I usually go here for breakfast. They just remodeled inside so that’s a plus. The food is always replenished quickly. You can get made to order omlettes. There could be more selection but the food is usually good and you can’t beat the price. I love how this location has breakfast everyday. Another location I used to go to only did breakfast on the weekends. The weekends it’s usually crowded especially with kids but that just shows you its a good place. The only thing I wish they would add us cream chipped beef for breakfast.

Old Country Buffet is your standard all-you-can-eat place with a menu that’s to be expected, which consists of normal buffet fare which changes depending on what time you visit. The salad bar is pretty decent and has fresh greens and a variety of toppings every time we visit. We usually visit during breakfast and there is a ton of different breakfast food to choose from along with an omelet bar. The food isn’t really anything to write home about, but it satisfies. This location was also recently remodeled and is much more inviting and the lighting is brighter. I rate this location 4 stars primarily because every time we visit there is a waitress working named Debbie who is probably one of the nicest and most attentive waitresses I’ve ever encountered at a restaurant. She is so friendly and really makes the experience there more enjoyable.

They have renovated the place and there is a new store manager. You can definitely see a change. We go for family night and the new layout of having the face painting and balloons in the far back if the restaurant makes sense for crowd control. The food is decent and there is something for everyone.

Most of the buffet items were not up to par. Good mac and cheese. Bad mashed potatoes. Good soups bad salad ingredients. All the food was hit or miss and I wouldn’t be surprised if it varied from day to day. The lunch price is worth the value you’ll get eating there, but I don’t believe the dinner price is. Do not come here if you are picky. The additional options won’t help if you are accustomed to food a certain way.

If you want to get full at the expense of flavor, quality, and comfort come to this place. There is nothing country about it except the outdated food and service, the lady picking up dishes was slamming them in our ears next to our table and shitting her pants in my face. And the food tasted worst than mickeys there was no flavor it was absolute garbage. And the lady bringing out the food picked her bugar and shot it in the taco meat.

We eat here(usually for breakfast) a few times per month. Once in a while, dinner. The selection of food is outstanding and the staff is usually very attentive and friendly. My last visit here wasn’t the best. We arrived for a late breakfast, it was about 10am. So we had about an hour left for breakfast foods, before they switched to lunch. We had rec’d a text coupon and apparently, so did the rest of Delaware. The place was packed and the line to the cashier counter was well outside of the main door. It took about 20 minutes to get up to pay. Then another 5 minutes to actually secure a table. During the wait, several patrons walked to the front of the line, one women with a crutch and walking with a limp. She asked the family of four(holding two young children) if she could«get in line to pay so she wouldn’t have to STAND all that time waiting…» This family agreed to let her in. What an uproar after that! The woman with the crutch… clearly had no trouble at all walking to her table… OR walking to and from the buffet with a pile of food while we all stood and watched… mouths open… in amazement. I know the family gave the woman permission to cut in line in front of them… but for the 30+ folks standing in line behind them, it was extremely disrespectful and full of nerve. Management was present during this and not once did they do anything to set things right. While watching the so called«handicapped» crutch toting customer… the manager simply shrugged her shoulders. Clearly it was a scam to not have to wait in line and so they could get to buffet. Now to the buffet. The food was good. But they were out of a lot of items, including bacon. Because of the late hour(and impending switch to the lunch menu) they only did a partial refill of the bacon tray. While waiting my turn for bacon, a mother and daughter(about 12 years old) were ahead of me. While her mother watched, the daughter piled her plate full of bacon… JUST bacon. Nothing else and walked away. That left about a few bacon crumbs and little else in the serving pan. Over all, OCB is a great place to eat a large variety of good food at a reasonable price. However, some of the clientele that dine there are rude, greedy and obnoxious and management/staff does nothing to change it. We continue to get coupons and great deals for OCB but will probably not go back for a while.

It’s about what you’d expect from a chain buffet. The waitstaff is friendly and polite. CONS: –a soda is $ 2.58. It is unlimited refills, but for two people you just added over $ 5 to the price of the meal for something that costs a few cents. –Breakfast is $ 7.99PLUS $ 2.58 for the drink. No way should eggs and bacon cost you $ 10 –Not a wide selection of items. Ham, steak(not cooked to order), fried chicken, meatloaf, etc on one station and the other is tacos, nachos, and the like and that’s also where they«carve» the meats. All in all it’s okay, 100x better then Michael Patricks down the street.

Years ago these chains had decent food for a decent price, and it is nice to see a return to this. The food quality is good at a fair price. I was a little bothered by a recent visit though, I understand that soft drinks are extra and personally always just pay for the drink, a patron had not purchased a drink but filled his drink with soda, he was a frail old man that could barely walk. The staff proceeded to cause a scene taking our away from him, he was apologizing profusely they brought him back an empty cup, this poor man had to now get up and get the water. I understand he did not pay for it but to cause such a scene and basically yell at a customer is inappropriate. I had been in the restaurant business for years as upper management and would never have approved of such treatment especially over less than 5 cents in cost. I feel that there is a better solution to this raise the price slightly and include the beverages with the price.

Obviously this isn’t five star dining by any stretch of the imagination, but the staff was very friendly and the food was good, filling, and of course unlimited.

Old Country Buffet is a chain of American buffet restaurants. This particular Old Country Buffet is located in a strip mall with easy and abundant parking. It is also not far from some of Northern Delaware’s most well-known shopping venues so it is a convenient place for a meal after a round of tax-free Delaware shopping. Like all Old Country Buffet restaurants, this one has a salad bar, a table of typical entrees, a ham/steak carving station, a taco/burrito table, a dessert table, a soft-serve ice cream machine, and a beverage counter. So there is something for everyone. Everything is self-serve except for the carving station, where you would have to ask the attendant to slice off the meat for you. I typically go for the fried fish but that’s just me. Of course, I save some room for their pies and cakes too.
