Delicious peruvian chicken! Lots of flavor, their yellow rice is also very tasty. Their maduros is also amazing, Love their sauces. I thought the price was kind of steep for chicken buuuuuut it’s delicious so I keep going back.

Popped in on a Saturday, around 1:30 pm to order some delicious Peruvian rotisserie before going to test drive a new car. Left around 2 pm, fairly disappointed with a bag of leftovers that are still untouched in the fridge. Maybe I’m spoiled by some of the other Peruvian places I’ve indulged in recently, but I found the ½ chicken I ordered here at *can’t remember the name of this place as I’m writing the review — what does that tell you?* to be dry, under-seasoned and tough. My husband found their pork sandwich to also be dry and under-seasoned. Their rice was. hold on to your horses everyone. dry and under-seasoned. The french fries were properly cooked and seasoned — but I don’t go to Peruvian rotisserie joints for the french fries. The staff was really nice and the place was clean. We won’t be making a special trip back.

I’m sorry to report a review like this but. .Yucca was way too«chewy» for my taste .Yucca had«breadding» not something i personally enjoy .chicken was way overcooked .aji was okay, but not quite as strong as i like. perhaps you are supposed to ask for stronger stuff but i will never find out .choclo was good, no issues on the positive side .the staff was very helpful and attentive, no issues there .location isn’t bad, they also have outside seating which was available even tho it was lunch time .inside was busy, which means others enjoyed the food enough to frequent this place, just because i wasn’t super impressed doesn’t mean you won’t be, i hope you do

Aw some food and service. I had the half fried chicken with rice and beans. I have had Peruvian food in DC before and love it and this place didn’t disappoint me either. Highly recommended.

It is a very nice restaurant and the customer service is great. If you are vegetarian it is not a good place to go because the options are meat based. The sauces for the chicken are life changing! So good!

I order the pick there family meal two orders and with two lg of yuca fries! Fries was very un-tasty and doughy as if it was frozen! The green sauce was very salty!, chicken was dirty looking and dried out!. Rice and beans was the only thing my kids somewhat enjoyed. I’ve had Peruvian food before and this is not Peruvian food!!!

This was the BEST Peruvian meal in Delaware hands down. Had variety of meals here for dinner with the family and everything was great. Highly recommend this place. Will be coming back again and recommend it to family and friends. Thanks for great meal.

I had the ¼ chicken meal. Chicken was fantastic! Fries were good too. Only drawback to 5 star rating was no refills on soda. They need to get with the program on this. I plan on returning and trying other menu items.

All the meals are so flavorful and authentically Peruvian. Best in Delaware!

Ceviche was superb and spicy, if a little pricey — $ 13 and had to pay $ 2 to add the shrimp but it was worth it. Ceviche came with corn on the cob, piece of steamed potato and also the roasted corn kernels. Service was friendly but a little slow — looked to be just one person at the front and one in the kitchen. Highly recommended.

This is good stuff. I had a quarter chicken, white meat rotisserie with beans and fries. The menu is simple and straightforward. The part that really counts, the food, is outstanding. Lots of flavor and well prepared. One girl working there explained that the rotisserie chicken is cooked using charcoal which would account for the great flavor coupled with the seasoning they use. I will be back again and again.

The chicken a la brasa is life changing! I got the quarter pound white meat, with fries and beans. They have a $ 10 card minimum so you may need cash or have to get a drink/dessert to go over $ 10. This is a testament to how affordable they are!

Food was okay and the people are really nice, but the food is overpriced for the portions they give out… Not sure I would go back but I’ll keep it as an option when I want something a little different.

So suddenly, the EXACT opposite occurred from what I experienced yesterday at Taverna, a supposedly higher end Italian eatery and bar in the trendier side of town. In THIS case, the place was in a strip mall and is tiny. No fancy décor, or frills. Vinyl covered tables and all. HOWEVER, the food I had was out-friggin-standing. I traveled to Peru in 2004 and marveled at the huge size of veggies there and especially corn. This is «Choclo,» a starchier and less sweet variant of corn from the Andes. THEYHAVEITHERE! Both as an accompaniment to the great ceviche I had, as well as the fried corn-nut type product that is made of the same. Very impressed with their rotisserie chicken as well. The place was fairly empty, and I’ve no clue why. Perhaps because they do not sell booze? Either way, I wish them well.

I ordered the Pollo a la Brasa, with a side of beans and salad. The chicken leg was very tender and savory, but EXTREMELY salty. I hope it was just a simple mistake. The beans and salad were nothing special. Good way to fill up your plate but that’s it. I also ordered a side of Tostones(fried plantains) and this was the star of the meal. The aji that comes with it was slightly spicy and oh so delicious. If anything, I would go back for the Tostones. Overall an ok experience.

Staff was rude and ghetto. First you get two sides but come to find out if you want yucca or plantaina, the basics of peruvian, it is 3.50 a piece and you can’t trade, wtf!!! The flavor was mediocre and they say sauces but charged me a dollar for one sauce. Complete rip off and server never told me about that ridiculous charge. Needs to go back to peru

We’ve been to Peruchos twice since moving to the area. Both times the chicken was amazingly tender, the rice and beans were delicious(especially when mixed with the somewhat spicy sauce served with the chicken), and the service far exceeded our expectations. We ordered the pionono the second time around, and it was also excellent. Plus, you definitely receive your money’s worth in both quantity and quality.

This is a wonderful hole in the wall. It’s like the nearby Chicken House but a little cheaper, food’s a little better, smaller crowds, and no frills. Definitely one of the top restaurants in the Newark area. Chicken: Great. Get it «a la brasa». Lomo saltado(salty beef stir fry with french fries): Among the best I’ve had but a little pricey. Chicha morada & maracuya(sweet drinks): Made on premises and above average for this area. Pionono(dessert): Hot and delicious with plenty of dulce de leche.

One of my favorites. As far as Peruvian Chicken goes, the best in a 2 hour radius. I’ve been several times and have tried several options — and each has been great, super fresh, and very juicy. The only complaint I have, the last few times I’ve been they have no plantain options(which are usually a peruvian staple) — and its not on the menu. This is completely being picky and searching for something to complain about– go! you won’t be disappointed.
