Awesome Mechanic. I will never go anywhere else! I had just bought a car off Craigslist and needed a diagnostic. Took it to two shops before I found this one. Went to Porter Nissan for the dealership diagnostic. I emailed the diagnostic to Yen(Royal Auto Tech owner) and he went through the estimate with me(from the dealership) line by line advising what was necessary and what wasn’t. When I took my car in to him to be worked on, he actually found more issues than the full diagnostic. On top of the issues that weren’t originally included in the dealership estimate, Yen still quoted the work for $ 3k less than Porter Nissan quoted!!! He called throughout the repair to give updates and even called afterwards to see is it was running. Added bonus… my bill was actually less than what Yen quoted me over the phone… when does that happen?! Wish I would have found him sooner!!!

I wish I could give this shop more than 5 stars. I was helping a friend out, so we both called a bunch of auto shop’s looking for a reasonably priced water pump and a serpentine belt. Located in a industrial area, this place is hands down the best around. I called and got a quote for $ 250 and it only took 2 hours. All the other places we called were asking for $ 350 to $ 800 and also said it would take 5 hours to fix. Yen, the owner was very honest and professional. He will definitely get all of my future business.

UPDATE: The mechanic/owner«Yen» just called me for no reason a week after we’ve had the car back to see how the car is doing and walk through a couple of the items he performed. Confirms my conclusion that they really care beyond just wanting your business. ______________ I try to avoid dealer repair shops. I called Royal Tech last year to discuss some diagnostic codes I was getting, and the mechanic there told me in that first phone call that I could fix it on my own and also explained how the codes are used by inspectors and how to clear them myself. I was able to fix it myself, and avoided a $ 400 repair(Nissan Maxima knock sensor replacement). So this year, when I had issues I couldn’t resolve on my own(on a different car), I was happy to give them my business. Again, they were really helpful on the phone, explaining the possible problems and costs. I dropped off the car with them and had everything done, and it was very honestly priced. Great job, Royal Tech! Thanks!!!
