The Branch Brook Branch is a community library located on Clifton Avenue between Bloomfield and Park Avenues(it is closer to Bloomfield Ave if you are walking it). It’s easy to get there by bus, which is helpful because street parking is rough! The branch is right smack in the middle of a residential block, but within view of Sacred Heart Cathedral. Like the other NPL branches, it serves the needs of the immediate community and provides library resources for adults and children. There are collections of best-seller books and videos available. While the building is an older structure, like from the 60s, the branch does have computers for Internet browsing, basic word processing, and accessing the library’s electronic resources. Newark Public Library is a wonderful library. Its branches are essential in supporting the NPL’s noteworthy vision and mission. For that, I give the branches 4-stars for the work that its employees and volunteers do to enrich the lives of the people in the community.
