This rating is based solely off the food. We ordered eggs benedict over steak and what we received appeared to be scrambled omelette pieces topped with a sort mustard or apricot based sauce. The potatoes were the saving grace of this dish.

i usually don’t give out 1 star reviews, but boy the food was horrible. I had way too much time to kill before my flight out of newark. I was starving and unfortunately, this was the one of few restaurants that were available in the terminal. I ordered the popcorn shrimp and the spinach dip. I could barely eat the spinach dip because the chips were so stale, and the spinach dip had a weird coloring to it(like a yellowish color). The popcorn chicken was alright. I couldn’t even stomach the water — there was this NASTY aftertaste and it made me want to gag. Aside from the food, the service was bleh… the waiter was nice but i could NEVER find her, especially when i wanted my check so i could get out of there because i’d rather sit in the terminal waiting than wait in there. Terminal A doesn’t have much … I wish Alaska flew out of Terminal C instead(at least the starbucks is there!).

I came here about an hour before my flight departure time and yes it was packed. .expect it to be packed if there are many flights going out. this is one of the few restaurants that is very close to a few of the gates if you want to grab a quick bite before your flight. Food Jalapeño Cheeseburger — Just a typical burger, nothing too tasty or special about it. The comes in a pretzel bun which was a little too much bread for me. The pretzel bun was not soft either. Best part of the meal were the fries because they were hot(just cooked) and tasty. *they do not have that many food options here Costs — the burgers will cost about $ 10+ depending on what kind you get… Customer Service — It was ok. My friend requested for sauce twice and never received it. We were seated immediately and the food did come out pretty fast though.

Came here for a quick bite Friday night coming into Jersey with my boyfriend and his dad. My first time at Ruby Tuesdays and honestly it was awesome. I’m surprised, but in a good way haha. Usually I don’t really like chain restaurants but this one actually was pretty good. The service was awesome, our waitress was pretty and sweet. And my steak was tender, broccoli was fresh and my god the mashed potatoes were so good! Definitely changed my mind on chain restaurants.

Typical food in the airport. Service was ok, not spectacular but also not bad. I got the super fruit sangria, that was really yummy if you like sangria. Boy it’s going to make me knock out on the airplane. We got the guacamole, it also comes with pico de gallo which was good. Guacamole was ok, kind of bland for my taste. Big chunks of avocado though. The bacon burger was good, I just had a bite and that was flavorful. The chicken tenders were good too. Not dry at all, although it was kind of too oily.

Came here for a quick bite before boarding my flight back to LA. Since we had 3 hours to kill guess we weren’t looking for that quick of a bite. We got 3 plates to share amongst 3 people… The portion size here was bratty big. We were all very full after eating. I would have to say their food is not bad for airport food. And it wasn’t too pricey either. We got 3 plates, 1 soda and an alcoholic beverage and all came out to be $ 50 including tip already. We got their tradition bacon cheeseburger. The burger was good. Not dry and bland like real sit down restaurants I’ve been to before. We also got the guacamole appetizer and chicken strips to share. All of which were pretty tasty! I was content with the food. Service was typical for a restaurant like this. Not great but wasn’t bad either. Come here if you’re looking for American food and have time to kill!

I’ve never been to Ruby Tuesdays before so while waiting to board my plane, I decided to give it a try. I realize this is an airport restaurant, but if my experience is par for the course for the chain, I will never enter another one. I ordered the sliders and a drink. The drink took more than 15 minutes to arrive and I was very disappointed in the sliders. The buns were dry and fell apart(apparently previously frozen). The burgers were like hockey pucks(dry and crunchy), the pickle was the size of a quarter or smaller, and there was a small, thin, square of cheese on top of each. I didn’t even eat the buns. I wouldn’t haven eaten the burgers either but I was hungry. The fries weren’t too bad but some were very overdone. Not a very good impression of a chain. Next time, I’ll go elsewhere.

The food was actually pretty good. I had a big Blue moon with the Jalapeño pretzel burger. Their fries were yummy and that burger was bliss! The downside to this restaurant is definitely the service. They need more staff! I think they were trying their best, but were so burnt out! People waiting, all tables full… And only 2 servers! Yeah it’s a small airport restaurant but it was bursting at the seams and needed a bit more help. I would definitely return, but I would need to allow myself more time since getting a seat and ordering may take a while.

Aside from the fact that it’s already punishment enough to be flying out of Newark, this Ruby Tuesday is one of the only food places in the Virgin America terminal and has somehow managed to provide the slowest service I’ve ever been subjected to in my entire life. There were 30+ minute gaps in between every interaction we had with the staff. We were seated, and then completely ignored. Although it seemed like they had at least 4 waitresses moving around a relatively small space(barely large enough to fit families + their luggage), it was like we were invisible. I actually got up, left, got a Jamba Juice from the cart next door, and my dad still hadn’t been approached since being seated. Isn’t this an airport? How could an AIRPORT restaurant not understand the necessity of haste? It’s just not worth it, and they clearly don’t care about your business, so take it elsewhere if you can.

Servers were efficient and prompt. Location reasonably clean. I ordered the minis(sliders) with fries. Fries were very good. The meat on the minis was hot and flavorful. The condiments were fine. The buns, unfortunately, were slightly stale and still cold from the fridge. Probably would avoid this place in the future.

Do not eat breakfast here! Yes I know I probably should have thought of that before I did but just in case you are thinking about it, DONT! The service was pretty bad and the food was cold.

My brother and I were there last Sunday morning. We waited and waited to be seated, but the staff seemed to ignore us. We decided to grab a few menus and just take a table. We wait 10 minutes and they just walk past us not even acknowledging out presence. Soon after we sat down an older man came in and he was immediately sat down with a menu. We only had 30 minutes before we had to board our plane. I felt so bad for my little brother who was just wanting to eat our last meal before leaving NJ. The workers there looked tired or hungover. They were extremely slow with service –hating life and the entire restaurant wasn’t even 25% full. They continued to ignore us and not even bring us any water. It made me suspect it was maybe a racial issue? I certainly hope it was not. After 15 minutes of waiting I became extremely angry. Took my little brother and went up the hall to Phillip’s Seafood where they greeted us with a smile and served us without any issues. What is up with this restaurant? Management needs to get their act together and start cracking the whip on this place.

Let’s start by saying this is an airport food evaluation in an airport that’s painfully loud and overbooked/overcrowded. Staff: My server was friendly and fairly quick to respond. I really like how she brought a wet nap(napkin) and the check while I was finishing up without asking. It kept the place moving and me on time but who knows how often they rotate staff. Cleanliness: Surprisingly good considering the amount of foot traffic. The bathrooms are public so I can’t rate them but if I did it’d be a low star rating. Food: Went for the safe bet of a burger but with a healthily side so I choose the turkey burger. It turned out to be not to bad. It wasn’t dry and the veggies were fresh. The fries however had been sitting for awhile. Drinks: skipped my usual dirty martini and went with a beer as the bar tender didn’t seem as skilled as my server. Overall: For an airport restaurant-bar it was pretty good, definitely better than I expected so I give it 3 stars.

On November 27, 2012 we had lunch at this location since our US Airways flight was 2 hours into the future. My Wife and I sat at a table for a good 10 minutes before Tracey gave us menus. We ordered two chicken sandwiches, one coffee and one diet coke. Since we were in no rush, it didn’t matter that our Ruby Tuesday experience was a little too long. Our meal finally arrived but we had no knife/fork etc. It took a few minutes for those to arrive. The service we receive is not typical of any Ruby Tuesday outside of the Airport. You’re inside of Security, so your choices are very limited. If it wasn’t for that fact, we would have dined elsewhere. Maybe our poor service was due to one person, so let us know how your experience was, Hopefully you will not need a drink refill as the server got lost and must be hunted down.

If this was just about the food, it would be 4 stars — tasty burgers, cold beer, what’s not to like? Oh yea, the SERVICE. I ate at the bar, which is my default when I travel, and usually pays off with a friendly bartender. Not this time. The woman behind the bar — the receipt said Dinoelma? — should not be in any customer-facing job, evar. She barely looked at me when I sat down, which is fine on a busy day, but then snapped«be right with you» in a tone that made it clear she would really rather I just go away. When she took my order, she didn’t write it down, and of course it came out wrong — not that she asked or checked back. Until I started talking to the dude next to me, THEN she wanted to know if I wanted anything else. I said no, as I only wanted the one beer & my meal. Well, as soon as I stopped eating, she grabbed my plate(which still had food on it!) and scraped it into the trash while I was talking to my next seat neighbour. Then, he ordered another beer, I said no thanks, and she basically said I couldn’t stay at the bar unless I ordered something else. Yea, no. Won’t be back, really hope they find better staff.

Since I had a few hours to kill as I waited for my flight, I decided to give the Ruby Tuesday a whirl(it did not look bad, and it seemed like people were moving in and out quickly so getting a seat would not be an issue). I will NOT be back. Not only was the service atrocious, but the food(a basic chicken salad) was gross, and cold. I had to beg for refills on my drink practically.

Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in awhile. It’s a freakin shame the service sucked so bad. They werent even short handed. The waitresses were to busy having conversations with themselves and cleaning up was more important they actually servicing their customers. It was a joke. One girl was too busy gossiping about someone else. If i happen to be in this terminal I will def be back for the burger, not the service, and only because I cant go anywhere else once I pass security.

I decided to grab something to eat before my flight departed. If you’re in a hurry, this is NOT the best place to eat. Service was pretty bad. There were probably 4 or 5 waitresses just standing around chit chatting and doing absolutely nothing! No one came to our table for about 5 minutes until my boyfriend got up and told one of the girls that we were waiting for someone to attend to us. I ordered the Avocado Grilled Chicken Sandwich(grilled chicken breast topped with Swiss cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and sliced avocado). It was absolutely amazing! Grilled chicken was juicy and seasoned perfectly. Bun was pretty good and the Swiss cheese, bacon and avocado only added more flavor to the sandwich. It was heaven on earth, no joke! Once again, my boyfriend had to get up and ask them to bring our bill over after waiting a while. Service wise, they need to do something about the lazy and inattentive staff they have. But food wise, my chicken sandwich was pretty awesome!
