Chivas/Liquor 43/Sambuca…they did a small fire show which was cool. I liked it but I couldn’t eat more than 2 slices… it was a bit strong. Other than that my overall experience was just average. I had to walk up to the register to pay when it wasn’t even that busy which annoyed me but whatever.

After dining at Mr. Adams once during the summer and enjoying it, a friend and I decided to go back again for more. Kinda wish we hadn’t. We had enjoyed the previous visit for the most part, but this time, not so much. We started out at the bar, but the throbbing, almost club-like music, coupled with the fact that the Rodizio is not available there, drove us out after only a few minutes. We went back to the bored looking hostess, who offered us the newly opened terrace as an option, which we gladly took. After sitting outside for more than ten minutes without so much as a glance from anyone, I finally approached the bartender to ask about service. She informed me that the terrace was actually closed for service due to a private party that was just winding down. Oh, and the Rodizio is not available on the Terrace. Hmm. Minor little details that the hostess might have mentioned? So, after finding our way back inside, we finally head to the mediocre salad bar, and the parade of meats on spits begins. Although my friend and I both requested Rare to Medium Rare meats, pretty much everything that came out was overlooked, not to mention bland tasting. Finally, when we were about done, one waiter showed up with a spit of rare filet wrapped in bacon. The meat was rare, as stated, but the bacon was almost raw. Someone needs to either figure out how to par-cook the bacon, or just leave it off when Rare meat is requested… At the end of our meal, the manager brought over a plate of grilled cinnamon crusted pineapple, which was by far the best part of the entire meal. Needless to say, that with all the good Rodizio and other restaurants in Newark, we will not be going back to Mr. Adams any time soon.

This is just update from my previous reviews. After 5 months since i had bad experienced here, i decided to come back because of my wife is craving for Rodizio. And this is one of her favorite place for rodizio even sometime the meat runner are slacking… But tell you honestly this time is so much better from the past experienced i had. This place earned me 4 stars right away! My server name is Ryan, his very attentive and always asking if we need anything or update from the table. The meat runner are all very good this time as well. And ill give my compliment also to the griller by making my amazing Rib Eye Steak, it was perfectly cooked the way i want«medium Rare». Over all experienced is very good and i think they all doing good adjustment based on client reviews. I definitely coming back again and i hope i will getting the same good dining experience again.

Pretty disappointed in the food. Very disappointed in the service. Rodizio– very average. The chicken wings were tender and had good flavor. The short ribs were supposed to be the highlight, although our server was cutting them with grain which made them very chewy and stringy. Service– garbage. We just sat down after the salad bar and were still ordering drinks, when they began parading around with the meat. As stated above, I asked the guy slicing the short ribs to cut me a piece against the grain and he absolutely refused. I didn’t think that was such a demanding request, but apparently he did. Alcohol– we ordered pitchers of sangria which were watered down and tasteless.
