To say that they are great, fantastic, outstanding and fabulous is an understatement! To really put things into perspective would be to say that their food is a culinary orgasm. I tried them about three weeks ago and since then I have been there at least once a week. Today I took a buddy of mine after we left Krugs and continued our culinary road trip thru Newark with a stop at No Pão. He asked me what to get so I suggested the Bifana a Zeca. I got the same sandwich but with chicken instead and they were both SPOTON!. I told my buddy that the sandwich is never going to make it home. we made it to route 21 off of chestnut st and by the time we got to the 280 overpass the sandwich was gone! It dont get no better!!!

One of the best food trucks I’ve ever had. Tried them for the first time last year at the Meadowlands during the Kentucky Derby. Then took a special trip down to Newark with my wife just to have it again. ANAZING! Had the Biffanas & Prego No Pao this time. Can’t figure out which one was better, both were on the money. Also had the Bacala last time there — by far one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Keep it up guys! Well worth the trip down to see you.

I’ve visited this truck 5 + times at my daughter’s softball games in Independence Park. Every single time, I was beyond satisfied. From their delicious sandwiches and tasty croquettes you can’t go wrong no matter what you choose. The lady and gentleman on the truck are always all smiles and very welcoming and warm. And they are this way with everyone that comes to their truck. The«Prego No Pao» sandwich is my absolute favorite. And I can’t visit without having a croquette or two or three. Braised Beef and Shrimp are my favorites. The kids love the Cheese croquettes. They even set up benches and counters for you to eat right there. The only thing I don’t like is that we have to share them with Hoboken. Lol.

Great Portuguese style sandwiches that is pretty hard to find in sit down restaurants. The bifanas here really do take me back to the tastes and cuisine in Porto when I spent time in Portugal. Best part about this place is that it’s an inexpensive option for a great lunch, which can be hard to get in this area. I feel like there are many inexpensive options here, but they suffer in flavor whereas this truck does not.

One of the hidden lunch gems in Newark. Amazing flavors and fresh ingredients. Zeca is one of the nicest guys in the area and very friendly. The bifana a zeca is my favorite — full of flavor and great portions. The bread is always fresh and the house spicy sauce is def flavorful but not for the faint of heart. Espresso is also a good way to top off your lunch and get back to work or game at the park. If you are looking for a value-filled lunch option with fresh ingredients and friendly atmosphere then stop by independence park and grab a No Pao!

This truck is one of the best I’ve had. The customer service is just as good as the food too. The owner is always personable and professional offering the best sandwiches in the City/county/possibly state. I heard they will be serving there food at pier 13 in Hoboken this summer and I will definitely go out of my way to see them there. The one negative review on the site does not closely resemble the attitude of the chef. Sandwiches are bursting with flavor and the bread is always soft and fresh… and now they have a new item similar to an empanada but tastes even better if u can Imagine that…

Great sandwiches, good prize, good conversation with the owner/chef. You could tell that this food truck is frequented and loved by regulars. I have the blood sausage sandwich(Morcela Nopao), which was amazing. The blood sausage(I have only had it once before– was being adventurous!) was great– it tasted like Christmas with a heavy clove flavor to it which was complemented by a mild and melty Portuguese cheese. No Pao makes a homemade hot sauce with a great flavor to it– it adds some acidity to the sandwich and has some interesting flavor profiles– almost like a Peri-Peri sauce, Highly recommend.

Had heard some raves about this truck. Decided to give it a try and so glad I did! Best sandwiches in town!!! For the quality and type of flavor you get, one cannot beat the price. They also serve great coffee, better then most bakeries. Becoming a «regular» the more I come. Def recommend it, quick, cheap, and delicious!!!

Seriously amazing. Could be the single best food truck out there. Now wait a minute, you say, there are so many famous ones. Empanada Guy has lines around the corner. Dark Side of the Moo is #6 in the country. Enter the Bernie Sanders to the Hillary and Jeb of the rest of the trucks. Unassuming, cheap, CHEAP — $ 5 to $ 7 for a sandwich. $ 1 waters and $ 2 sodas at a festival(Food Truck and Rock Carnival) where everyone else is making you pay $ 4 or $ 5 out the nose. So right away, that got me to try a truck I didn’t even know would be there. I had this sandwich — pork with sliced sausage, I don’t know the translation — out of this world. Juicy, just the right salty, nice portion, delicious bread. Perfect sauces. I was already full when I got to this truck but I could eat more, more, more. Shoot, I gave away the secret. Don’t everyone go stealing my cheap water supply. I’m going to need them to get through tomorrow with hydration AND a wallet! But I’ll be coming back to No Pão after this weekend, too.

Customer service is excellent, you are greeted with a hello and a smile, and when you leave they thank for your business and ask you to come back soon. Today for the 1st time I even used their«text your order» service, and I must say it worked with no problems. As for the food… excellent.excellent.excellent. What you are getting is Portuguese bar food… without the bar. Sandwiches you’ll find in many cafes, made fresh and wonderful. When I tell you these tastes make your taste buds happy. oh boy do they. The explosion of flavor is incredible. Keep it up guys. you have a gem of a product.

The unfortunate truth for this bunch is that they appear to understand that food is an experience but do not understand that if you treat a customer like they’re an idiot, that will leave a bad taste in their mouth permanently and nothing they are served will taste good. Worst customer service I have ever seen in this area. I have never been treated so rudely that I felt the need to download an app and make sure someone is aware of this… I simply asked for cheese on a raw pulled bacalhao(salt cod) sandwich… which I assumed was cold, hence being raw… and was treated like I’m a complete idiot(I grew up in a Portuguese family so this is not my first time having raw bacalhao.) First, the lady taking my order said no to my request, to which I was ok with since I assumed the sandwich would be good anyway and wasn’t a big deal. She huffed and rolled her eyes and apparently did it anyway because five minutes later I’m called up to the truck, even calling my number out with pure confusion,(saying«uhhhh. 4, 14???» Like the number itself is confusing… really) because obviously it’s so unheard of to have cheese on a cold sandwich… just to be asked twice if i understand the sandwich is cold. I nearly threw it away in disgust. I absolutely do not appreciate being treated like a complete moron just because I like cheese on my sandwich. There are much better ways to recommend better options for a customer’s request or simply say that the sandwich does not come with that option. Easy as that. Literally going out of your way to snicker about me, point and stare, shake your heads and then call me out to ask the same question about if I really understand that the sandwich is cold 3 times is not only rude and uncalled for… it’s incredibly hurtful and unprofessional. I live across the street and was really hoping for a good experience. The sandwich was ok but even if it had been excellent I couldn’t tell because I was treated so poorly. Thank you for ruining my experience and leaving a permanently terrible taste in my mouth.

This is a great lunch truck! I’m yet to see another one like them. Super clean, organized, with their own style and sandwiches named in Portuguese, good viarity and creative ones. Inspired in Portugal style delicious, there is chicken, beef, pork, smoked salmon and veggies. Freshly squeezed orange juice, expresso and their own Pimenta(hot sauce) available for purchase if you really like it like me :) I had the smoked salmon with capers mixed in cream cheese, lettuce tomatoes pressed like panini, $ 1 upcharge to add brie cheese, it is a good size and good price. They have a couple of ‘little’ tables attached to the fance in the park if you want to stick around to eat. I’ll be back!
